Came in about 15 min to closing, waiting in line(there was about 4 people ahead of me) got up to order and the woman taking my order was super rude. Said its closing time so they don’t have allot of stuff, I asked about garlic chicken and she said that there was orders ahead of me and I would have to wait 25 min. Worst customer service ever!

I love this place just as much as the other locations. I had katsu loco and it was perfectly cooked with some of the best gravy ever. Mix your mac salad with egg yoke and gravy for a little island treat. My wife is local from the Big Island, and this is our go to spot when she needs a taste of home.

I love the Roxy. If you are looking for a good Hawaiian plate lunch this is the place to get it. The staff is always friendly and the food comes out relatively fast. All in all a great place for fast meal.

I’ve had a few different things here and they’ve all been pretty tasty. Quick friendly service. The first time I went they let me try a few different things before I ordered.

Love this place! I usually go to the one on Walker but since I moved further into Hillsboro I finally got to try the TV highway location. The food is just as great and the staff as friendly as ever. The place is really clean and pleasant inside. Right when I walked into the door the smell was just mouthwatering! I love their teriyaki chicken and Kalua Pork. The macaroni salad is the real reason I go though, I can’t get enough of the stuff!!! If you want good food and generous portions, definitely stop here! They’re usually pretty busy but trust me, It’s worth it!

This place is easy to miss, make sure you are looking carefully for it. We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Katsu, and Garlic Chicken. The Teriyaki Chicken had a nice charbroil, but absolutely no sauce. That made it incredibly difficult to eat. The Katsu chicken was good, but the shining star was the Garlic Chicken. Oh and you can’t forget about the Macaroni Salad, that stuff is to die for. If you are in a semi-hurry this is a good place to go to have some Hawaiian food, but doesn’t compare to NoHo’s.

Same good olé Roxy’s food, different location. Since moving out of the ‘burbs, I haven’t had a chance to eat Roxy’s in ages, which is probably good for my waistline but still sad. But I happened to be near this one and jumped at the chance to go. As others pointed out, it’s bigger and more polished than the original so that’s a bit weird to me.(Isn’t it also weird that is weird to me? I got so used to the tiny, loud cramped one). Anyways. It was a slow evening to ordering was super quick, as was getting my food. I always go with the Shoyu chicken plate and was happy it’s just as good as always. Plus that macaroni salad! YUM. Prices haven’t changed since last I was here(over a year at least) so that was nice that it’s still easy on the wallet as well. Maybe sometime I’ll try something other than shoyu but… …probably not.

We’ve tried this newer location three times now, and my opinion remains the same. The chicken is always cold, the noodles WAY too salty, and the time to get the food way too long(especially if they aren’t heating my food all the way through). I want to love this place because my husband and son prefer it over the other nearby Hawaiian place, but I won’t go back for awhile to see if they either close or get their act together. We’ll see.

Friendly staff, decent food, and very convenient for us. They take awhile, but that’s ok because they make your order when you order. They also have a sign that states that they aren’t fast food and your order might take longer than usual. That’s ok though, it’s a good time to catch up on Facebook while you wait. Hugest complaint is: lack of cleanliness. Lobby is always dirty and unkept.

I’ve always been a Roxy’s fan. We decided to try this new location because it is technically closer to our home than the Walker location. Since it is newer, the restaurant was really nice/clean compared to the original location. The workers were very nice, and the food tasted great as usual. It is a bit out of the way for people coming from Portland, but if you live in the Forest Grove/Hillsboro area you might as well come to this location instead of driving to Walker. #1 choice = GARLICCHICKEN!

I went to this location after visiting multiple other locations. Unfortunately the utter deliciousness does not translate to this spot. I ordered two different types of chicken, two scoops of rice and a scoop of Mac salad. The only taste difference between the two chicken dishes was sesame seeds and the normal teriyaki chicken was completely charred black on some pieces. Neither had any sort of seasoning or flavor. Quite simply they tasted like bland grilled chicken. The chicken was pretty much cold, which was a shock as it had come out of the kitchen 30 seconds prior. The rice and Mac salad were decent, but their teriyaki sauce looked like a plain mixture of water and oil with a drop of food coloring, and tasted as such. It really disappoints me to write a negative review as I’ve been going to the other locations for years. Please step your game up TV Highway Roxy’s, as places don’t tend to last long in that building.

This location is so disappointing! I was so excited to have a Roxys close to my house but wind up disappointed every time. The last 2 times we were told they are out of noodles! How does that happen at 4 in the afternoon! Then it took 20 minutes to get Mac salad. Walker road location is way better! I hope this location gets it together soon.

