I saw their ad for 50% off a complete pair of glasses, including frame and lenses. It also included bifocals, transitions and polarized lenses. So I came in to buy a pair of bifocal sunglasses + a pair of regular bifocals. They wanted to verify my prescription with my eye doctor and said they would call me the next day. They hadn’t called by 5:00PM so I called them and again they said they would call me back. This time they called back and quoted price of $ 389 for both pair. I thought that sounded high but they said that’s the price after the 50% discount. That means the«regular» price for both pair would have been $ 778??? Both frames I chose were marked $ 89.95 so they are charging $ 300 for lenses. That doesn’t sound right to me.

I was going on a trip and the tres expensive place where I get my eyes examined needed 2 weeks minimum to get me glasses. So RX in hand I went by the Cedar Hills Mall Binyons Optical. I woulda waited if I coulda. OK-it was a miserable $ 99 for 2 pair of single vision glasses but I felt like I was buying them at a Taco Bell or something. The staff are poorly trained. There were 2 overworked women on a busy(for the economy) saturday at the mall and one of them was on the phone while the other, a new hire, was trying to give opinions on how glasses looked, write sales orders, answer questions, fix glasses and keep kids from wrecking the display all at the same time. Clueless couldn’t talk on the phone and chew gum at the same time. I waited an hour for help. I picked out my 2 pair of glasses myself. I stood at the desk patiently-or not-while another woman told the person who was working off for being the only one working-like she has control over it. It took not one hour or a few hours but several days to get my one-hour-service glasses. If this is an example of the way this company functions regularly, they don’t deserve to be in business. I’ll not go back.
