It only took Dr. Galloway’s office seven months to «address» my concerns. However, I had hoped for a more reasoned approach. Folks, the best way to get a good review is do your job right the first time and meet(or even exceed) a customer’s expectations. My experience at Dr. Galloway’s office was not a «horror», but it was unprofessional and substandard. I was not treated by the dentist, but the work that was done by the office manager /x-ray tech was amateurish, and her behavior was insensitive. Contrary to a bizarre assertion from the office manger: I consider my previous dentist to be one of the finest in the United States. However, she was simply not able to accept my new health insurance. I did NOT disagree with the doctor’s opinion that new x-rays were necessary because: 1. I never saw the doctor 2. It was the office manager /tech that recommended them. I actually AGREED to have done. I did discuss it beforehand as I was also trying to make an informed decision. Exposure to x-rays are CUMULATIVE and potentially hazardous. Also, I have had my share of x-rays. I mentioned my concerns to her which she callously trivialized. As I stated in my original review: 1. I left because the office was INCONSIDERATEOFMYTIME. I was left sitting in the treatment room for 45 minutes(while previously being locked out of the office with no one answering the phone) and then watching another person come in AFTER me, only to be treated(while I sat like a potted plant). 2. More importantly: I LOSTFAITHINTHEIRCOMPETENCY. The x-ray tech /manager fumbled with the x-ray equipment(which was clearly in disrepair). She appeared inept and ultimately produced shoddy work. While in the office, they had NORESPONSE to my displeasure(which in itself is strange). Some days later, I voiced my concerns to them but to no avail. Wait it gets BETTER! A week or so later, I went to another dentist and gave them my «NEW» x-rays from Galloway. Happily, I was quite satisfied with my new new dentist. However, the new x-rays that I had taken in Dr. Galloway’s office were literally UNUSABLE! They were extremely POORQUALITY, lacked detail and could not be used well by my new dentist. In comparison(while older), the x-rays from my previous dentist were crystal clear. While at Galloway’s, I actually saw my new films on the office manager’s computer, and I even commented on their poor quality. I also mention it in SUBSEQUENTEMAILS to their office. I actually have enough experience to recognize high quality x-rays. Galloway’s office had NOREACTION. In case you’re wondering: IN A FEWDAYS I WILLPOST A COMPARISON of x-rays from my former dentist and Galloway’s office so EVERYONE can see the difference. Galloway’s x-rays were COMPLETELYUNACCEPTABLE. I emailed my insurance company to complain about Galloway’s substandard x-rays. The insurance company recommend that I call the doctor and ask them to resubmit their bill and remove their charges. I would then be able to USE my insurance(as there is a LIMIT to the the number of x-rays that insurance will pay for). However, based on my past negative and unresponsive interaction with their office, I did not think it would be a productive use of my time. I was also upset that I would likely have to be exposed to more unnecessary radiation after I had voiced my initial concerns about cumulative exposure to radiation to Galloway’s x-ray tech. Folks, I do not enjoy writing bad reviews. I know it can be hard to see ourselves objectively, and I realize that it can be very upsetting when a person is criticized for their poor work. However, when I am scheduling my time, and paying my hard earned money to adults, I expect professionalism(especially when it involves my healthcare). The fact that I have been dissatisfied with other businesses has NOTHING to do with this review. It was inappropriate for the office manager to try and discredit my review by conflating my past negative reviews of other businesses(as if I am chronically unhappy). Fortunately, my bad experiences are in the minority, as I am usually satisfied with most of the products and services I purchase. I would respectfully recommend that Dr. Galloway find a NEW office manager that is less DEFENSIVE, more EMPATHETIC, and will handle complaints in a professional and TIMELY manner(rather than ATTACKING their patients and FABRICATING stories). I put in a great deal of effort to find a dentist that would take my insurance and was looking forward to moving ahead with my dental checkup. I write these reviews as a public service so that others can avoid wasting their VALUABLE time and money, and to give voice to those that can’t or won’t express themselves.
