Jiffy Lube

My last experience at this location went from bad to worse. I went in for an oil change right before Thanksgiving as we were heading to California for the holiday. It took a hour and 45 mins for a basic oil change. They had all three bays open, but the employees were so slow getting things done. Thankfully my two little kids handled this ridiculously long wait time pretty well. Fast forward to after our trip to CA, it’s raining and the windshield wipers are going. I notice something under the hood up by the windshield wipers. Didn’t notice it before because the wipers were down. I looked and there was a METAL TOOL lodged under the hood. Thankfully it was really lodged. Had it come loose while driving, a number of serious problems could have occurred. I took the tool back and asked to talk to a manager. I handed the tool to the guy (one if the guys who did my oil change), and his response was, «yeah, it could be ours, we have ones like this.». I remarked that thankfully it didn’t cause any damage. He said «sorry about that» and that was it. Long long story short, we will not be going back there. Not only did it take way too long, leaving foreign objects under people’s hoods is not safe.

Went in to have my tires rotated and oil changed. We were told it might take up to 40 minutes to do, but we ended up there for two hours instead. When my boyfriend asked why it was taking so long, the guy in charge of my car looked at the ground and told him that they had trouble getting the keyed lug nuts off. Considering the guy looked at us every other time he spoke, I’m pretty sure he wasn’t being honest. It also took an hour for them to even start on my car, so blaming my car seems silly. At least three others were in and out after we got there, including customers that the Jiffy Lube employees appeared to know. They also only honored the price advertised on the wall (about $ 15 under what they quoted) after we complained. We were told that corporate hadn’t updated their poster yet, but changed the prices.
I’m going back to Oil Can Henry’s next time. This was a ridiculous waste of our time and the customer service was terrible.

Illegal to have a price posted, then be charged a higher price. I asked why it was a higher price then advertised and the tech said «Well we’ve been trying to get coorporate to change it.» And that was it. This, of course, is why they have you PAY AFTER SERVICE.

Service offered is no different from anywhere else doing oil changes. Meaning customer service is what I base my rating on. I just watched their crew allow a women to back out of the line and into a outbuilding. While the structure was fine. No one, including the driver, checked for damage. This is happening while two other employees are giving us different directions and yelling like we can’t hear them. «just tell me where to go and I’ll get there on my own time.» So, the bad driver leaves after a staff member helps her make a 8 point. We pull up and tell them what services we want. Nothing more past this point but are experience had been soured by this point and just wanted to be done with it all.

Never had an oil tech talk me OUT of an oil change before (didn’t need it). That was quite refreshing. Thanks for the honest service, guys.

I have been coming to this location for a year now and I am so pleased with their services that I want to write a review. I have come early in the morning, later in the evening and regardless of the time, they cordially and warmly welcome me to the shop every single time. They make me feel as comfortable as possible in the lobby and they efficiently work on the oil change. I have always been in and out of their shop consistently in less than 30 minutes. They offer other services which you can either take advantage of or you can decline but at no point have they ever forced any additional services sales on me. The efficiency, quality of the work, timeliness, cleanliness, and excellent value is the reason I recommend this location versus any other.

Rushed us through without care. We didn’t get the service we went there to do. They wouldn’t even honor their own coupon. Contacted their corporate and they had someone from the franchise call and apologize. The guy stated he would send us a free oil change voucher the following week. 2 ½ weeks later and nothing. Not reliable, done listen and don’t qualify the customer. Would not recommend or go to again!

Absolutely no complaints about this location.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They lay out everything that you can do and leave it completely up to you if you want to do it or not. They also are willing to combine services for less money or throw things in for free.
For example, today I took my car in for an oil change. The man who helped me looked up our past times there and saw what we’d done, offered it, showed me the prices, told me what I was getting.
They pull out your air filters and physically show them to you, and show you when you last had them replaced (if it was there). I decided I wanted the cabin filter replaced (was insanely dirty) but the engine filter wasn’t necessary. He said he’d throw in the engine filter for free.
I love this place, it’s fast, easy, great service. I’ll go nowhere else.

Currently at this location and I have been waiting for over an hour. No status updates, nothing. The gentleman sitting next to me has been waiting for an hour and a half. This is insane.

On the good side they’re cheap and quick.
On the bad side the people who work here are scoundrels and will try to cheat you or get you to pay for services you do not need. You must stay on top of them!
They claim that their computer systems (between locations,) are not tied in together and will try to get you redo services that you did at another location.
They do not follow your car manufacturers suggestions for oil changes. Most new cars are in the 5000 – 8000 mile range between changes, they still insist on 3000.
If their computer does not show that they personally have done a transmission flush, they will pull the trick of dipping the transmission stick into the oil to get it «black,» then claim that since it’s black it needs to be replaced. This is true, but when I changed my transmission fluid myself 15k miles ago, it doesn’t need to be done. They have tried this trick on me at least four times.
The one time I did let them go ahead and replace my transmission fluid, they forgot to put the stopper back in. Caused $ 6000 in damage that they would not reimburse. Take your transmission needs somewhere else and have it done properly as they don’t have the correct equipment to do it right anyways.
They will gladly replace air filters, watch out though as their filters have anywhere from 200% to 500% markups. Much of the time when they do «replace» them all they do is wash them out, yet still charge you for a new one. This is extremely easy to replace yourself, and 90% of the time the guys at the auto parts store will gladly show you how to do it. You can also wash it out yourself.
Do let them replace tail lights, head lights, and license plate lights. Their prices for the bulbs are a bit high, but the labor and time involved is not worth doing it yourself. Plus getting to the lights in the first place can be an exercise in frustration. BUT, make sure that the light is actually out! They like to lie to you that they’re out, when they’re not.
The customer service itself is quite excellent, almost to the point of being really annoying. This is despite all the upsells and tricks they pull. If you have doubts about something needing to be replaced or service done, get a second opinion from someone else.
