The food is ok but Gloria, the server we had, was clearly not interested in being there this evening. I’m not a demanding person at all when it comes to dining out. I’m an RN in a very busy ER, so I understand how things can get crazy and that there are often things that are beyond your control that can make situations less than ideal. So I consider myself more sympathetic than most, but it wasn’t busy at all. She wasn’t rude by any means, but she definitely wasn’t very warm or helpful either.

Stopped while driving through. Had been to a Lupe Tortilla in north Houston. Like this may seem like the same chain the menus are not the same. The quality is not the same. It’s is ok Tex Mex as a stand alone restaurant, but compared to another Lupe Tortilla, it was like eating at a Taco Bell. We will not stop again in Beaumont.

**This review is for this location of Lupe Tortilla and does not reflect my previous experiences at other Lupe Tortilla locations.** If you’ve eaten at and enjoyed the Lupe Tortilla locations in the Houston area, you’ll be disappointed in the Beaumont location. It’s poorly managed and the menu is *not* what you’re used to. First, I’m going to upset the few Beaumont residents who have computers and read Unilocal, but this town isn’t ready for a restaurant of Lupe Tortilla caliber. On my visit(12/12/2015) the bathroom was on par with the worst truck stop in Arkansas, and the manager said«I’ll fix it in five minutes.»(He was preparing for a large party coming in. Hopefully none of them wanted to wash their hands.) Our server was extremely nice and responsive. But she cannot help that she works under a crappy manager and with a half-constructed menu. Want crab-stuffed avocados? This location doesn’t serve them. Want a «pick your own» combo? This place has them, and they are on par with the stuff you get from the grocer’s freezer. Steer clear of this location. It’s poorly run. Very poor ambassador for the Lupe Tortilla chain.

The food was very fresh and cooked well, good portions, fast friendly service, I would recommend to stop by, the only thing I can complain about is that no one came by after I was given my food to see if I needed anything else, or if my drink needed to be refilled.

Tortilla is 1 of 4037 Tex-Mex restaurants in the Beaumont area and it’s a chain in Texas. That being said, I’ve been 4 – 5 times and it was good each time. Lupe is a large restaurant with a full bar, lots of outdoor seating and a cool play area for the kids. The last time I came was on a Tuesday where they had«all you can eat» fajitas for 16.95. So I ordered it thinking I would have to eat all the rice and beans too before they gave me more fajita meat. So before the food comes out, they bring out the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were hot and the salsa is more like pico in that it’s chunky and no liquid. They also bring out a complimentary ranchero beans for the chips that is yummy. After I ate a few of these and then a cheese enchilada comes out. I tried to explain to the waitress that I didn’t order this, she says it’s part of the«all you can eat» fajita meal. So I scarfed it down and it was pretty tasty. Note: There was pieces of meat in the enchilada sauce for my veggie friends. The fajitas came out soon after and it’s a decent sized portion. I ordered the steak and«cheekin»(their spelling not mine) version that came with spanish rice, refried beans and 3 – 4 tortillas. The meat was cooked with some charred onions and plenty lime juice and was super tender. They were perfect. Before I finished eating the actually fajitas and before I touched the rice and beans, the waitress asked if I was ready for my next serving of fajitas. They are not stingy! I actually liked the flavor of the spanish rice for once as it was cooked with peppers, onions and a little lime. The refried beans were the usual boring flavor. All fajitas come with cheese, pico and guac. Sour cream available upon request. Really good meal and you get your moneys worth. Friendly service and I’ll be back when I’m in Beaumont

By far the worst service… especially if you sit at the bar. I sat for 10 minutes on a slow Thursday night before the bartender even acknowledged me. Took my order w/o a chip set up… Seriously!!! Requested chips from 2 different staff members… still no chips. And then waited an additional 30 minutes for a to-go order. Thanks Thomas the Bartender for your service.

1 of my favoritest Mexican restaurants in Beaumont! The food is always delicious and reasonably priced. The Margaritas are awesome and I’ve always enjoyed the pleasurable staff!

Best Mexican Food in Beaumont! Slowest wait staff in Beaumont! A little bit of wait staff training will go a long way.

Terrible service. Showed up at 8:30pm and they turned off the ac. We asked several time for them to fix it and even the waitress said she had asked them to turn it on. She changed her story and said it’s just what they do when they are getting ready to close. Food was decent but didn’t care when we are sweating at our table. I had two kids with me and with the heat they were cranky and hard to manage. Will not be coming back. This was 8÷9÷2015.

Love this place… Best fajitas in town! Fajitas, guacamole, beans, chips, salsa, homemade corn and four tortillas and margaritas is what I have every time because it’s just so good. I imagine the rest of the menu is good as well but I can’t seem to change from my usual order.

