Before you purchase hearing aids, compare the prices! I make the mistake of impulse buying and really could have gotten the same thing for thousands of dollars less. Although I had impulse purchased hearing aids at Miracle-Ear just a week prior, I’d scheduled an appointment with Karl at Able Hearing Aids and decided to get another opinion. Karl did a good job of educating me about my hearing loss and pointed out things that I didn’t learn at Miracle-Ear. The most important of which is that I should see an ENT before I actually get hearing aids. It’s possible that my hearing loss might be surgically repairable, negating the necessity of aids! Karls exam was very complete and the test results were similar to that of Miracle-Ear, however his prices are much lower than those at the other spot! My suggestion to anyone who thinks their hearing is going bad do see an ENT before you visit an audiologist who sells hearing aids.
