I can’t believe this place isn’t higher rated. I have never eaten in the restaurant. Just got my food to go. Their Brisket steak Phở is probably the best I’ve ever had. There was a point when I lived nearby I ate there 5 times in one week. Definitely stop by and try the Brisket Steak Phở and spring rolls. I want some right now!

I recently found this place a couple months ago. And almost every time I’m in Bear I come here. I haven’t had their phở yet(because mostly I order takeout) but their vermicelli dishes are yummy(pork is my favorite.) I always get a taro bubble tea smoothie as well. And recently I tried their milk tea. The tapioca pearls in their smoothies are sort of bland and sometimes rubbery. Also their appetizers, like their rolls are relatively small for the price. It is nice when ordering takeout and running late, they keep your smoothie in the fridge to keep it cold. I’ve been to this place almost 10 times and I will keep coming back.

I was so disappointed with the phở. Tasteless. Left the floor wet after sweeping, my husband and daughter almost fell. Then they told me a very irrelevant reason. Pathetic. Will never return and advise you guys not to come in this place.

My husband and I use to eat here once a month. For phở in DE region, they were better than others. It use to be decent; not having to add tons of sriracha and hoisin sauce. After they opened the 2nd store, the quality went down hill. Phở is all about flavorful broth and the meat is rare. The meat is serve cooked when it comes to the table and the broth is bland.

First off, let’s get one thing straight– you don’t come to a phở restaurant expecting top notch service. It doesn’t exist. However what does exist here is the best tasting phở in all of Delaware, hands down. Come for the food, not the service. If you want good service go try Applebee’s. This place is run by one family all day everyday, give them a break. What they lack in service, they make up for in taste!

Food was not bad, rude servers. No thank yous, no curtesy. I would suggest not going here if you expect basic courtesy from your servers.

The food was aright, but the service was horrible. We ordered a bubble tea but it was powdery and way too sweet. Asked for a different one but was refused. They took back the bubble tea but ended up charging us. They took forever to pick up the check too. Not coming back again.

I have been here a bunch of times before this. This is most authentic phở in northern Delaware. The décor is not much to look at. The ventilation is not the best and sometimes stuffy, the food is always good.

This place is my go to if I am not in Wilmington. Lots of broth and meat, yummy shrimp rolls. I top it off with a soursop drink. I am surprised more folks dont go there! I hardly ever see anyone when I go.

Waitress is very unfriendly, she seemed annoyed when I said I needed more time to look at the menu. Phở was horrible, pork rolls were greasy and disgusting.

Was in the area so I stopped by for a quick lunch. Right off the gun, the service was horrendous. No greeting whatsoever and, felt pressured into ordering on their pace. As for the food, Phở broth was water downed. Shrimp in the summer rolls didn’t taste fresh and to top it off she made me pay for a take out container. Would give a half star if I could. Horrible experience.

I liked the phở I got, brisket and meatballs(although I wouldn’t get the meatballs again). I also got egg rolls which were tasty, put the dipping sauce was very bland. Service was good and we were the only non-Asians in the restaurant, which I take as a good sign of authenticity. They were listed as «permanently closed» on Google, so maybe they are under new management now.

The phở quality is pretty lacking. There was basically a 5 or 6 piece of meat and pretty pricy for what you get. Can’t really compare to thenpho you get in south philly. The service is pretty lacking as well. I don’t really expect much from Phở place but the waitress was not so friendly.

I ordered takeout and after paying I opened the container to put some napkins, hot sauce and brown sauce in my grilled chicken vermicelli, the old lady yelled and said«did I pay for that». Apparently they charge .25 for a little container of sauce. That was very rude of her and it’s like going to McDonald’s and being charged for ketchup

Horrible service. The inside is dingy, dark, and depressing. It’s understaffed and the server is not friendly. Their seafood noodle soup is literally three shrimps, two pieces of squid, and two fish balls. Horrible value. It’s one of the worst phos I’ve ever had. No question. Apparently the beef soup is good, but I can’t have any of that so I can’t judge this place on someone else’s word because that’s against the Unilocal policy.

Had the brisket and meatball phở and it was delicious! Is recommend getting extra meatballs because they’re just too tasty! The summer rolls were fresh and the shrimp didn’t have a weird fishy taste. Ive been here a few times over the last 6 years and the food is consistently good. Our server was lovely and helped explain how they do their phở to our friends who had never been there before. I’ll definitely be back soon.

DONOT trust the pictures on the menu otherwise you would be super disappointed. Plus the waitresses were very unfriendly and wearing poker faces. Foods were ok but a bit tasteless, highly NOT recommended.

Not sure why it was recommended to be 1 of the top ten must try restaurants in Delaware. I guess the author either never tried their food or taste blindness. I ordered a brisket and beef soup phở. Heavy msg broth with few slices of beef. I had msg allergic reactions rest of the day. I would never have their soup phở again. Service was quite good. The server was attentive and nice.

Food: I don’t eat red meat so I can’t attest to any other phở besides the phở ga(chicken phở), but the phở ga is fantastic. I always come here to get the phở ga when I have a cold. A much better alternative to canned chicken noodle soup. :) I also religiously get their vegetarian egg rolls. They come with a spicy sweet fish sauce which I swear by. I’ve also had the chicken and rice meal — so good and filling! Atmosphere: Clean and lots of room to dine in. No booths, all tables. Service: Service has mostly been good. They have a very casual way of serving so if you are dining in for the first time don’t expect too much. Food is always out very fast. I come in to get take out a lot and I’ve been offered water and tea while I wait, which is a nice touch.

In short: This is one of my go-to restaurants in the Newark area, despite the slight drive. If I came alone, I’d get the regular brisket phở and one roast pork roll and be content. Word of warning, they run out of basil sometimes(usually Thursdays), but it’s worth the risk. In full: I’ve been here so many times, we have the routine down pat as outlined below. For optimum experience, I’d recommend following a similar procedure. Modify to accommodate variations in taste preferences and appetites. 1. Check the window before entering to confirm we remember the order numbers correctly(34 and 7) 2. Order two large brisket phở(34) and two roast pork rolls(7) by number and the complimentary tea. For variety, switch out one #7 for a shrimp summer roll(1?). 3. Eat half of a roast pork roll appetizer, and feed the other 1.5 to boyfriend. 4. Divide the basil, lime, and bean sprouts among us and add to phở. 5. Add a smallish circle of the unlabeled red siracha and multiple circles of the unlabeled hoison sauce to phở and stir; adjusting sauce ratio to taste. 6. Eat 2⁄3 of phở, and feed the remainder to eats-until-he’s-stuffed boyfriend. 7. Wait for boyfriend to order and consume a third #7 for dessert. 8. Flag down waitress, pay, depart, and succumb to food coma.
