During a recent trip to Ohio, I thought to take advantage of a true eyelash extension professional. Jessica was so helpful and flexible in allowing me to find a schedule that allowed me to both spend time with family and to treat myself. My nails and eyelashes are gorgeous. I am considering flying to Ohio just to get my eyelashes done! Thank you Jessica!

Dayton area friends run, don’t walk, to Jessica’s Totally Polished Spa! I had a spa pedicure and OPI permanent polish manicure today and can’t say one bad thing about my experience. From the second I walked in to her earth-toned, serene corner salon I was treated as a VIP even though I was a first-time client. She was ready for my appointment on time(actually a little early) and invited me in to sit on the oversized recliner chair and make myself comfortable. I thought it was a bit strange because I was wondering where the water tub was for me to soak my feet. She noticed my confusion and explained that she does waterless pedicures for numerous reasons but one main reason is it’s more sanitary than using water tubs… she also uses an actual autoclave on all her metal instruments every evening so if you’re into clean salons look no further! But on to the good stuff… the pedicure was PUREBLISS and the conversation was equally as enjoyable. As she switched from foot to foot she wrapped my feet in hot towels and a warming boot that kept my tootsies warm and softened my feet and cuticles. The foot file she used on the bottoms of my feet was very gentle and didn’t bother me one bit… I usually cringe at this part of the service because it’s painful or tickles to the point I can barely take it. As for the massage… it was out of this world!!! She dimmed the lights, had me recline to chair(which also vibrates and warms — but not in a painful way like a lot of the ones I’ve used in other nail salons) and I’m pretty sure I fell asleep for a few minutes. AWESOME! After the pedi I tried out the new OPI permanent polish. I’m not really a manicure person but thought what the heck. She told me she guarantees her work with this type of polish for two weeks so if anything chips or whatever she’d fix them for free. How about that for customer service?!? OK so wow, this is long but I am just so thrilled to have found Jessica I wanted to make sure to spread the good word. Get your tushes to Totally Polished, people!!! P. S. As I was preparing to pay we had a slight miscommunication where she had written down I scheduled a Spa Pedi though I only scheduled a regular(difference of $ 10). I didn’t really care because WOW the Spa Pedi was insane… but as I was writing this review I actually got a call from Jessica and she apologized right away because she had checked her book and realized it was her mistake that she had given me the more expensive service on accident. She offered to make it up to me by refunding the money or upgrading my next pedi! Seriously, who does that… AWESOME! Can’t wait to see her again… www.vagaro.com/TotallyPolished

I started going to Jessica early last year and have had full eyelash extensions done, gel nails and the OPI permanent nail polish done. Jessica is a sweetheart and she listens. When I felt like my nails needed a break from the gel sets, she encouraged me to try the OPI permanent polish, which I have found I love. I’ve gone between gel nails and the permanent polish several times and she works with me every time I change my mind! I’ve brought my tween daughter in for a manicure and Jessica was gentle with her and attentive. I haven’t tried a pedicure yet, but given the service and attention to detail she has given me over the past almost year and a half, I can’t imagine it would be anything less than top notch!

I like to try new establishments in the beauty business by taking advantage of the Group Ons and Living Social offers. When I saw one for this salon, I purchased the two allowed per the«fine print»(one for myself and one as a gift). I tried to call right after I made the purchase to schedule an appointment but only got a voice message so I decided to try again the next day. This time when the voice message again answered, I left my information and requested a return call to set up an appointment. I stressed that I would like to get in very soon. I left the message at 0940AM. I did not receive a return call until after 10PM that evening!!! Under normal circumstances, I would not book an appointment with a business that was so unprofessional and Jessica was rude when I spoke to her. Because I paid $ 90 for the two Living Social vouchers I purchased, I felt obligated to at least try her services so I made an appointment. I got the OPI gel manicure and the spa pedicure. I was very happy with the comfortable environment(a nice big comfy chair) but a little concerned that she did not give me a foot bath with the pedicure or soak my feet(which will soften the cuticles). She merely wiped my feet with«Wet Ones.» I also sensed a very cold vibe so I did tell her that if I sounded upset when she called me back at 10PM that I was sorry but that I considered it to be unprofessional. She made an attempt to justify why she has to operate this way and even told me that she rarely even stops long enough to take a lunch, much less return phone calls. I dropped the subject but she continued to be very frosty. Once she started working on my cuticles, she was very rough and hurt me, even cutting my skin which now has a scab. I admit that I have tough cuticles but I have never been injured in a nail salon. She did not seem to care when I told her that she hurt me. She curtly told me that if I wanted the cuticle removed it may hurt a little(really??? never has at other places). I will say that when she did the gel manicure, the results were very nice and she did a great job. Once again, she does not soak your hands or do much to soften cuticles. She did advise with gel or shellac polish, you are not suppose to soak the nails. She is the expert so I will take her word for it but it definitely made the process of trimming my cuticles more difficult and uncomfortable. I just could not wait to get out of there but did ask her if I came back would there be an extra charge to remove the gel manicure. She informed me she was NOTTAKINGNEWCLIENTS. She went on to explain to me that the only reason she offered a Living Social deal was to try out a «new» pedicure procedure. I can honestly say if this«new» procedure is suppose to be an improvement then she should probably go back to her«old» procedure. Worst pedicure I have ever received anywhere! I also mentioned to her that I had purchased a «gift» voucher for my Mom but my Mother had decided she did not want to use it and I would probably use it(only because I hate flushing $$ down the drain). She quickly informed me that I could not use it because it was intended as a gift and reiterated that she was not taking new clients. I would not«gift» my dog to get services here. She was a very unfriendly, rude individual who did not seem like someone who cared about building her business and certainly did not care to provide good customer service. Worst salon experience I have ever had in my life. Steer clear…
