I have been to this establishment many, many times. The selection of glass pieces and smoking related items is extensive, and prices are mostly reasonable. Until today, The Hot Box has been my favorite store to buy vaping products, mainly because of the friendly employees and cheaper than average prices on many of the products I buy. A few days ago, I went in and purchased two items, which both turned out to be defective. I called the store, and was told to come in and they would help me out. I went in, and was told by the same employee that sold me the products that he would not replace them for me even though they were obviously defective. He said that the management would not approve, and that for him to replace the product for me would be the same as him stealing from the store. The products cost a total of 12 $, and it is ridiculous that even though I am a repeat customer who has spent thousands there, they would not replace them. I will not be returning.

I work down the street and always wanted to check this place out. Finally went in there for the first time to buy a grinder. Good prices and the guy that helped me was super nice. Gave me a $ 5 discount! Theres so many things to look at and they have really cool glass. They have a punchcard that gets stamped for every $ 15 spent. Once it’s filled you get 15% off any purchase!

The staff is always friendly and helpful here. They have a huge selection of just about anything you need. I like their set up with the two rooms as well.

Love these folks! I have never gone there and felt like the people who work there hated their jobs. Attitude with customer service is huge for me. I’ve been going here for what 14−15yrs? Never once have I had a negative experience! Even when they were around the corner on Farmington still good memories! Love you guys; put the a55holes around the corner at Tonys Smoke Shop in their place and continue showing them why you guys are the best!

Way bigger then the smoke shop down the street. I found some awesome new pieces here that i am way proud of. They had alot of things to look at, some not just smoking accessories but related stuff. The staff was very polite and friendly.

They have been here since I moved to Oregon in 2000. Other places have sprung up. Other places have gone down. I like them. Been comparison shopping for awhile now. Occasionally other places will have items a dollar cheaper or so. On things like vape supplies, these guys battery was 12 while up the street it was 17.99. I’ve been happy with their glass as well. Even if it was a dollar more for a 30 dollar item.

I love The Hot Box. They are a locally owned store that carry great products that are for the most part from local artists. Not just glass artists but they also have local art from painters, sculptors, etc from the Portland area. What really stands out about this place is that they are honest salespeople and if they don’t have the product that you want they will suggest a different store that does. So you don’t feel like they are jumping down your throat to just buy their products. They also have great warranties so that you can return their products as long as their not too «used» so to speak.

I remember I went in last yr and got my badass Phire water pipe here and I left the store thinking, damn that’s like the best headshop I’ve ever been to. Then less than a year goes by and I go in again and it’s like a deserted gas station. The same glass I saw from the first time, selection was scarce and disappointing. What really had me the first time was they’re selection of papers and unfortunately was very disappointed the second time around. I went into this place hoping to have another great experience with many pieces to check out but I walked out with my head down with disappointment. not to mention they’re prices are, well, ridiculous, way overpriced. If you’re looking for gag gifts or music stuff then it might be kinda cool but if it’s glass or «tobacco products» you’re looking for then you might want to check out other shops.

This USED to be my «go to» place for their great selection of Aurica Blends incense. The price was $ 0.10/stick. We’ve visited this local spot over the last several weeks only to find the incense bins empty. The guy behind the counter keeps telling us they’ll restock soon, but after 3 weeks in a row… we’ve decided to stop visiting. Too bad. We really try to shop local, but when they don’t restock… what else can you do?

$ 2 LPs on the westside? Sweet! Picked up 2 Kansas and Brubeck albums. They have a good selection of dvds. They also have oddities like novelty bandaids. And a collection of shirts with rude sayings or band names. Also a large selection of incense (which thankfully don’t stink up the store). And a lot of mary jane type items. The music and dvd selection was the best part of the store for me though.

Its more of a novelty store than it is a head shop, I mean they have glass but not a really big selection, pricing was typical on most of the glass although I saw some stuff that was wayyyy overpriced like stupidly overpriced. Selection of papers was ok. All in all if you are in the area check it out if you are passing through town looking to hit up a few cool shops this one will most likely not impress you.

This place has a fantastic collection of glass, many of which are made by local artists. Got a sweet Hammer bubbler, which quickly became the nicest piece in my collection.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Just remember to play by the normal head shop rules (remember, these are tobacco products).

What I like about this head shop most of all is its proximity to a police station, you know in case you didn’t like your pipe or smoking accessories, you can directly go to the police for a complaint!

Eh, head shop, is there more to say? Lots of glass pipes (don’t say bong) some cigars and rolling papers. Some ribbon tobacco for cig rolling, plenty of hats, shirts, jewelry, stickers, and all kids of silly pointless junk so they can reach a law saying your establishment cannot be more then 80% tobacco products without charging tobacco tax (or whatever). And as my star rating says «I’ve seen better.»
But hey, if you want a bong and flashing grandpa smurf doll, then check it out.

Every time I come in to the Hot Box, I get this unsettling feeling that somehow, somewhere, I’m ditching a math class to be there and any minute now a truancy officer is going to drag me back to the hallowed halls of high school.
The Hot Box is a cross between a tobacco shop & a Spencer’s gifts. You can get hemp jewelry, all types of incense and candles, over-​priced but way stylish reusable grocery bags, and (best of all!) Hobo brand ‘campfire coffee’ flavored candy cigarettes! You will also find a wide array of black-​light posters, gag gifts, and ‘smoking accessories.’
4 stars for a wide, wide selection & a friendly staff, and for being one of the few retail businesses with the tenacity to hang on to downtown Beaverton all these years.
