I have had Comcast — Xfinity for Internet for over ten years. It has been reasonably reliable over the years but in the past three months that’s not the case. What started as intermittent outages last Fall became dropouts that occurred several times an hour. Calling Comcast to report issues multiple times means you have to navigate their prompts and tell your story to a new tech all over again to get them up to date. We’ve had three service calls. The first call diagnosed the problem as our fairly new modem wasn’t associated with our account. She told me she fixed that. Within several days, the problems returned. I called, and a service tech was sent out. He checked the modem and replaced it. Again, within a few days, the connectivity problem returned. Another tech came out. He checked the lines(why the first guy didn’t check them is beyond me). He repaired a junction on the side of the house. Since then it’s been working much better. The past two weeks, however, service has slowed dramatically and has made using Netflix impossible a times. has shown speeds at about a third of what we’re paying for(Blast). The past few days, I have reset the modem a couple of times and as I started this review, it reset itself. I’m extremely disappointed in the level of service Comcast provides and feel it certainly is not up to what is expected from their«Blast» level of internet speed. I don’t know what I’m paying more for. I am shopping for alternatives.
