Motel 6 Beaverton

I called in advance to make a reservation and booked with a credit card. When I arrived at the office to check in, there was a sign at the desk that read «Be back in a moment.» So I waited, for almost 15 minutes!
During my wait I called the hotel number hoping to reach someone, but nobody answered. Finally when the receptionist returned she gave us an attitude saying she was only gone «just a few minutes,» and that she «saw us come into the property a few minutes ago.» OMG lady if you saw me arrive, then why did you leave the office for so long?! She said she was conversing with the management during that time. Wow, if the management allows that kind of horrible service, I have no interest staying at a place like this. Nobody in their right mind would.
After reading the other reviews to this place, maybe this experience was a blessing in disguise.

I agree with the bad reviews. Although our room was an updated one, there was an issue with the door key and then the deadbolt didn’t work. People walking by chitter chattering and the traffic noise; not a good nights sleep for me!

We stayed here cause it was the cheapest in the area and also took our three cats where other places didn’t take them. Many problems with this place though, first of all its not that cheap at $ 75 a night and it is absolutely filthy, bed is lopsided, tweakers everywhere, very noisy at all hours, and roaches. The cops also are always there as it seems infested with drugs hence the tweakers. It should be renamed Motel TWEAKER not Motel 6. If you can avoid it don’t stay here, although a plus is its right near tons of stores, restaurants and more.

The staff was nice. But this isn’t a sleeping motel. It’s the motel where the Mafia tortures people. It’s the motel you bring hookers to. The whole room reeked of feces. Our bathroom door didn’t close. So many floor tiles were broken or missing, it literally looked like a bomb went off in there. The faucet wasn’t fully attached to the sink. The soap was broken inside the package. Traces of the last guy’s shaved stubble were still stuck to the sink. And yes, there were bloodstains, because of course there were.

If this wasn’t such a convenient location, it would surely close down. I usually stay at Motel 6 because of their pet policy.
This location is literally right next door to the transit center. You will be hearing train and bus noise.
It is in desperate need of renovation. It looks outdated and tired. It was unusually warm, so turning on the air was needed. Well, the unit didn’t function properly. The temperature knob was stripped and only allowed one stream of cool air, not cold.
I only stayed a second night because I was so tired. This is one of the nastiest Motel 6 I’ve ever been to. I’ve traveled from coast to coast, guest beware.

The room was disgusting! It was dank, smelled moldy and there were BUGS. I went to check out and get a refund and the staff was completely rude and for some reason they couldn’t reach their manager. The receptionist thought it was «funny» that I wanted to check out. It was completely unprofessional and upsetting. Eventually I was able to get a refund and leave but it was took ridiculously long. I’d rate negative stars if possible.

UGH. Stopped here ONLY because I was tired and couldn’t find any other hotel in the area at the time.
Husband got key to upstairs bedroom. On the way to the room, three frat boys informed us there was a party in their room that night. Whopee. Fortunately, we wouldn’t have had to far to walk as it was located three doors down. Goody. The people next to our room felt, I don’t know, stuffy in their room — so they had the door propped wide open. Wife was in bed, I had time to note on passing by. Is this typical of Oregon, I wondered???
Front desk told husband that he would need to «jiggle the key in the lock. Everyone comes back thinking it is broken, but you just need to jiggle it.» Okay. A test.
After «jiggling» both sides and upside down — after five minutes of still being unable to occupy the room, (I also had time to notate another couple 5 rooms down doing the same «jiggle dance» in trying to open the door), we decided this must be a sign to take our business elsewhere.
Lucky for us, a few more blocks down was a Comfort Inn. Much, much nicer and no jiggling required.

Slightly rude staff at counter, moldy room, stuffy… and we got stuck right above the office. Horrible.
