There’s rarely any employees in the store when you enter. The last time I was in, the person working was dressed sloppy and seemed to be bothered that I was keeping her from doing something in the back room. She came running from the back and then asked me several times is there anything else? Their store is expensive and in an upscale shopping arena, it might be necessary for the owner to institute a dress code and make sure her employees keep themselves up front and accessible to the public. It’s bad karma to walk by a store and see nobody in it.

really neat place. VERY wide variety of seasonings, vinaigrettes, dipping spices, etc! and they sell small packets of different kinds of rice. bamboo rice? never heard of that before! most products are available for sampling too.
an assortment of body products based in olive oil are also available.
