Meeting with clients here in Beaumont, and I heard that Anna’s Mexican bakery has a must try café con leche. Too my surprise, it was one of the best café con leche I have had in a long time. Almost compares to the quality you would get at a Miami restaurant. It was so good that I had two. Anna Garcia was so sweet and welcoming. Next time I’m in town, this is a must stop place. Didn’t have an appetite but I bet the pastries are delicious as well. They have one of the biggest, freshest assortment that everyone will be satisfied.

Found this gem on Unilocal.I got here just in time to get the last empanada. So delicious. I’m also having a cinnamon roll. It was hard to choose which of the many baked goods to have. The vanilla cappuccino is also wonderful. Great place with friendly staff. Will definitely come again!

This is just a local treasure. Makes one think of Quack’s in Hyde Park, Austin, but with a Mexican flair. Super friendly staff and, of course, delicious pastries and other delights.

Tasty fresh baked goods! Delicious flakey croissants, yummy Mexican Galletas, fresh bolillos(small fresh bread) and delicious cakes. Don’t pass this bakery if you need a quick breakfast, treat for the kids, special desert or good bread for sandwich or on its own.

How did I not know about this place? In the old Carlo’s location, this unassuming panaderia(Mexican Bakery) is a gem. Just like my favorite location in Austin, I can get sweet potato empanadas and fruit filled sweets. They make their own horchata(sweetened rice drink) and ice creams. I love wandering the shop with my tray and tongs, discovering new treats. But I have to say that it’s the patio that puts the fifth star on my review. Grab your sweets, get a cold drink or some coffee and head out back. The patio has a little footpath bridge, water trickling and a gorgeous display of ginger, philodendrons and other tropical plants. At the risk of giving away my secret place, why am I the only one ever sitting out there? Definitely on the list for breakfast for out of town guests.

The walls lined with wood cabinets, full of Mexican pastries, makes for a lovely visual. I haven’t had the pastries yet but I did order a strawberry tres leches cake from here for my mom’s 60th birthday. We made the call at Noon on Saturday and they had it ready by 4 p.m. The cake was moist and not overly sweet. The frosting was whipped perfectly and the cake looked pretty! For the small round cake that serves around 8 – 10, it was $ 20 — not too shabby. I will have to come back and try all their pastries AND homemade paletas!

We love this place! It’s become our family’s «go to» place for pastries and bread. The Mexican frozen desserts(ice cream and more) are a treat that everyone should experience.

This place is great. Authentic, unique, with a wide selection, great display and very clean. Can’t go wrong especially since you won’t break the bank here. Recommend the Huevos Rancheros for breakfast. The place is phenomenal!
