Yummy! Great service! I’ve been here twice and both times I was pleasantly surprised! You must try the BBQ crabs… maybe not on a first date because you WILL make a mess… and you have to dig in with all 10 fingers.. delicious! The pistolettes. rich and tasty! The wait staff very attentive and accommodating. Very relaxed laid back ambiance. … The gumbo — not favorite in the area — but would probably do for the untrained gumbo taster! Hehe! Pass up the chains, try this local gem!

What a wonderful treat. We stopped for lunch at the place was not full at all. The BBQ Crab was as good as I remembered from the old platter service at the Sabine Pass location.

Had to wait a long time for dinner in an empty restaurant, when the food finally arrived the crabs were rotten and then fried ! Super strong ammonia smell, no idea how the cook could have not smelled that ! Done with this joint…

Worst experience, I came with my boyfriend and his family, the staff was ok, the menu was expensive so we expected great food. Dissapointment, we ordered all you can eat fish, shrimp, and crab balls, the fish was salty and then the check came 18% for gratuity for 5 people or over. Wow, too expensive they took forever in bringing the shrimp. Never coming back.

Had dinner there tonight. My wife and I had the«All You Can Eat» seafood platter with fried catfish, fried shrimp, crab balls, hush puppies, and fries, along with a tossed salad. The wait staff and management were very courteous, and friendly, and our dinners were served promptly. The wait staff came by frequently to refill our drinks(iced tea and water), and ask us for any platter refills. Our first refill was fried shrimp and crab balls, subsequent refills were just the fried shrimp. The fried shrimp were peeled but tail on, medium size, lightly breaded, and very tasty. The crab balls looked like the hush puppies, but has a softer«crab» interior, with a moderately spicy taste. The fried catfish was good. The price of the«All you can eat» is listed on the menu as «Market Price», and tonight that was $ 18.99. There is also a larger«All you can eat» at a higher price that adds BBQ Crabs(looked very good) and stuffed peppers. The menu was only 1 front and back laminated page, with an adequate variety of seafood and other items. Lunch specials are available, as well as carryout. Beer was available; I don’t know about any hard liquor. A blackboard inside the entrance displayed the daily specials, including some interesting lunch specials. The tables are setup the way the original Sartin’s at Sabine Pass was setup(no longer there), with a roll of paper towels and a bucket for shells on the table. Very no-frills, but very appropriate for the type of food served. Also on the table was a second bucket containing wrapped eating utensils(steel, not plastic), and wrapped straws. Several large tables were available for families and groups. Overall, we were very satisfied with tonight’s dinner.

Its as good as I remembered it when it was out by Parkdale Mall. Great fish and shrimp and the BBQ crabs are the best I have ever ate!

Cannot believe how bad Sartin is now. I remember eating the best BBQ Crabs when i worked there 15 years ago. Worst over-cooked crabs ever. The old signs on the ground and takes up 2 parking spaces. Watch out for the potholes it could cost u a new alignment! My 96 year old grandmother raves about how great the old Satin’s was.

Crabs were way over cooked, fried shrimp was limp and greasy, but coleslaw was decent. Service was marginal at best. Not impressed at all.

The worst dining experience of my life. Inedible food and a rude manager. Never again!

This may be the worst place I ever went to eat. It was highly recommended and we went when we were the only customers. We had BBQ crabs that were terrible. All the food was covered with seasoning so that the fish, the fries, and the shrimp all tasted the same with different texture. Service was random by rookery waitresses who were clue-less. All I can say is, it is not the same place my friends described.

I have been coming here since I was a child. Now that I live in Dallas I NEVER get BBQ crab. So when I come into town this place is a must.

We always get the BBQ Crabs. Always delicious, always perfect. Add cold beer to the mix and you have the perfect SE Texas meal.
