Went in just to get a flat tire fixed. $ 15 was a bit overpriced, we can get cheaper in downtown Portland. Customer service alright but not overly friendly.

I’m really lucky to have found these guys. The first time I came here, I bought a pair of bike shorts. I had never purchased a pair, and I spent forever trying on different ones, asking a million questions and dithering over which pair to buy. They were so polite and displayed more patience than Buddha with my ignorance and indecisiveness. The second time I came here, I had a flat tire due to unknown causes. They had bikes on all the stands and were clearly very busy yet they dropped what they were doing to give my bike a thorough inspection to solve the problem. They put in a new tube and gave me helpful bike maintenance advice. They didn’t even charge me for labor, just the tube!!! These guys are very friendly, extremely professional, and service oriented. I couldn’t ask for more compassionate or competent service. THANKYOU.

Pat ended up working on my bike, good guy, I felt the entire staff were good, honest, no pressure unlike some other comments. Timing is everything though as I Brought my bike in for an assessment. Within a few minutes, knew what was wrong, gave me some options and left with my bike in fine, working order 20 minutes later. And reasonably priced too. And the smell in the store is pretty cool, took me back to when I was a kid going to our bike shop then looking for parts for my then Mongoose and Z rims, lol…

In the ocean of bike shops around here, this shop isn’t a bad little option. They specialize in my brand of bike and they’ve always done right by it. Service is quick, attitude free and affordable, which is generally all I require. If you are looking for gear, they have a few items here and there, but selection is fairly minimal. Same with bikes, they have a few options, but not a broad selection. They have another shop downtown so I imagine if you need a size they don’t have at this location, it would be fairly easy to obtain it from the other location.

I don’t know what the AC lady below is talking about. The smell of new bike tire is one of my favorite scents! Good service, friendly people. Good group of guys running the show that consistently went the extra mile for folk, whether that be in repairs or just general bike assistance. Will always come back!

I have purchased 9 bikes from this location, with each purchase being a great experience. High end road bikes, to my growing kids bikes, the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and always willing to answer any questions… even the silly ones. They also do a fantastic job of maintaining our bikes, at very reasonable rates. In what I imagine to be a very low margin business, these guys really sell the service and back it up. I’ll also offer, that they are very willing to give back to the surrounding community. Every year they donate to our school auction, and have helped with intern positions for our exchange students. Best bike shop in Portland!

I went in to get an estimate for a bike tune up and possible repair. I was quoted over $ 200, $ 75 for tune up the rest in repairs. I took my bike to Sunset Cycles for a second opinion. Turns out my bike only needed some oil on the chain and new brake pads in the front. Boo to Bike N Hike. They either are idiots or they enjoy ripping people off.

Last week I went to do a return. There was a less toxic smell that day. Perhaps the first day I arrived a new shipment of tires came in. I never put the accessories on the bike and went to return them. When I bought them, I was told I could do returns as long as it was in saleable condition. The bike rack and pouch never was used and still had tags on, yet because there is a 30 day return policy, I could only get store credit. I don’t really look forward to having to browse in that store…
