Omelet Shoppe

We went for lunch, mother in law had the BBQ sandwich it looked good and she said it was tasty. I had the bacon cheese burger it was pretty good the waitress explained that they use fresh hamburger well when the burger can it was a in price of meat that looks just like the meat you get on a McDonalds burger. The bacon on the other hand was really crispy and tasted great and finally the wife had a plain olé salad. Can’t go wrong with that. Will have to try the breakfast one day so we will try this place again.

Stopped in there cause I was starving got me a bacon burger and meat was undercooked, lettuce looked like it had set out for 2 days really dark color, And onion slimey. Left hungry went to McDonald’s people there is better places to spend your money. Only good thing is hash browns.

Normal breakfast food… the western hashbrowns were pretty good. Pass on the grits and chopped steak

Popped into Omelet Shoppe for a quick breakfast while visiting Beckley on a business trip. Service was fast and my server was very sweet. Basically a Waffle House. Cheap prices for basic breakfast. Only negative thing is the hash browns could have been cooked more. Little raw on the inside. Besides that, everything was tasty! I’ll be back tomorrow morning!

This place is excellent. You can’t beat for this good for the price. I wish this place was near me. I’ll probably never pass through here again. I’ll miss this place. It’s like a better Waffle House. If you don’t like Waffle House. Don’t come here!

Although the waitress was very nice, the food was not the best. We should have checked the ratings first…

I should have definitely looked at the reviews before eating here. The hamburger was not cooked all the way through, the coffee was awful, the eggs had no flavor and they had the thinnest bacon I’ve ever seen. On a positive note, our waitress was attentive to ensure we had anything needed. However, I don’t plan on eating there again.

I have ate here for a good 20 years… food always been decent. few times the waitress was blah… but mostly good service. never seen the restroom dirty either.

Should have checked Unilocal first, which we generally do — especially when traveling.
Very clearly stated that I am allergic to beef and pork, and my omelet was served with ham — which was chopped so small I was four bites in before I realized. Made it seem ridiculously insignificant that the wrong kind of toast came with my food, too.
My boyfriend was especially upset by the waitress continually saying that it wasn’t her fault, and trying to prove it by showing him the ticket that she rang up. Manager never came out, even 10 minutes later, even though we asked to speak with him. So lame.
Because my boyfriend and I were meeting up at a halfway point with him traveling for work — I got to drive back to Virginia alone, dosed up on Benadryl and suffering with an allergic reaction. All because this place can’t handle the simple instructions of no beef or pork, please. Serious allergy.
Very lucky that I didn’t have to go to the hospital this time.
I try to stick with the «if you don’t have anything nice to say…» adage, but I feel like folks should know. This place is the pits.

For a place called the Omelet Shop, you would think the Omelets would be really good. Not so. Ordered a mushroom and cheese omelet and there was nothing inside the egg. A few mushrooms were on the outside with a slice of cold cheese on top. Hash browns were cooked only on outside and raw on inside. Toast was soggy. Service was lovely, but that was the only good thing. Go to McDonalds across the street.

Horrible service… waitress was too busy with arranging the empty tables instead of taking care of customers. Felt like leaving the place immediately. Food is average in taste and expensive…

Surprisingly good little diner, especially when Joseph is working the grill. It’s an inspiration to watch him work!
