My bride and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch, with two good friends, today. The other three had sandwiches, which were excellent. I opted for the soup of the day, split pea, one of my favorites. It was excellent! The customer service was outstanding. The owners were cordial and visited our table several times. Looking forward to our next visit. Had a great meal last night — purchased another German Chocolate Cake for my birthday — WOW — the best ever!

Bad service, very slow and no one smiles or greets customers. Just stone faces and sweaty behind the counter…

This review is hard for me. Since most of the food I have had is quite good. But each time I go in I am met with a sharp shot of silence. And once you are ready to order you feel like a huge burden. Two very unpleasant woman behind the counter and thusly I haven’t been back in about a years time. They have the food now just need better attitude.

Love it here, love following on Facebook so I see their specials, and the ladies there are great. Great place to bring my German Mutti when we are needing a little German fare!

I love the food and bakery items at this place. However, I really dislike going in there because I always feel like I am the biggest inconvenience to the ladies behind the counter. I have only eaten in the restaurant once. Now, I run in and out as fast as I can. I feel like a dog with my tail between my legs… I wish they would be more happy to see their customers walk through the door.

The first time my wife and I came here was for our anniversary. That was the beginning of many trips that have always satisfied our bellies and our palates. This is a great local business! We look forward to the delicious sandwiches every trip; The soup in the cold weather, and the occasional sweet treat from their bakery. There is a nice variety of meats and cheeses, and not just the normal stuff you’d find at other sandwich joints.

I guess I am not the only one… When I walked in at 10:30AM, I was interrupting the staffs morning break. I understand that with a smaller shop that is needed, but it would be nice to have a sign outside the door saying«Will be back at 11». So I drove around town with my 4 year old son until 11. Came all the way back to give the place a shot… When I walked in and started chatting with the staff, they were less than pleasant. Even though I went out of my way to drive back at a better time to eat, and the place was empty, presence wasn’t appreciated… Any questions I asked were followed by an irritated answer. They have the customer service skills of a prison staff… I write this only to help them and make them aware of how they are perceived… THEGOOD: The food is very authentic, they have all the classic european style sandwiches. They even bake some of the bread on the premises… I got the«Croatian Garbage» sandwich… It was very good… Had a million kinds of meats on it… It was definitely worth a try… The piece of cake I got was also very good, cannot remember what it was called at the moment though… I am giving a 3 star review solely on the foods quality, probably would have gotten a 5 otherwise… PLEASECOMETRYTHISPLACE, should be a lot more popular!

Went in to try out some desserts because of all the good reviews. Total disappointment with the service. The lady was too busy playing with her phone to help me out with anything. I was looking to order something for my friend birthday as a special order but ended up getting only a small piece of cake instead. I tried to engage her in conversation and get some recommendations but met with crisp answer. So I just blindly picked a cake. The cake I got was decent but the selection was very small. The place was decorated nicely. It seems very cozy. It look like a nice place to hang out if you’re willing to overlook the service. P. s. if you want to use the card you need a minimum of $ 5

Family owned and yes it really does have that family warmth and hospitality to it. There three tables that seat four at each and one table that sits two. I had the club sandwich and was so good. They put bread and butter pickles on. No never had them but make the sandwich so delicious. If I had more time I would have bought baked goods. Everything looks so clean and you can tell they take great pride. I highly recommend this place over Subway or Quiznos in town. You can even get a handmade coffee to go here too!

Just passing through we needed a quick breakfast, other then a quick Starbucks break. This was a wonderful, quaint little bakery. Fast service, hot fresh baked bread and pastries, tasty breakfast sandwiches and crapes. Very clean place, very friendly staff, and all-around nice experience. We had the egg and cheese chip ciabatta sandwiches, and couldn’t resist sharing at least one of their pastries.

My husband and I were on the way to work so we thought we would pop in for a quick breakfast. The sign said they opened at 8:00am so we waited. When we walked up at 8:05am their door was locked. An older woman opened the door for us and looked irritated that we had bothered them. The register wasn’t on and their tables were a mess. Two employees saw us and neither acknowledged us. Neither were smiling or happy. We stood awkwardly trying to figure out what to do. The sign said we should order and sit but on the menu indicated breakfast wasn’t served until 9am. We continued to stand there at the register and wait for service but both employees retreated to the back. I was incredibly disappointed as I was hoping with all of the great reviews I could enjoy a delicious crêpe or a pastry. We left empty handed.

I went there for the first time today. People seem nice. They can only keep so much stuff in that small area but I saw items that I would definitely try in the future. I’m not a dessert person but there were tempting hand-made goodies. Today I just picked up a sandwich to go. I believe it was the Black Forest one — I know it was the first one on the menu. Anyway, it was excellent and I will return.

Small little charming bakery and deli with baked goods that will keep you coming back for more! I love their Apple Struedel! Can’t wait to try their Hungarian Goulash on Friday.

Schatzie’s is a quaint, little deli with an atmosphere reminiscent of a European county kitchen. The girls Gert and Natalie make most everything by hand. The recipes are very true to the European standards like Hungarian Goulash and Chicken Paprikash. These have generous portions and are very tasty. The fresh baked goodies they create are also very European. One look at the pastry case(which is directly in front of the door) makes your mouth water and fills your mind with wonderful memories of childhood! After you enter, your nostrils will be greeted by the heavenly scents of the days specials. Keep alert when looking for this place! It may be hard to find, but even harder to forget. Thank you for your delicious delights!

I recently came here for lunch. I’ve had a hard time finding a place in this area that makes a great deli sandwich, but I think I’ve found one. They have a regular menu, but also a blackboard with the daily specials. Since discovering this place, I’ve had three sandwiches there and I have not been disappointed. A sandwich, side, and drink will be less than $ 10. It’s hard to resist getting something from the bakery case though. It’s never been busy when I’ve been in there and usually received my food within 5 mins. I take my orders to-go, but they do have a modest seating area with tables and chairs. This place is so small, it’s easy to miss when you’re driving by. Also, parking is on the street only. I usually end up going up the next side street and walking back.