I have a love-hate relationship that they opened a Roxy’s so close to me! I love that it’s so close, but, it’s so close and easy to get delicious Hawaiian food! Who am I kidding… I just have a love relationship with it! Roxy’s is delicious, laid back, chill Hawaiian food that I would eat every day if that were socially acceptable. I’ve tried the kalbi chicken, shoyu chicken, and kalua pork and all have been wonderful. Be aware though that it’s not fast food and it gets super busy at times. You’ll probably have to wait if there’s any sort of line. That’s okay, Roxy’s… You’re worth waiting for!

Ate here today while on vacation and it’s amazingly good! I ordered the garlic chicken with Mac salad and fried noodles and it’s so delicious! For my daughter, I got the saimin and it’s the best saimin I’ve had on the mainland. I have 3 more days left of my vacation and I’ll be back every single day of it.

Being born and raised in Hawaii, I often crave home cooked meals that I don’t have to cook. Roxys delivers. The mac salad is good, meats are usually on point,(The Teri beef I got last time was pretty fatty, but the shoyu chicken is always on point) and the occasionally have guava cakes or some other yummy sweet treat. It’s not fast food, so don’t come here expecting to get in and out(welcome to island time). The atmosphere and music make me feel at home and I recommend this place to anyone interested in enjoying some real Hawaiian food.

Thank you for opening within a reasonable walk from my house! When I noticed this place, it was opening week and there was a line nearly out the door. There has been a line every time I walk by and why not? The food is delicious. The portions are enough to eat some now and save some for later. I am a fan of kahlua pork. The shouyu chicken and chicken katsu is really good too. I just love the combination of rice, kahlua pork, and macaroni salad going into my belly. It is one of those foods that I can eat a lot of even when I’m stuffed and can’t eat anymore. They don’t let you order ahead and considering how long you wait in line, I wished people would know what to order when they get to the head of the line. Seriously, people… don’t be holding up the line like that. It’s inconsiderate and no one wants to be «that» person.

I’m a lover and supporter of Roxy’s. Been going for years, started out like 6 years ago at the Tualatin location. What can I say, the environment is different at the Aloha location(I live close by so I figured I’d give it a shot. The place is 3x the size of the Walker location. Same yummy good smells, not the people I’m use to with the upbeat loud vibes that really give Roxy’s that personal experience. This location is 2−3x slower then the Walker location. Get some more cooks guys!!! Do it! It’ll speed everything up! It took about 30 mins before I said wtf is going on. I came up to the counter and asked if they forgot about my order. The girl was apologetic and said they’re still working on getting things in rhythm, so eh, I get it. Hopefully things will eventually change up! Took about 36 minutes to finally get our food. I have been eating here since I moved to Portland. There’s no food as yummy or authentic in my opinion. I’ve tried everything here probably 10 – 15 times in the last few years. I highly suggest the garlic chicken and when they have them, the khalbi ribs are off the F*****N chain!!!.

Went here on a Saturday around 1pm to order lunch to go for the family after running errands all morning. Kids and hubby were in car since baby was napping. We could see it was busy inside when we pulled into the parking spot, but no one had food, they were all customers waiting for their orders. I was 3rd in line, line went quick, everyone knew what they wanted. The lady in front of me was told they were out of Kalua pork, so she was disappointed but found something else. I ordered teriyaki chicken and orange chicken. I was thinking about 15 mins or 20 mins max but it was about 40 mins later I got my order. This was after I went up to the register and checked to see if they had it ready, was told sorry it’ll be a few more mins, and then after 15 more mins, and an apologetic cashier, I received my 2 to go plates. I get they get busy and it’s a new establishment, but looks like they might need more cooks. They were working hard but everyone seemed to be waiting for a very long time. Even after I left, I saw a couple with a toddler who was in front of me still waiting. These weren’t even special orders that were customized. Just their basic platters. Anyway this is not a quick lunch place. Food was good, teriyaki chicken was good but I wish they would use lean breast meat. I hate the fatty parts and tendons that come in your mouth when you’re chewing. Although maybe that adds to flavor and some people might not mind. I’m not a fan. But I liked the charcoal flavor of the teriyaki. The orange chicken was very chewy almost like it was way over cooked and sitting under a heat lamp and it was bland not very flavorful. Very oily too since my whole rice was orange. Maybe I’ll go for the garlic or pineapple chicken next time. Décor very simple with a large seating area. Toilets clean and the whole restaurant was clean. No music or sound, just pictures of nature on the TV and chatter of the people waiting. Staff was very friendly and looked like they were working hard. 5 star for the staff. Anyway, over all worth checking out, glad they are close to my house. Better than all the fast food options TV hwy strip has to offer, but it’s probably not much healthier. I wouldn’t go here often but it’s nice if you’re craving teriyaki chicken and macaroni.

