My husband and I took a long weekend trip to stay with Captain Dick and Ms. Ruby at the Captain’s Quarters Bed and Bicuit in Beaufort, NC as a way of wrapping up all of the summer hustle bustle. We were looking forward to having a relaxed weekend, and what better town to do that in than Beaufort. Our welcome could not have been more warm. Capt. Dick welcomed us, helped get us situated in our room, and shared some of the great eats and fun things to do around town. At 5pm each day we gathered with he, and his lovely wife Ms. Ruby for toasting the sunset. Other guests came as well and we got to hear sea stories and share information about ourselves in a relaxed, and not forceful manner. The B&B is walking distance to everything so we were so happy to have left our car parked the entire stay. We ate, drank, and were merry all over Beaufort and enjoyed our evening walks back to the B&B. Breakfast was scrumptious with wonderful food and Ms. Ruby’s biscuits. A great way to start the day while on vacation. We could not have asked for a more charming B&B and we have stayed in our share. We enjoyed talking with Captain Dick immensely and found he and Ms. Ruby to be both warm, caring, and truly concerned with wanting out stay to be wonderful without being intrusive. Couldn’t ask for a better place than this! Just lovely!
