If they were in Seattle, it would be a 1 star. Even though every Starbucks employee gets the same training??? Half empty drinks? Trying to charge double for an iced coffee? They gave me a free drink when I came in to get another coffee(cuz 5 sips of anything isn’t going to wake me up) with a very pleasant frown on their face and a muffled half hearted«I’m sorry». The free drink? Also not all the way full… Now for the double charge? When a customer asks for a receipt– YOUGIVETHEMTHERECEIPT!!! Anyone in customer service knows this. Because if the customer is wrong, then the receipt can prove it. And if the receipt proves they were right and you were wrong? Guess what! Fix it! They are the paying customer and charging double for a half empty drink is not the business plan Starbucks used to become a multi-billion dollar international household name. Just be glad Starbucks doesn’t do surprise visits like some other stores do. — some helpful advice from a fellow minimum wage payed customer service representative.

The girl at the register was kind, but every single thing was ridiculously overpriced. The baristas were incredibly slow, and even then, they got my very simple order wrong, which I realized down the road whenever I finally got to drink my long awaited drink. I ended up pouring it out(wasting my $ 5) since we’re driving through the mountains and there’s no turning back. On the return trip, I’ll be sure to get my Starbucks somewhere else.

This is NOT an actual Starbucks, they are allowed to use the name and brew the grinds but they water it down and rotate between other truck stop stores. This is NOT Starbucks! KEEPDRIVING. The closest actual store is REAL close right off the hwy in Beckley WV.

The line was so long and customer urgency is nonexistent. At least PRETEND to hustle and care about your job in front of the customers. After waiting in an absurdly long line and hearing 2⁄3 patrons correct their order AFTER it was made I decided to skip the cup of Starbucks I had been waiting 25 miles for and buy an energy drink instead.

S. L. O. W. Bad service. Find another location. Skip this one. They put whip cream on a skinny mocha, had to redo it. Took way too long. This is not the first bad experience here. At least they are consistent. Reb

Ran in really quick to order a pick me up as I had been driving a long distance. I’m not sure if service was shitty because it’s early evening, or what. Who knows. I was the only person in line, btw. Ordered my drink. Took 20 minutes for them to give me my drink… Then the drink I was given wasn’t mine… Ok… Finally handed right drink… Awful. Awful service. Prices on board do not match the prices they ring you up as. Definitely do not understand the meaning of customer service.

I don’t know if it’s because it’s in service center, but this place needs a major overhaul! We stopped by on our way home and the line was long, no problem… got our order in and paid and waited about 20 minutes to get my drink. While waiting, I overheard the two employees talk about scheduling issues, staff issues and lot of other issues in the public and they were so focused on their conversation, they were very slow in getting the drinks ready… in addition, the waiting area smelled like someone did #1 there or something… it was a strong smell one doesn’t need to smell by the coffee area… I just hope this was one of those days where I just happened to stop by when things were going well… just hoping it is!

The price included tax, on a to-go order? And the price for my hot hazelnut macchiato was more than what was listed on the board. She adjusted the price but only after asking the other employee about it. I wonder how many people were over charged and don’t realize it. Also they were NOT able to scan my Starbucks app on my iPhone because they don’t have a scanner, I had to read my card number out loud which was not very private and a bit uncomfortable to do that.

Stopped into the rest area on the Turnpike for coffee and were met with the most disgruntled employee I’ve seen in a very long time, I didnt catch the girls name but she made a big impression on most of the 7 or 8 of us waiting for service. The Gentleman in line ahead of us had ordered and he was waiting on his drink when he asked her for sugar, the sugar bin was empty, she was making his drink so she turned around and said«I’ve been working alone for 10 hours so I’ll get you some in a minute» the guys looked over at me and we both raised our eyebrows. She finished his drink and without even acknowledging that there were more people waiting in line she walked out of the store, through the service plaza and into an unknown room around the corner. She totally left the Starbucks unmanned and didnt even have the decency to ask us to be patient or explain what was happening. Just then another Starbucks employee came into the plaza, logged into a register and immediately took my order and started making my drink… then miss Bad Attitude came back with a box of sugar, shoved a couple handfuls into the bin, she walked behind the counter and threw her card keys onto the registed and walked off. None of us who were in line gave a crap about her bad day… as it turned out we had hit out 10 hour driving mark when we decided to stop in for coffee and yet we still had good attitudes, even when faced with her bad one. She needs to be reprinamded not only for trewating customers badly but for also ditching the other employee who just stepped into work with a long line of people waiting. Shame on her, Starbucks needs some major training to happen at this store.

This is a country Starbucks. Inside, the local characters are definitely worth watching. Behind the counter, the employees are a bit slower than usual but they make up for it in sweetness, neatness, accuracy, and flavoring their drinks with love. And in fairness, they will pick up the speed if there are a lot of people waiting. Not a bad ‘bux. It’s also one of the few in this area, and it’s open 24⁄7.

TEA! I GOTTEA! Well, it was 11pm at night. This Starbucks is located in the Beckley Turnpike Plaza at the end — or beginning — of a local toll plaza. Can’t mess up prepackaged tea that you add water to. Thank god!