I’m a regular(and die-hard fan) of the original Roxy’s on Walker, as I used to work across the street. I don’t anymore, so I rarely get to indulge in Roxy’s goodness. I about lost my mind when I heard there was one opening up closer to my house, and couldn’t wait to check it out. It doesn’t feel quite the same, but that’s probably a plus for some folks. It’s a larger, more polished space. It felt weird expecting my beloved cramped, loud, old Roxy’s to happen in this space. But — same music, same amazing smells from the parking lot. It took a bit to order, but it wasn’t the fault of the staff. The friendly cashier offered me a sample of their Saturday special(which I wasn’t familiar with). I ended up with half of that and half teriyaki chicken — my absolute fave — with two scoops of mac and one rice. It typically comes with two rice, one mac, but it’s worth the $.50 to substitute more«crackaroni» salad. It’s my standard. I had my food and was out the door in about 2 minutes. It was the same great Roxy’s that I was hoping it would be. I’ll be back… regularly!

Thank GOD they now have Roxy’s out in this neck a’ the woods! Woot! wooooot! As mini chains go, I’d be hard pressed to be more jazzed about a replacement for the supremely moribund Duke’s BBQ Pit. Roxy’s I love you for so many reasons– mostly how you cater so readily to all my worst glutton boy instincts— piles of succulent marinaded meats heaped up high… oh my goodness Christmas came a little early this year… What better locale for Aloha spirt and grinds and lovin’, than Aloha OR? Another New Year’s Resolution, shot straight to Hades — – but failure rarely tasted so good. Mahalo braddahs!

We were very excited to try Roxy’s. We waited in line for 15 minutes. The staff was rude to many of the customers. When it was our turn to order we had questions because we’d never been there and the menu was a little confusing but the cashier was very impatient, unhelpful and shaming. We left without eating and will stick with the Hawaiian BBQ down the street by Fred Meyer.

Been to their other locations and am a long time fan. Love that they opened a location closer to my house. Service is slow, but I get it. they’re a new location and have some kinks to work out. I ordered the Saimin, which is probably the deciding factor when choosing this meal. Upon ordering, the cashier asked the kitchen if they could make it. and they muttered something. So the cashier says no. Confused. I ask her to clarify what that means. She said they can’t make it because the kitchen says it’s too busy. Maybe I don’t know what’s all involved with making Saimin. but I’m pretty sure that the delivery of this information could have been better communicated. I suggest that they place a disclaimer under items that can’t be ordered due to kitchen volume. My second suggestion is that you work on your customer service skills. Try pretending that you chose to work there and serving people is a part of the job.

We eat at roxys, probably once a week. Usually the cedar hills location. So we were very happy to see a new location closer to home. Went in today(Sunday) just before 1:00. It wasn’t too crowded, so I didn’t think the wait would be long. Man, was I wrong. 45 minutes later I finally had my food. It’s the longest I’ve ever waited for takeout in my life. Food is good — but not 45 minutes good. Like another reviewer said, it’s new and there are things they need to work out and improve. My only advice is don’t go if you’re in a hurry!

Love Roxy’s! Their shoyu and kalbi chicken are my fave, and they’re one of the only places in the area that has good mac salad. If you’re in the West Beaverton/Aloha area, it’s the place to go for good island food!

Definitely a staple of Hawaiian Food in the PNW, especially in Beaverton. They do not fall behind their predecessors of locations and their service and food is still top notch! They did just recently open, so of course kinks need to be worked out. And they’re a bit of under construction. However, the benefit of this location compared to the rest is the ample seating. Recommend their sweet garlic chicken here and at their other locations. And definitely make sure to always, always get the mac. Do expect some time on your order when it’s a bit more customized and cooked to order like the — sweet garlic chicken and if adding veggies(based on experience from elsewhere). Welcome to the west side of Beaverton, Roxy’s! We’re glad to see you closer to home.

The fourth, and potentially(note — not *currently*) greatest iteration of Roxy’s Island Grill is now open! It occupies the place most recently occupied by Duke’s BBQ Pit(R.I.P.) and Hollywood Video/Game Crazy prior to that. It’s right next to Blue Moon Diner and across TV Highway from Intel. They really didn’t have to do much to Duke’s layout to transform it into a Roxy’s, other than adding a «hot line» for the typical Roxy’s favorites like sho-yu chicken, kalbi, etc. The ordering and seating situation will be familiar to Roxy’s veterans. The space is comfortable and the few subtle changes they have made are better suited to Roxy’s. Duke’s never really seemed«right». I had a standard sho-yu plate meal tonight, with the mac on the side. Same great taste as the other locations. I was hitting Roxy’s on the regular a few years back, and perhaps OD’d on plate style lunches, as they haven’t been terribly appealing for several months. Roxy’s does it right though, every time. They have kinks to work out(hence the potential noted above). They’re slow. New staff, new location; they’ll get a pass from me on the bugs tonight. Once their flow is established I’m sure they won’t end up vacating the space as previous tenants have done. They still don’t have a dedicated web presence, other than Facebook. They ought to consider that! Happy to welcome them to the neighborhood.
