I have been a patient at Bedford Commons OB-GYN for 8 years and have only wonderful things to say. The doctors and practitioners truly care about my well being and always find the time to see me. When I call the office, a real person answers the phone — that’s hard to find just about anywhere these days — and I always get a call back within an hour. My husband and I chose to go to Bedford Commons OB-GYN for both of my pregnancies. From the care during my pregnancies, ultrasounds, and deliveries, I could not have been more pleased. The providers really listened to my needs and concerns. I would recommend Bedford Commons OB-GYN to everyone!

It seems this is a big fish in a small pond situation. Bedford Commons is one of only a very few Ob/Gyn practices in the area who deliver at Elliot. Unfortunately, this makes them cocky and callous about their patients. If you are someone who hopes to be in charge of your health care, or hope to be respected as a person/professional/mother/etc., I cannot recommend this practice. They begin every relationship with a one-size-fits all protocol, make snap decisions, and are judgmental if you disagree(even with things that are not medically black & white). Respect yourself and respect your right to medical CARE, not medical processes, and look elsewhere.

If I could choose no stars that’s really what I would have gone with. It’s too bad because if you asked me not too long ago they would have been 5! I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year and was still in pain afterwards. I fell pregnant shortly after and my pain and symptoms were gone during the pregnancy. After having my baby my endo seems to have come back with a venegance and have been in and out of their office. They finally told me that they would not do another surgery for me since it did not help my pain the first time and that I ultimately would need a hysterectomy. In the meantime since I am not done having kids he(Dr. Wilson) said that I could do Lupron(terrible surpressing drug w/a 50% chance of it working) for the next 6 months or experiment with different birth controls. While doing some research on my options I came across a doctor who specializes in excision of endometriosis and I decided to reach out to him for a second opinion. I then started having the most absolute worst pains and other endo related symptoms that were making me nervous so I called Bedford Commons. They refused to see me and said that they’ve already given me plenty of options so if I was not willing to chose one of their’s then I would need to see my primary care or the specialist in Maine I told them I would be seeing but was not a patient with yet. The nurse who relayed all this to me was so snooty and unprofessional. They left me feeling very defeated and lost. I was also shocked that they did not want to at least see me to ensure there was nothing else going on. I can now see the lack of sympathy they have for the patients. I also caution those that have the disease and are dealing with this practice to please go to someone that specializes in it!!! It’s very obvious the ignorance they hold towards this disease and many women are suffering or going with their ineffective, dangerous and limited options that only mask the situation, if that! I’ve always viewed doctors as professionals that are supposed to help, these people are a shame to the medical field!

First things first, I cannot talk about the doctors here because I have never met one as they were too busy to schedule time with and had always seen Nurse Practitioners(two of them) and they were too eager to get me out of there and gave me a fake smile every time I asked a question(I hated them). There are too many male practitioners(thankfully I never talked to one). We went there because we wanted to get pregnant and even before doing labs on me, they went straight ahead and booked me for advanced tests which are, at this point, useless, which I found out when I started going to a new practice in MA. These advanced tests need a security deposit of $ 500, apart from me having a good insurance(ridiculous, I know!). That is when I thought, this cannot be right as I never got a chance to meet the doctor to get an opinion. I wouldn’t give this place one star if I don’t have to. The best advice I can give you — ‘stay away from this money-mongers, you will do yourselves a favor. The practice is FAKE’
