From what I understand, every business in Beaufort has special events catered by Steve Brown’s. Seems as though he is a local legend, and the food lives up to the legend. I am a big fan of their crab cakes and their ribs. They have a pretty good smörgåsbord of food, plenty of salads and meats and seafood selections. There’s really no dining in, you either get catering or get food to go.
The staff is super friendly and very helpful. I never have to wait in line either, and they have really great lunch and dinner specials. I’d much rather get a meal from Steve Brown’s than go through a drive through fast food place. His food will keep you full for hours.

Unbelievable food at reasonable prices! The catering for my wedding on Fripp Island was excellent, and the coordinator was amazingly helpful, which is great since I hadn’t done anything like this before. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, because they are more than happy to answer and give advice, and especially for out-​of-​towners that don’t know the weather and bug (!) patterns, it’s priceless. They’ll even do the fogging for mosquitos.
Definitely get the crabcakes! And catered, the mini crabcakes cooked on site.
