Really good coffee, friendly service, comfortable atmosphere. I can tell, this is going to become a habit for me.

Finally a cute, hip, Stumptown coffee shop on the West Side! This is a gem of a place! I was there on a Monday morning and there weren’t a lot of people. I hope the word gets out on this place so that it thrives!

If you are looking for a quiet space on the Westside to enjoy a perfect cup of Stumptown Coffee and get some work done, Solace and Fine Coffee is just the place. Nestled in the heart of downtown Beaverton, right across from the Police station, Solace is a diamond in the rough. The current owners have been in the place for 5 months and are working slowly but surely to transform a huge space into a comfortable oasis. Although it’s not quite off the beaten path, you have to know its there and intend to visit. Additionally, the space is huge! You will never feel crowded, but that makes it difficult to make the space feel homey as well. Paul, the barista, said they try to a little every day to improve the space. They are off to a good start and I’m sure they will have no problem slowly transforming the space. Every Friday, Solace has an open mic night, featuring local artists and original work. If you’re looking for a cheap and entertaining destination, Solace and Fine Espresso may be the place for your next date. I give Solace and Fine five stars for having a solid foundation to potentially create one of coolest coffee houses in downtown Beaverton. #coffee #stumptown #beaverton #portland #oregon #review #espresso

I was pretty happy with my study sesh last week! Adequate lighting and a couple choices for free wifi. I ordered the lavender lemonade before settling into some papers, and I was so delighted by the light and sweet aroma of my drink. Served in a mason jar, my lemonade was the perfect complement to the eclectic artwork displayed around me. My only complaint is that there is only one restroom for the entire shop. Some oddball teenager decided to take a number 2 the day I was there, so I wasn’t very pleased about waiting 20 minutes for the bathroom :(

The owner is super sweet! I tried the ice tea and it was the best ice tea I’ve ever had. The décor is adorable, the coolest couches I’ve seen so far and it is nice and quiet for studying or perfect for meeting friends to catch up.

I wish I could give this place 4.99999999 stars. Why not 5? I give no perfect scores to anyone, because there’s always room for improvement. But it’s easy to want to just spend all day here. The proprietor and all her cohorts are so friendly and they serve up yummy drinks. They offer yummy locally made pastries and I hear the sandwiches are really good too. When the time comes when they are able to increase the number of cushy chairs, I will find my favorite seat and park there the greater portion of my days.

Its awesome! As for the décor. they are still working on getting it opened and obvs furniture will come as money goes rolling in but they are doing the most amazing they can with the little they have.

The space is underutilized. When i read about a few reviews about the décor i was a little confused but upon visiting I totally understood. Its underwhelming. There is tons of space but its been filled with tacky plastic tables with wood print. There are entire spaces that can be utilized better. In addition its very dark in there. There is little natural lighting and the indoor lighting is very dim. I had a odd sense as if it was right between a coffee shop and a dive bar. The coffee was fine, but the atmosphere left me wanting more. The few hours i was there only a few customers came in and none stayed. The space felt very cold, dark, and empty

The barista was super friendly and helpful. Lots of open space and good seating. I liked the 90’s/2000’s music mix and abundance of outlets. There was also a collection of paintings on display that patrons can buy. Very good and very reasonably priced. Overall I would recommend this business.

Great place! Great coffee. Super sweet owner. Knowledgeable barista. Want great coffee? Go here. Yes they serve Stumptown, but you can have great coffee and an inept barista and find that you’ve just wasted $ 5 on what you hoped would be the perfect latte. Not so here. This was just as good as one of my other favorites in John’s Landing. Pastries seemed to be a little lacking, but hey, they only opened a month ago. Give them some time. Also a perfect spot for any sort of meeting or gathering. Open mic on Friday nights when they’re open until 10:00.

The new owners are great and the vibe is so much better now! Its true that the décor hasnt changed much but the shop was only open a few months before it changed hands so everything is still brand new. I bet they’ll put their own touches in there gradually. The new manager can make a serious latte too! His latte art and milk texture is glorious. He also has the Stumptown espresso tasting sweet and lovely. They have Nitro cold brew on draft too, so… thats awesome. Did I hear something about an open mic night? That could get interesting… ;) Nice work dudes! Way to actually be a cool coffee shop in Beaverton!

This space looks almost exactly the same as when it opened around November 2015, but someone else bought the shop, its name, etc. around January 19th, 2016. The coffee and staff beforehand were great. I’ve only looked at the«new» shop, but I haven’t actually tried any of their coffee drinks. I’m sure it’s fine, as it’s still Stumptown Coffee, but otherwise I have no idea. I don’t know how I feel about someone buying a coffee shop and continuing as if it was the same creative team as the original Solace. None of the original staff or creative team are part of this«Solace,» but it’s misleading because they are continuing with the original logo, designed space, and color scheme. Confusing! They don’t have the same drink recipes anymore, so…): Wish this wasn’t the case, I liked their fun drinks which are now gone. For previous/current customers of Solace & Fine Espresso, this is a head’s up.

They have Stumptown!!! Yessss! Great coffee, the barista that made my coffee really knew what he was doing. Perfectly balanced and perfect temperature. I love that it’s local and the space is very inviting and quite large. Will definitely be my new favorite spot.
