This store is wonderful. The staff is extremely helpful. We have been a few times now and they always seem so cheerful and happy to answer my questions. So far I have enjoyed the tea’s I have tried in the store and the tea I purchased for home.

Today I purchased the Youthberry and Wild Orange Blossom mix because the tea sample out front was amazing. This is my first time at the store even though I am an avid tea drinker and I was pretty suprised by the prices of these teas. The worker was nice enough to explain the limit(which was two ounces) for each tea and the prices were about $ 6 for one tea and $ 12 dollars for the other tea. Then she wanted me to buy the tube because its supposed to be kept in a dark place which is another $ 6 and the tea bag $ 5. I’m usually a tea bag person but this ended up as a expensive purchase for me. I mean I will be drinking some awesome tea but I’m just shocked by all the extra things you need to enjoy tea. I feel like they should have a starter kit with the price up front so the customers won’t feel so overwhelmed with all the prices.

I’ve stopped in this shop twice, both times enticed by the free tea samples. Unfortunately, it’s hard to try samples without feeling like I have to buy anything. The first time my girlfriend took the bullet by buying a gift for her father. Last night, it was me, by ordering two cups of tea to go. Sidenote: they make tea to order now too, which is a new thing for this location. The tea was good. I got the chilled raspberry limeade which got pretty sweet toward the end. The tea maker put five scoops of German rock sugar in it. The tea maker(aka the guy running the shop) was pretty friendly, explained a few products to us, and showed us how to use the products as he made us our tea. Yes, I do think that the tea is expensive, but I don’t know tea very well, and it tastes good to me. Two drinks cost about 8.5 bones, which is what drinks go for at Starbucks.

Glad to have a Teavana at the Greene. Love the teas. Sorry to see that they had changed my favorite. I’ll still keep trying new flavors !

I bought a glass teapot and some tea over at the Florence Kentucky Teavana. I came here because this is the closest one from my home. I was a little disappointed with the customer service. The guy there was very friendly, and was prompt to answer any questions I had. But I feel like was some type of personal interest in the air. I don’t like salesmen flirting with me. I’ll be back, because I love Teavana’s tea. But I think I’m going to start looking around for other brands as well. I keep hearing that their tea is far too overpriced, and maybe there’s better alternatives. Someone stop me from buying one of their cast iron pots. :(I find them adorable.

Tea is not high quality. They lied and said 2 oz would make 30 cups when in reality it only made 5. They also said my tea leaves can be reusable to make more tea– another bold-faced lie! This is normally true of high-quality tea but not the junk teavana is selling. All of their stuff is overpriced too.

As an avid tea drinker and lover of all things tea, I was thrilled when a tea store opened at the Greene! As I strolled in one afternoon, an associate is helping other customers, and the other associate is simply leaning against the table. I smile, but she doesn’t reciprocate. I overlooked this behavior at first. The following series of events happened… I study the teapots and the sample the teas to make a decision, and I realize that the associate is still eyeing me.(Maybe I’m interesting?) I wasn’t impressed when this same associate tries to sell me herbal tea when she wasn’t successful with the other walk-ins. Most customers who walk-in(not all), are greeted immediately by this associate. I’ve experienced more friendliness from other stores, and I can purchase tea at other places. For a store that specializes in FINE tea, they don’t care what image they project to the public!
