Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Be careful when renting a car at this location on a Saturday morning, you are being told that as long as you return the car before 4.00PM the next day (Sunday) you won’t be charged an extra day since they are closed on Sunday’s, Wrong! They more than happily charge you an extra day without even thinking twice!

Got a nice clean car, it was a quick transaction and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

One of the best Enterprise’s I have ever been, In and out in no time. good service guys keep it up!

What stood out for me was the small lot with great cars from which to choose. This is my rental location from now on.

I really like this location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I’ve been upgraded for free before. I also like Enterprise because they «pick you up». They also don’t change their rates if you extend your reservation.
The only reason it’s not a 5 star? They always hold my full deposit hostage AFTER the car has been dropped off, for up to a full 24 hours. This is the only location that I’ve experienced this with. Others will return balance into my account upon drop-​off. It’s just annoying, but it’s good to know in advance so you can budget around the missing $ 250 deposit minus rental cost.

I am completely disappointed by this experience, one sales/​check in employee miscommunicated the cost of the rental and said they would check the cost with the manager… Because they didn’t have many choices for the reserved type of car, so we selected an upgraded car, per the reason for checking the price. My mistake was trusting them to be honest and instead in my opinion took advantage of my elderly father and his final bill was over $ 400 for a weekend rental (plus Monday). That’s a huge difference from the $ 15 a day rental for the original reservation. Then they were very difficult to communicate with when trying to clarify where the mistake was made… Make sure you double check everything before you hand over your form of payment.

Even though this problem occurred at an Enterprise office in Tennessee, I’m also posting it here because this is where we are from. And, it’s really the Enterprise head office that is the culprit. So, it doesn’t matter where you rent your Enterprise car. You’re still likely to be treated similarly. A friend of mine rented a car on a business trip to Tennesee. While he had the car he went to open the back door and the handle came off in his hand. When he returned the car, he gave them the door handle and explained what happened. At first he was told there was no problem. However, their «suits in cubicles» at some office somewhere decided that they needed to bill him for damage. $ 102.10 for the door handle, $ 50 for administrative fees, $ 24.67 for loss of use, $ 10.21 for diminished value. They finally waived the diminished value amount and charged him $ 176.77. This, for a handle that was clearly already defective.
I had a bad experience with Enterprise administration (not the field people) as well. I rented a car in Hawaii. A tire went flat for no apparent reason. When I called the number on the paperwork, it was some office on the mainland. I was told to call someone to fix it and I would have to pay for it. That was the end of it.
I urge everyone to spread the word about Enterprise. They are a dangerous company to do business with.

I don’t remember car rental experiences being so pleasant, but this is one of two Enterprise locations in Beaverton that I have used in the last year. Employees are super prompt and friendly, the check out and check in process is so quick and easy, and they’re pretty good about giving you a ride home quickly if you need one. Highly recommended and their efforts to surpass other rental chains is really evident.

Since my initial review, I’ve rented a car from this location a second time, and more recently, rented a car from a different agency just down the street. I can’t emphasize enough how much I prefer Enterprise. Their customer service is completely superior. I’ve rented twice from the Enterprise in St. Johns as well, and received great service there too. I’ll definitely give Enterprise my business in the future whenever it’s an option.

I guess this review is as much aimed at Enterprise Corporate as it is this particular location, but I found these guys’ rental policies to be very inconvenient. They wouldn’t take my Visa card which doubles as both a Credit and Debit card because they considered it a Debit, and they don’t take Debit cards for reservations (I had never, ever in my life had this problem with making reservations or payments… anywhere) — and they wouldn’t let me make a cash deposit, nor check deposit — and then, to add insult to injury, when I asked if they could at least give me a ride back home 3 miles down the road, since I was now stuck without a car, they suggested I take a bus. The manager was out of town, and the assistant manager was «in meetings» all day, so there was no one other than the clerk (s) to plead my case to. I ended up walking a block up to the Thrifty Car Rental, and their shuttle driver was happy to give me a ride, though.
