I have lived in Portland for 18 months. I hadn’t found much in the way of Mexican food. This market makes it! I don’t need to look for restaurants, or taco trucks. This market is SUPER. Their pre marinated chicken, steak picado, and al pastor are perfect. Done in minutes. Their produce is beautiful, and well priced. GREAT pork tamales! Pico, nopales, and escabeche, are really good. Blue corn, and white corn tortillas that are fresh made. Montejo Cerveza for those who like a light well carbonated taco backer at a very reasonable price. They also serve tacos and other delights in a spacious food area… Five stars doesn’t even begin to rate this place! I’ve got to try Mike’s suggestion and try their guacamole. I fully confer Mike. You just have to try the place too see what we mean… OH! And did I mention their cheeses and their chorizo sausages?

This place has the best guacamole made fresh everyday ! Today I got to yes GOT TO wait for a fresh batch I really don’t mind because its that frikin good.
Love this little market. They have everything you can imagine you could need for an authentic market. Fresh meat from the meat market is perfect from Beef to Pork to Chicken to Fish they have it all including the Chicken feet and Tripe if you are into that. They also have marinated meats for fajitas and ground beef large style for tacos. Did I mention the fresh Crema OMG.
Produce has everything from Corn (Mesa) to all kinds of spices and chilis to avacado and cilantro.
An for the best of the best they have warm fresh tortillas in a large ice chest up front by the checkout that are to die for.
Check this place out it Rocks!
