I visited the Metro PCS store in Beaumont(actually on Sixth Street and not Second) yesterday to cancel a contract. There were four clerks in the store, two eating at the front counter and speaking to one another in Spanish while another customer appeared to be ignored, one moving about the counter area and the fourth whom I chose to have assist me. She was busy marking what looked like contracts with orange highlighter and never made eye contact with me during my entire transaction. Now, granted, I was there to cancel service but she had no way of knowing that when I entered the store. She dialed a telephone number(never asked why I was cancelling or tried to change my mind), and waited on hold for a response. At no point during that phone call did she speak with me. When someone got on the line with her, she gave them the phone number(wrong one first — I had to show her on the Metro PCS paperwork where the correct number appeared), they did their thing and she told me the service had been cancelled. That was it. Absolutely NO level of customer service. No one in the store appeared to be concerned with anything that wasn’t personally related… conversations, lunch, grooming, etc. I certain hope that there was not a manager in that group as the owner of the franchise has a very serious issue if there was one or, worse yet, if the owner was a part of that team. I see no hope for success with that bunch in charge!!!
