Best ‘true’ old fashioned burgers and fries. Their buns are specially made for them. Meat quality is perfect. I have come here for years and just plain forgot to Unilocal anout Annies.

Annies is the best burger place around. Trust me, I have tried a lot of burgers in my life and this is by far the best. They are a local family owned business that knows how to make their burgers and fries!

I really loved the burgers here. The fries were hand cut which you don’t really see a lot anymore but the food was great I really liked the coney sauce I wonder what it is but it is great.

My husband grew up in this area, and made this one of our definite stops. I got the little farmer john burger. Really good, but maybe more of a breakfast burger. It wasn’t greasy like other burger joints. Hands down best fries ever. Not too salty, they didn’t taste of deep frying oil. Their shakes and malts aren’t too shabby either.

The wife and I drive by Annie’s all the time and finally decided to stop in with the expectation that the food would be either, the best burger ever, or the worst crap on the planet. Luckily, it was the first. The mushroom swiss burger was, as Guy Fieri says, Money! Fresh mushrooms and liquidy melted swiss made it stand out. The classic double with cheese was damn fine too. This place makes a solid diner style burger and we will be going back to get more. I also picked up a shorty(5″) coney dog. It’s hard to go wrong with a hot dog topped with yellow mustard, fresh white onion, and meaty coney sauce. Eating this made me wish I had been a full on fat kid and ordered the full size coney dog instead! So if this place is so good, why did I only give it 4 out of 5 stars? Well, the fries fell a bit short. We picked up an order of the chili cheese fries, and they left something to be designed. Next time, it will be onion rings for sure. They weren’t bad, just not good. I ate them still. All of them. Now excuse me while I go lay on the couch and die a little, OMGSOFULL.

You’re here because you needed a non-chain burger on TV highway. Good thing they have it! The while thing is diner dive in pre-hipster irony amber. Moral: eat something here before someone discovers it. You can brag that you slid into this bench seat and ate an old school burger or hotdog long before the fixie masses trek out here in homage. You think I’m dreaming. I think you’ve not had The Milkshake.

I enjoy supporting local businesses so I was delighted to walk into Annie’s. I found the dinner service to be supported by a cashier and one short order cook. There was a fair amount of people in the dining room and the atmosphere was homey. I ordered a chocolate shake and hot dog and both were very delicious and tasted homemade. The service took a little while however I understand that because there was only 2 staff. Overall I would recommend this local small business.

The secret to crisp French fries at Annie’s is to request that they be cooked that way. It was easy… all I said is I’d gotten undercooked fries last time-please cook the order longer! en voila! there ya are!!! I also noted that they weren’t salted. A plus in my opinion as so many fast food joints over-salt their fries I ordered a long coney dog, sauce on the, side so I could get it home without losing that wonderful coney sauce to the wax paper. Topped with fresh chopped onions and with a nice thick chocolate malt. For 8 bucks and change it was a tasty dinner. Not as good as Roakes it’s much closer to Beaverton. If you LOVE coney dogs, you HAVE to try Roakes on Columbia Blvd near 33rd. Back to Annies-as has been mentioned, it is a sort of grungy place. They do try. theres a stack of dated doctors office type magazines at the front counter. However the floor is dirty-not just muddy from the recent rain. it really looks like it’s not cleaned nightly after the place closes. For me as a former burger joint waitress, part of closing is Hy-Con-ing the tables and seats, filling the catsup and salt and pepper containers and mopping the floor. I think Annie’s is a family business and it may be that, after working all day, no one wants to clean up at night. Leaves the place looking slightly like an unloved place though. I hope the owners/managers take note of all these comments because the food is pretty good! I’d bet it could get a following if they 1) lengthened the cooking time for every batch of fries AND let them drain longer so they aren’t so greasy and 2) cleaning the place up nightly. As a local, I’m with ya guys. I want a family place to succeed and want to WANT to come back here! Clean ‘er up guys!!!

