We went in to find shoes for our Mother. She found exactly what she wanted and they fit great! Her long search was over. The customer service was excellent. They took time with her and found the right fit and she can now walk in comfort. They also carry a lot of cute purses!

Have been buying my shoes here for last few years. Recently purchased a pair light new balance hiking boots. After two uses i had a ridge inside shoe that was killing me, pretty sure it was a seam. So went back today dreading having to argue/reasoning and just figured i was going to be out of luck, and get stuck with shoes, since i had used them and they were not newish looking. They were extremely nice, very professional, were willing to take my shoes back(i got another pair of new balance walkers) amazing experience. Service above and beyond what i expected.

What a fun store. We were visiting friends in Portland and came across this shoe store by chance. .great selection of comfortable shoes. .I don’t have wide feet but there were plenty of cute style sandals to choose from. Bought 2 pairs and ordered a third pair in a different color when I. returned to tucson. got it in 2 days! !! Great service. .the salesperson remembered me and know just what shoe I was talking about. .even remembered my size! !Very impressive!

It is a pleasure to discover a shoe store that truly has a very complete selection of men’s wide shoes including both dress and for sports activities. I have issues with my feet, including plantar fasciitis and a high arch, which makes it difficult to buy shoes. The store personnel understood my problems and assisted me in finding and purchasing excellent, comfortable and even stylish dress shoes and tennis shoes. They fitted me with custom orthotics that I can slip into my new and even my old shoes. Even my feet thank Jay’s for their help!

Bummer. I came in for a sandal. They have about two dozen varieties, I’m encouraged. But turns out none are actually WIDE. «They’re not really wide, they’re just European and have Velcro straps.» That’s a direct quite from the salesman. Waste of my time.

If you have feet«issues» this is the place to go… Been to several different foot specialist shoe stores but none have been as helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Just happened by this place while on vacation in Portland and the staff was great. Got inserts custom made, a pair of running shoes and work shoes and have loved all of them. Thanks Jay, whoever you are!

My feet are big. There, I said it. And I’m not ashamed any more. They started out big(poor Princess, don’t tell her but I see her future and it’s here,. at Jay’s wide shoes). Mine got even bigger during pregnancy. This has made finding shoes difficult.Annoying. Frustrating. But, no more frustration. Once or twice a year my husband and I pop in here(his feet, they are sized 10 and are also wide), and we buy ourselves a couple of pairs of shoes. They keep us in their database so we don’t even have to tell them what size we need. The shoe guys are friendly, polite, and efficient. Ok, so the shoes I always fall for(hello Dansko, Wolky… I can’t even spell them right or say them) are expensive. The beauty of buying good shoes is, you buy a couple pairs, you rotate them, and they last a while. Far better than lots of cheap shoes. They do have good sales occasionally and I find adorable shoes that I passed by for not being practical(um, bight green sandals, for example) for less money so I can snap them up. I’m glad they’re around. Shoe problem, solved! I’m going to go put on my cute Mary Janes and head for work now. Happy feet.

I came here with my mom to help her find some shoes for her trip to Europe. She has wide feet and we had some issues in other stores. The guys here treated my mother with respect and helped her with her 1000 questions. She was looking for some walking shoes since she would be walking all over and needed some sandals for dinners and such. They helped her out with the styles she was interested in, ordered the colors she wanted and went out of their way to help her out. We were in there for more than an hour picking out many shoes. If you have wide feet give them a try. they were even engaging and talking with me even though I was not buying anything

My wonderful daughter… her only issue, I think! is that she has such wide feet. If you don’t have wide feet, you don’t realize what a trauma it is to find a pair of shoes that are cute and youthful enough for my teenager. Bingo! Jay’s entered the picture and the issue has become minimized. She is getting ready to go back to school, so we went in to find some shoes for for school. The choices were excellent, both for her and for me! She bought a fall pair of Dansko, tennis shoes and a dressier pair of shoes and I bought some nice walking shoes. They made me a pair of orthodics last year and my pains in my left foot and leg have disappeared! Thanks to the sales people for all their help. We are both grateful!

Hello, Unilocalers. I have a confession to make: I have wide feet. Not just wide feet. Size 11, sometimes size 12(!!!) wide feet. I had a bought of recurring foot pain from something that may have been a Neuroma or a Ganglion cyst for nearly 6 months about a year ago. I picked up a pair of Privo’s at Imelda & Louie’s, but after wearing them every day for a year, I need to retire them. Add in some knee pain and instability from a recent car accident, and I’ve been scouring ever store that carries comfort brands for the right shoes to get me through the day. The dowdy, ugly wide shoe is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Brands like Hush Puppies, Dansko, Clarks, and Sofft are producing shoes that are cute in both casual and dressy styles. Wide shoe shopping will shame me no more! And I can proudly and comfortably walk around in my cute, new Vegan! Dankso sneakers. I kinda feel like a 1998 flashback with the platform soles, but they’re so comfortable I kinda don’t care! I don’t know why I never came here before. I think their commercials keep more people away than bring them in. However, the sales people were very friendly and not pushy into getting me to buy the most expensive shoe in the store. It was no big thing for him to measure my feet to make sure I knew the right Euro shoe size I needed(A 42, not a 43 thankyouverymuch), and when I decided they were the rights shoes, the transaction was quick and painless!

I’ve been struggling with foot pain for about a year. I wore out my 8 month old Brooks sneakers from the Portland Running Company and needed new shoes, so my mom took me to Jay’s Wide Shoes. I had a great experience there today. I told the sales person about my morton’s neuroma, arch and heel pain, and he found just the right shoes for me. New Balance 1123’s — I feel like I could walk forever, and I can’t wait to try them out at the gym. They also have a great selection of dressy wide shoes, I will be back to get a pair later on. In the meantime, I found some beautiful red leather wolky shoes — the salesman said they are all the rage in Europe. I could not be happier with all my new shoes. Seriously, I am beaming.
