To the person who thinks this place is on par with ramen bars in NYC: did we eat at the same restaurant? My boyfriend and I took a weekend trip up to Beacon to hike. After a short drive from the city, we decided to explore Main Street after a recommendation from a friend. We stumbled upon Quinn’s and were delighted to find that they serve«good» ramen. We sat down after an awkward interaction with the hostess. Apparently you can just seat yourself, but since my boyfriend and I didn’t know that, we just stood at the entrance looking at the hostess waiting for her to seat us. This is besides the point, but important if you ever want to visit. We both ordered the charsiu ramen with fried pickles as an appetizer. The wait was reasonable given that the late night crowd was slowly pouring in. I ordered a drink as we waited, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the drink menu was quite large. The fried pickles arrived and were delicious! The pickles themselves maintained a crunchy texture despite being coated in batter and deep fried. The ramen arrived, and I will admit that it looked great. We got a whole egg, and generous slices of pork. However, that’s pretty much the highlight of the dish. My ramen was warm, and broth was lacking. Like seriously lacking. It tasted like I was eating watered down top ramen from the grocery store. Luckily they supply chili oil and togarashi, because I was loading my broth to create some kind of flavor. I couldn’t even finish my ramen, but towards the end of our meal, I tried my boyfriend’s ramen. It tasted completely different, not better, but different. His had a little more kick of flavor. Not impressed with the consistency. Despite the ramen which I had such high expectations for, I would still recommend coming to Quinn’s because of the large drink selection, and overall relaxed environment.

Awesome 70s dive bar ambiance; legit ramen; solid Monday night jazz band. Seems to be a local hangout for 20+ kids who have taste. Will definitely visit again when in Beacon.

We have been quite enjoying this little gem since moving to beacon. Our first trip here we were lucky enough to catch some great jazz music and have a few beers. The service seemed decent and the food smelt good so we decided to return for dinner on another night. Our server was excellent. Extremely friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We tried the steamed buns filled with pork which was incredible! We also ordered some delicious sake that our server recommended. For our entrée I ordered the curry and my boyfriend ordered the veggie udon. I would say the dishes were okay. They were a little lacking in the flavor department. For dessert we ordered the black sesame mochi which was out of this world. We also ordered a desert that was similar to a crispy waffle with ice cream stuffed inside. Very reminiscent of a chocotaco. That was also very good but if I had to choose just one dessert it would be the mochi. We will definitely head back for the steamed buns and mochi!

Always great music. Monday night jazz incredible. The food is a plus for sure. I love the spicy wings sake and wide variety beer. My wife is a Ramon noodle fan. It’s the miso sauce that we love. Great staff. Fun and friendly people that go there.

We had the mochi ice cream and some warm house sake, both were delicious! Can’t wait to come back to Beacon and have a full meal /catch a show with the best atmosphere in town.

Quinn’s is doppeeeeee! I’m a full-on ramen snob. ippudo, totto, ramen lab, minka’s, etc etc. had em all. love em all. Quinn’s is actually good ramen! WTF? the miso chicken/pork ramen with a full egg(none of that half egg crap) and tender chashu pork was amazingg. and the décor made me feel like i was back in nyc. diner from the outside but japanese music venue on the inside. so sick. embrace it, boners!

This place is great. It’s the only place in town where I can post up at the bar and talk to whoever is next to me about semi-obscure music. Also, the luncheonette/japenese thing is great. It’s all sort of like a Tarantino movie somehow. The stewed pork belly, and the steamed buns are good choices for food. Also all of the noodle dishes are good. I wouldn’t bother with the hot dog. Good beer selection.

Best cocktail in Beacon. Also last winter they had the rockinest ramen. I hope it comes back this winter.

The music is usually pretty great. The owner and staff are also pretty great, at being people, anyhow, not at the service industry, unless you sit at the bar. I really want to like this place more. I keep trying. However, they have a menu and serve food, so why is it you have to pull teeth to get someone to give you a menu? Then once you have a menu, no one comes back to take an order unless you’re sitting at the bar. The 1 out of 15 times I was able to get their attention as they ran past, I only received half of what I ordered. Maybe they couldn’t hear bc that night’s music was blasting. When you do get food, it tastes great. Really. Just not sure I want to keep putting up with that when I’m just there to eat and enjoy some music.

Best bar in town… and beyond They don’t try to hard; they have a vision from a time before the rise of the gastropub and I couldn’t be happier with it. The food is unusual and creative, the drinks are exactly what they should be and the ambiance is everything I like in a bar: great(live) music, dark and retro.

One of the most unique bars I’ve been too. Delightfully unexpected 60’s atmosphere and great Asian inspired food.

i was only there once, but thought this place was awesome. first, i love the old school 60’s pizza parlor décor; it looks like a location for a tarantino movie. second, the menu is a weird mix of japanese food, but then you can order brie sandwiches on delicious baguettes. my friend and i split an order of the tako yaki, the octopus balls with bonito flakes and mayo on top. they were so yummy, even better than the ones i’ve had at the place in the village. my other friend had the udon, and she enjoyed that as well. we also had the brie sandwiches, mine was veggie and his had pepperoni. we devoured them in a matter of minutes. granted, we did go there after the beer fest, but i will definitely go back. they also have a sick selection of beer, esp bottled beers, and wines on tap, which you don’t see too often. i love quinn’s!

The only place this has going for them is their bottled beer selection. They fall short or entirely miss the mark on literally everything else. This place can’t decide if they’re a a retro diner, a hot dog joint, or an attempt at a high end Japanese restaurant. Did I mention they serve wine out of a tap? Don’t bother sitting down to eat, especially during prime time. It’s a free for all with no hostess or knowing who was seated first. I overheard a server saying they only work 3 – 4 hours and split tips with the bartenders. Cool for them I guess but if I’ve been a bartender and I would never work in a place like that. The food is absolutely awful. The Japanese food I had was so over salted and incredibly over priced. The place was an old diner and they tried to get on that train, but the lighting is so dark and the music is so loud it makes it uncomfortable to actually hang out. Now I only visit on occasion now when my friends drag me there at the end of the night. I wish it wasn’t so. I guess by the end of the night when I’m drunk it’s remotely tolerable.

This renovated diner turned bar is pretty cool. They have a lot of beers and also choices of sake and liquor. The food they serve is American(which they call the gringo menu) and also Japanese items. Monday night they have free jazz, but all of their music they have is free so it’s a nice spot to stop into for that alone.

We’ve been walking past here since they started construction. Finally went in for drinks. The bar is awesome! Great beer selection and wine on tap(actually the cab was pretty good). Next time we are coming to eat too! Food smelled great!

An update: Quinn’s is no longer a simple dinner but a live music venue with tasty Japanese and non-Japanese food. Also great drinks. Same décor.

Love this place. One of the coolest spots in beacon, everything from the original diner interior to the bands and crowd. Menu’s got some good things in too in case your hungry.