In town for the week & we were told about this place. We got that fajitas(did 1lb of meat & split it between 2 adults &1 child). The meat had great flavor & wasn’t over cooked & tough. Only negative is I really think it’s overpriced. We may come back if we’re in town but it wasn’t an OMG food experience.

On business in Beaumont and went with three colleagues to Lupes for lunch. Two of my party ordered fajitas for two. The waitress brought out a TINYTINY sizzling plate of fajitas. She said it was half a pound. The price on this ½ pound was 18.95! What the %#@&! Are you kidding me? We were then told a whole pound was $ 36! I looked at Elena’s menu and a pound was $ 15.95. This is insane. The pitiful 8 oz could barely make one fajita. I ordered a chicken breast lunch size and the Serrano pepper on top of it was longer than the chicken itself. For 8.95! Damn. And it was NOT good. I do NOT recommend this place.

Stayed in Beaumont over night and needed some yummy Mexican food. This place is adorable! Love the décor and atmosphere. I ordered the chicken tacos and they do say that they are similar to an enchilada, similar? Exactly! There is nothing representative of a chicken taco here. I am not sure if locally this is what a taco is but coming from out of state — it was just kind of weird to be honest. The tortilla was way to dough(ie) and the filling just barely warm. I ordered refried as the 10.00 tacos come with nothing. The beans never came which was fine as after I took a bit of hubbies, they were so salty and had ham or something in them. They in my opinion, not yummy at all. Hubby loves salt and ham so he enjoyed them. My husband loved the beans that came with the chips and salsa and he did say that his combination too was weird at first bite but it grew on him. It was busy so people must really like it. If we lived there, it would not be a place we would go to again. Its also a bit pricey for what it is.

Meh. I’ve had better(and cheaper) mexican food, and I have had worse. I remembered why I didn’t like going to this place, the prices. They are so proud of their products that they are prices above market. Way above. I ordered off the lunch menu and somehow still spent 20 bucks. Which baffles my mind. I do like that they give you beans and salsa to dip your chips in before the meal, but honestly that’s about where the awesome ends. Overall 2 stars. They need to address their high costs to flavor ratio to grab my business again.

Out of town visitors from Louisiana. Within 15 minutes we were messaged via text that our table was ready. Amazing margaritas, wonderful service, and tasty food! The salsa was fresh pico style, the queso was sharp yellow cheddar, and the tortillas were HUGE! I ordered the«cheecken tortillas» and hubby had the beef quesadillas. Both entrées were delicious.

We were first time visitors to Lupe Tortilla. In a nutshell, it’s a great Tex-Mex restaurant. However, since it’s so new, everybody and their brother is there. You can see that as you pull in the parking lot and look at all the people waiting outside. We got on the waiting list at 5:25pm on a Saturday night and were told it was a 45-minute wait. We were not seated until 6:37pm(I know the exact time because they send you a text message instead of using buzzers). There was definitely a lot of unrest amongst the people waiting with us because it seems like their formula for calculating wait times is a bit off. I am not giving 5 stars because they really need to remedy the problem of telling people inaccurate wait times. On the bright side, there is no better place to wait. There is ample seating right outside the restaurant with fire pits and a playground/sand pit for kids. Many people started drinking early and were enjoying their beverages on the patio. Once we were seated, we were greeted immediately and after ordering, our food came out really fast! You are given the standard chips & salsa, as well as a small bowl of beans. We had chili con queso, nachos compuestos, chicken & beef fajitas, and we also ordered sopapillas for dessert. All excellent items. The food is definitely fresh & high-quality. We enjoyed our experience, but will probably wait to return until the novelty wears off, so we don’t have to wait so long!

Many other people have left a bad review of this place due to it taking too long to get a seat, etc. Please keep in mind: This restaurant just opened in Beaumont. EVERYONE wants to eat there. So if you don’t want to wait, go during non-busy times(2pm-3pm). We went on a weekday about 2pm. We walked right up to the hostess, asked for a table for 3, and were sat down at a nice booth immediately. They of course served chips with salsa, and pinto beans. The salsa was more of a pico de gallo consistency– not pureed like most other hot sauces at other restaurants. It was very unique though and the salsa was flavorful with a little bit of spice. We liked it alot. We ordered a margarita which was great. They have a 3 margarita limit. For our entrée, we ordered ½lb Mixed Fajitas. It was more than enough to feed both my husband and I. *THESEWERETHEBESTFAJITASWEHAVEEVERHADINOURLIFE!!!* We will never eat fajitas ANYWHERE else except here now. :-) The fajitas are so moist and tender, and literally melt in your mouth! They are marinated in this heavenly marinade that is so very good. They also have a little play area for kids outside. Really awesome for when they are driving you crazy! lol ;) I give this place 5 stars. We had great service, great food, and great margaritas. Would definantly recommend this place for fajitas– just not during«rush» times. :-)
