You are transplated to the Beaumont area for a job assignment or possibly just moved here and crave a decent crêpe but you know there is no such happening in this semi sad city so where do you turn too? A mall! Step into Parkdale Mall which is probably the best of the two local malls within a 20 mile radius if not more. In one of the legs you will see an Asian guy stepping out offering samples, he’s a persistent little booger but but his cheeriness will have you sold with those semi puppy dog eyes to try his inventions he’s concocted. Don’t mind the grumpy old guy next door that is always out of tapioca, he’s going down and you know why? Because this place being next door has the smooties, the slushed iced drinks with all of the high fructose corn syrup for your sugar coma you can handle. There are other goodies here but the crepes, yes the crepes! He has a good combination which I would say give you over 50 options of mix n match. Milk is not on the menu but he’ll sell you a glass of that(otherwise I would never have gotten a crêpe, must was down with milk). I would rate the crêpe a 7 out of 10 in all of the crepes I’ve had in my life but hey if you want to get the real McCoy then travel 100 miles to Houston to specialty crêpe shops, we won’t be hurt, but the closes thing would be here. Prices are very reasonable, customer friendly is tops and parking… well you are in a mall so go figure. One negative that really isn’t his fault… seating. It’s not quite close to the food court so if you wanted to be a little creative and spooky at the same time you’ll have to eat your crêpe 20 feet from the store front… in front of the kiddie playland(you know, the ones you put quarters in). I did not want to look like a pedofile looking at bunch of kids on these rides so I quickly consumed my nutella, caramel and whipped cream crêpe and carried on my business, society is judgamental these days hah!
