The place needed a remodel 10 years ago. Literally falling apart. Broken trim broken booths, dirty sidewalk, worn out chairs and tables, yellowed pictures on walls cuz they are so old. And last time I went we had our little grandson with us. We noticed the game he was playing had the electrical HANGINGOUTOFTHEWALL! Dangerous and Depressing. What a shame cuz actually the food is good. Just can’t take the atmosphere.

Pizza is good, salad bar is great, but the building needs to be remodeled! Went to watch Cowboys game and looks like management has changed again! Lazy workers… gnats in the dining area… smelly carpet! Won’t be coming back for a while! Game room is antiquated but the staff is usually nice and accommodating! Usually have sports on the big tv and something on the smaller tv! Great for groups!

Let me first say that I frequented this establishment a LOT when I was growing up. It was a regular stop for my group of friends after church, especially. On my last visit — and trust me, this will permanently be my last — I ordered a salad from the salad bar and a personal cheese pizza. As I began eating I noticed a dead bug in my salad. I brought the bowl up to the counter and showed the girl who was standing there the offending item. She said, «oh!» and simply handed me a fresh bowl. O_o While I realize that many of the workers are younger, I can’t believe that they would have found this behavior acceptable as a patron! I simply passed on the bowl and sat back down to await my food and search out the manager. It seems the manager must have either witnessed the exchange or, perhaps, the worker alerted him. Either way, he came over to my table to apologize, and informed me that they do spray for bugs but that pests in the salad could be perhaps be picked up in transit. He was very kind and apologetic and he offered me a coupon for a free meal on my next visit. While chatting, he noticed that my dining partner was almost finished with her meal, and I was still sitting there. He asked if I had ordered an entrée’(which I had) and apologized AGAIN since I had been waiting so long. Upon checking in on the kitchen staff, he emerged with my pizza and said that the order had been misplaced. Though the manager seemed to care, it was clear that his staff was severely lacking. I very much appreciated his overall handling of the situation; however, the food quality is just not that great anymore.

Pizza and salad lunch combo is very affordable. The salad bar is awesome and you can’t beat Mazzio’s signature Ranch Dressing. Unfortunately, Mazzio’s isn’t the cleanest place in the world, and their pizza isn’t the best by any means, but if you’re looking for an awesome salad bar and decent pizza for $ 7, this is your place.

Mazzio’s used to be my mecca as a kid. The game room was unbeatable. Sunset Riders, TMNT, Off Road Challenge and all the rest of the arcade games took all my quarters. When I ran out of quarters a swift kick to the coin area usually could get me a free game or two. The pizza was always secondary. Now the good games are gone and it’s still the same pizza. I can’t find any reason to come here. The pizza really isn’t all that bad and the giant salad bar has a plethora of toppings to make your salad look like an abstract masterpiece. That being said, there’s better pizza around. Carrabas, New York Pizza, Joes and plenty of other options are out there with better/fresher ingredients and tastier pizzas. If you have children Mazzio’s is still a good choice to keep them busy and save some money on a kiddie size meal. This is a place for families and it works as that kind of establishment, but if you want killer pizza try out a different spot.

I drove all the way from Houston to get my Mazzio’s fix. I can’t believe they aren’t in Houston, then again, residents of H-Town don’t really have the best taste in food and are willing to throw their money away for trash(my Unilocal bros excluded). I was happy to find that it wasn’t closed and the parking lot was exceedingly full. Good sign. I walk in and find no pizza on the buffet. No pizza on the lunch buffet? There are three different salad buffets though??? I hope this isn’t a wide spread overhaul of Mazzio’s lunch buffet. Maybe it’s an actual expansion of Obama’s Nanny State. I just don’t get it. These fools are lining up almost out the door for a buffet that has no pizza. AT A FREAKINGPIZZAPLACE!!!1 «But sir, we have lunch specials and a salad bar with the freshest ingredients!». Oh, you mean I can pay $ 7 for a tiny personal pizza and salad that is an afterthought at any other Mazzio’s? Will you piss on me and tell me it’s raining too??? Please? Ugh. My fault for not calling ahead and asking the pizza place if they had pizza on their lunch buffet.