more like zero stars. The place is in a run down, tiny building with very little parking. Inside, they try to mimic the 1950s, but fail miserably. Tables needing wiping, floors needing sweeping There was also a dead spider on one of the menus. But iI ate here none the less, just to see if the good reviews lived up. Sadly they do not. The burgers here were very bland and had zero flavor The fries were extremely greasy and very soggy to the point of being uneatable. It was like eating a tub of crisco. I still have the slight taste of grease on my lips. The only good thing about the burger was the toasted bun and the crisp lettuce but it did not make up for the rest of the food. To top it off, the guy at the register had a hard time understanding what I wanted, a cheese burger combo that susposto come with fries and a drink. and despite ordering a combo, I did not get my drink. I asked and he said I did not order a combo, and that I would have to pay for my drink. From poor service to very bland and crappy food. I highly suggest you go elsewhere. I won’t be back.

Tried Annie’s after seeing the great Unilocal reviews and was very disappointed. The burgers were okay. The fries were soggy and greasy; I tried one and threw the rest out. The shakes were good but did not make up for the rest of the experience.

The burgers are really good here. However, the fries are often a soggy mess. They are pretty good when properly cooked, but Annie’s often serves them undercooked. This place would rate much, much higher with careful attention to the fries. There are VERY few decent burgers in Hillsboro/Aloha. This place would be tops with some consistency.

Great burgers, lots of fresh cut fries, and nice owners that deserve your business. Old doesn’t mean dirty — they are always cleaning when not cooking or taking orders.

Awesome burger! they grill the buns and season the beef patty with something delicious! I’ve been here three times in the past two weeks and have not tasted disappointing flavors. My favorite is the farmers burger that is huge in diameter and has an egg of all things on it. Very tasty although it doesn’t sound like it. The place is a small hole in the wall with old photos of movie stars on the walls.

I went back recently and I had to bump up my rating. I love the burgers here. I had the chicken burger last time and it was delicious. It was between that or a Little John Burger cause who doesn’t like bacon, a fried egg, and ham on their burger. I do. Fries are always good and I’ve never been disappointed with that. I also like the piles of old magazines on the counter. Sometimes get to browsing and before I know it, my food is ready.

Not the most refined establishment, but if your Jones’n for a Chiliburger(ala L.A. style) this is about as close as yer gunna git here in PDX! I am NOT talking«Hamburgers» here. Go to Dick’s Kitchen for THAT! I am talking chili sauce running to your elbows messy, crazy good… The patty is hand formed, probably chuck, delivered hot enough to singe your lips, and close enough to what you came looking for that you can close your eyes and chew-man-chew… I get pickles added to the usual«Coney Burger» which with the onions, tomato, and mustard works the trick and seals the deal… Add some gunfire out in the parking lot and people trying to steal your stereo and you could feel like you were in L.A. The counter kid was friendly and willing to laugh, so I’ll be Bach…

I like this little place. I had a hotdog from here once, with relish and mustard. I think they were disappointed I skipped the chili and cheese and onions and other offerings, but I’m a purist. I also had a gardenburger with cheese and french fries. The fries were not my favorite but the gardenburger was perfect.(I know, but trust me on this, people can mess them up!) We’ve had milkshakes too, vanilla and chocolate and peanut butter and some other flavors… they have a nice selection. They are good. It’s worth a stop and better than say, one of those big chain places.

This a solid mom and pop’s diner. I was craving a burger and did not feel like the regular fast food pit stops. Having passed by this place numerous times I thought I’d give it a try. The service was on point and extremely friendly. I ordered the cheese burger with chili and a small order of french fries. As I waited for my food, I noticed a steady number of people walking through the door and making their order. Almost everyone were regulars. Just by that observation alone I knew this place was probably legit. I mean it has to be good if people keep on coming back right? Over all burger hit the spot. The patty wasn’ too big but wasn’t small either. The chili was a good topper, no beans just meat. Just the way I like it. For a small order, the fries were a good serving. Skin on and thinly cut, crispy and oily. NOMNOM. I’m a fan of Annie’s and will probably come back and give it another whirl when I’m in the burger mood.
