Worth every penny! Emily is outstanding!
My significant other wanted family photos, I scoffed. I put my trust in in this PROFESSIONAL, never thought I’d be so happy with photos.
Emily had us meet in Lake O, which turned out to be the perfect back drop on a winters day. Amazing lighting, stellar scenery, wonderful direction, from a person who clearly knows how to get the shot we wanted.
When it came time to choose the pictures we would keep, we went into Beavertron, and sat with Carolyn the image consultant. We had a wonderful time, and we never felt pressured to buy. Once we saw the shots I didn’t care about dollars and cents. I knew these pics were important to my family.

After winning a photo package at a charity auction, a friend of mine rallied a group of our college friends together to have some reunion portraits taken with Emily.
To say she was gracious and patient is the understatement of the century — our experience truly could not have been better! There were 7 of us and some folks brought props as inside jokes from college… a challenge for even the most professional of photographers. Emily took everything in stride and helped us have a fun afternoon at her studio.
Her staff were extremely professional and helpful, and her studio is clean, bright and had everything we needed, including changing rooms and a variety of sets.
The experience that afternoon was only overshadowed by the quality of the photos afterward. I can’t recommend Emily’s services highly enough!

We have been coming to Emily Andrews Portrait Design for our family portraits since 2010. She is very professional and passionate about the pictures she captures of the family. We have 2 teenage sons, one who has multiple disabilities and uses a wheelchair. Emily has been able to truly capture our family in a very natural and beautiful way. Even though our son is non verbal he responds to her friendly and fun demeanor! Her studio is top notch and her scenes she creates are one of kind and very current! Her staff is professional and friendly and if there are any problems they are quickly worked out and handled! Quality of portraits are exceptional and polished I love every picture its very hard to choose!

I first learned about Emily after I discovered she was badmouthing other photographers because they charged LESS than her. She went so far as to place HER link on an ad for another photographer. I have looked at both portfolios, and frankly, the photographer that charges ¹⁄₁₀^th as much as her is every bit as good.
If she treats her colleagues this way, I wouldn’t want to know how she treats clients! No thanks.

I want to say up front that the work product is first rate, my only gripe is the way they do business. You can get a photo session for $ 100 – 200 which is very reasonable but they are not up front with the potential charges for prints and digital files. Our family and senior photo shoot ended up costing $ 1,500 and took over two months to get the photos and digital files on disc. I felt their tactics were «high pressure» when I was told we had to put a $ 500 deposit on just taking home thumbnails printed on a regular piece of paper so we could take a few days to decide which prints we wanted. If you have alot of time and money they do a great job on the photography. If you don’t just get information up front before you do the photo session. It was our mistake to not demand more information going into this.

I bought a Living Social coupon for this business. It was a great idea I had to get some wedding pictures done prior to the big day.
We made the appointment and went over to Emily’s studio. We arrived on an overcast day, in June, which is good for photos. We did the entire shoot outside. Right after we finished it started raining. Thank goodness for the timing.
Emily was fun to work with and made the day entertaining as well as productive. She has several facades in the back of her studio to give it a look of several locations. She will also go on location with you if you wish. The beach, etc.
She schedules an hour for the review of the photos. We ended up spending more than I wanted to. Which is our fault not hers. She’s a pretty good sales person so know you limit when you go to review your photos.
She will allow you to make payments over time if you wish she will take your card and charge it at the agreed to rate each month until it’s paid off. No interest, it’s nice but it also can lure you to spend more than your originally planned.
Pictures were excellent. I asked if we could have the CD of our pics and she said she normally doesn’t do that but would throw in a CD for an extra $ 500. Well, I went for it because I wanted control of our images and we also purchased some nice photos for the walls of our home.
I would recommend Emily and her staff as she takes some nice pictures and puts together some good prints.

Emily recently photographed me with my mother, 30 year old brother, and 2 week old son. My brother hates to have his photo done, and my son was upset the entire time (= when not nursing) so I didn’t have much hope for a group photo that turned out… but she got it! Even though our portrait session was short, Emily was accommodating of my son’s needs — it helped that there wasn’t an appointment right after ours — and she made us feel relaxed rather than stressed out. She got my brother finished within minutes — to his relief — and suggested several other combinations of portraits with my mom and I so we had more to choose from.
The studio feels like a high-​end home. We were offered beverages and a comfortable place to wait and change clothing. Emily and her staff were dressed professionally and provided excellent customer service and and friendly atmosphere. We had about 15 final images from our short portrait sitting we got to view a few days later when we were invited back for a viewing/​ordering session.
Her print prices are high, but on par with the level of service and experience. We weren’t given a price menu but she quoted $ 75 for one 5×7″ or smaller print, $ 95 for 8×10″ print, one individual digital file for $ 250, or all of the files for $ 900 (these prices could change any time, but that was what she offered in April 2012 for our type of session). Any prints or files you order get professionally retouched, and the turnaround time is 1 – 2 months to receive the final product.
Based on my experience, I would recommend this photographer to the family who wants a really wonderful big family portrait done quickly and well, and is not afraid to spend $ 500-​$ 1000 for excellent service and a high quality product. She also does really beautiful (but a little more traditional) child portraits that would look great in a traditionally styled home.

While we love her photos, we were even more in awe with her customer service. We had a few questions about our photo shoot and shortly after we received a follow up email directly from her.
We feel extremely fortunate to have found a talented photographer who will forever capture our family’s story.
