Had a terrible experience. First she was late, then she dyed my hair orange (and talked to her friend about how she was going to become a realtor the entire time I was getting my hair cut and colored), then, although she was running late and her next appointment was sitting there waiting, she worked her friend in between appointments. It was crazy.

I went here this last winter. Shayna was over a half hour late –she claimed because of traffic. This was my first visit there… While I waited Jenna (the other girl that works there with her) made a comment to me how Shayna is often late and she personally is not like that. She apologized and tried to contact Shayna several times. When Shayna showed up, Jenna left and then Shayna asked me if Jenna was rude to me while I waited… I said no and she replied «oh, well she can be rude.» I felt awkward. They both talked bad about each other when one was out of the studio. It was so unprofessional. My hair cut was nothing to rave about… I left knowing I’d never step foot in there again. These two need to learn professionalism.

I moved to Oregon 11 months ago and finally found the salon I loved enough to get my hair cut here every time I need one. Jenna fixed the color in my hair (which I accidentally ruined with box dye) and gave me an amazing cut. My boyfriend even loved the cut she gave him and he’s very picky ;) We chatted for about 3 hours while we were there and had a really great time in the salon with Jenna. I would recommend her to anyone because she is a great stylist and a really sweet person!

As most of us girls know, it is very difficult to change hair stylists when someone has been doing it forever and knows what we like, but there are times when life changes and we are in need of a new stylist. Shayna is absolutely amazing at her craft and is passionate about what she does. Her vision for color and style is valuable and is able to listen to what we sometimes are not able to convey what we want. She also uses thinning shears, which I LOVE and makes that sleek, straight, sexy look to desire. She is very reasonably priced and is willing to accommodate schedules. Not only is she a stylist, but she is also an amazing make-​up artist who is by my side during my fitness competitions, making sure I am stage make-​up and hair ready. She is often seen in the background of fitness shows, fashion shows, pageants, weddings, and even loves giving you a fresh look for your Birthday outing!

Over the past few years i have been bouncing from salon to salon but was repeatedly unhappy.
After hearing wonderful feedback from my family I got the phone number for Shayna at soul scissor and made an appointment. She was able to fit me into her schedule without a problem.
When i got there i loved how private the salon space was, it was very quiet and inviting.
I drive an hr just to get there and it is WELL WORTH the drive!
I really recommend this place to everyone! it’s just nice finding someone who actually knows what they are doing and i will definitely continue my hr drive for fantastic haircuts and color!

When I first moved to the area I bounced around from salon to salon every few months when my roots were getting a bit, umm, frumpy looking (that’s when your true colors start to show. literally!) I would always call around and go with the most affordable, tell them what I wanted, and end up leaving with a half decent head of hair. FINALLY I came across Jenna and I’m so so so glad I did. To start off, she needed to know what had previously been done to my hair. I couldn’t help but laugh and say, ‘Umm, which time?!’ A stylist had never asked me that before but I learned it was important for her to know what she was working with.
I’ve been going to Jenna now for a few years. I have never been disappointed with the end result. She has fantastic judgment on what will look good, and what will end up looking cheap. The salon is very clean, great lighting, and an overall pleasant place to be. Jenna has such a great personality and an impeccable taste for style.
Whether you see Jenna or Shayna for your cut, color, style, ect. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed. If I could give them 10 stars I would :)

5 Star review! I had not had a hair cut since October 2010 as I have been a wee bit short of money, and was trying to grow my hair out. I was referred to Jenna by a co-​worker of mine and he told me she was opening up her own shop. I was going to bite the bullet and go to either Perfect Look or Great Clips for a trim, but decided to wait the extra week or so until Soul Scissors opened. Yay for me, because the results were AMAZING! I walked in and was greeted very enthusiastically by Jenna. She sat me down and looked at my hair and discussed what I wanted done. She was very perceptive and looked at the photos I brought in… I wanted a little more than a trim… but not too drastic. She asked about my stying habits and we came up with a cut that would work. Once the cut was decided on, I received an amazing shampoo (with a bit of a scalp massage), then she got to work. I have pretty thick hair, and most stylists don’t work with that, but Jenna actually thinned it out for me!!! Once the cut was done, she blow dried my hair, did a few extra snips here and there, and then straightened it. I ended up walking out with the feeling that I not only had a new stylist, but a friend as well.
