Beaumont, TX
Carefully restored. Befitted with period furnishings, most once owned by the French family but none are modern. No electric lighting. Our tour was conducted by flashlight and natural light. Air conditioned, thank goodness because summer in SE Texas means both the temperature and humidity are high. Amy, the Docent, is so sweet and knowledgable. The grounds are excellently maintained. A true show piece.
