Just had wings from the Box. Maybe the best wings I’ve ever ate. Meaty, smokey, fiery, heavenly!

Slow service, waited about an hour on a s visibly slow night for them to realize the cook never started my meal. Bar staff more interested in the regulars daily antics then the customers. Fortunately after an hour I left and will not go back. Similar stories from folks at work about hit or miss o.k. time or it royally sucked.

I had the brisket sandwich with baked beans and it was all cold. The bun for my sandwich was really cold. I

This place serves up passable ‘cue but only barely. The first time I went here I ordered burnt ends. I got slices of brisket from the flat that were burnt on one end. Second time was only marginally better but quite chewy. I really wanted to love this place because they’re convenient, but I’ll be sticking with Blue Ribbon. There’s just no comparison.

Ate here for lunch with my colleagues from work. I ordered the 2 meat combo Burnt Ends and ribs, both came out dry and hard. When I brought this to the Tattooed waitress attention she began to tell me that burnt ends are supposed to be on the dry side. I don’t think so Lady. On top of that the attitude I received was noticed not only by me but by my colleagues as well. Just like that this place lost 6 quality patrons. #thisisntrealbbqfolks #microwavebbqkindofplace

Went for lunch. I got the lunch special of a Pulled Pork Sandwich, Baked Beans, Mac & Cheese and an Iced T. The staff was friendly and I was seated quickly. The Pulled Pork Lunch special was delivered quickly although it was a bit cooler than expected. I also would like to have seen some coleslaw and bread & butter pickles. The Baked Beans were nice and hot and very tasty. Don’t bother with the Mac & Cheese, as I’ve gotten better in the hospital. All and all, an average experience.

I’ve been here twice so far and will definitely come back. Really great meats. I’ve had their pulled pork, brisket(regular and burnt ends) and tried their chicken too in tacos. I was impressed with all! My fiancé also really enjoyed their pulled pork burrito. Also, the $ 5 margaritas can’t be beat, delicious and cheap! I love the ambiance, really laid-back Americana. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 has been that the waitstaff has seemed really disorganized. Friendly, for sure, but not at all with-it.

Came here for lunch with a co-worker. Food: Ordered the Sliced Angus Beef Plate with mac and cheese and mash potatoes as sides. The smoked angus beef was tasty(considering we’re in New England), the potatoes were basic and the mac and cheese was really bland(I didn’t bother to finish it). The best part of the meal would be the corn bread! It wasn’t too sweet nor was it too dry. Service: Would give the service 2 stars. We ate our entire meal and she never filled our water glasses. She seemed rushed every time she got to our table… and the restaurant wasn’t even packed. Note: I checked in on Unilocal and received a 10% coupon :) Would probably come back if I was feelin for some«southern» brisket.

Artisanal bbq is what they advertise, and they really deliver! The smoked meats prepared here are outstanding, comparing well with what is available in areas better known for their BBQ. This is my second visit. I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich the first time. The pulled pork is tender with a nice smokey flavor and enough moisture left in it to keep it from being dry. This visit I tried the burnt ends. They were outstanding! Very smokey and fall apart tender. As good as the meats are one might expect the sides to be only a sideshow, but they are fine in their own right. I haven’t eaten here enough to have tried them all, but the ones I have had(fries, roasted sweet potatoes, and Cole slaw) were all delicious and appeared to be freshly prepared in-house. In an era when too many restaurants just open a bad of something from Sysco, it is great to find a place that makes good themselves. Oh and let me not forget to mention the very good margaritas made with their own mix. Better than average and priced right. As good as the food is, I took off a star for service and condition. The servers were very friendly but when we visited it appeared the bartender was doing all the service jobs by herself on a Friday night with a steady stream of customers. A second person appeared after a while and cleaned a couple of tables and then disappeared for long periods of time. Perhaps this was someone from the kitchen helping out? Super friendly but also super disorganized. The general atmosphere and décor are appropriate for the restaurant, but stained and damaged ceiling tiles below maintenance problems. Might be the fault of the building owner, but it elects poorly on the restaurant. Despite the small gripes this place is decongestant worth repeat business.

I enjoy cooking and eating BBQ. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering one of the specials that day — the Jambalaya. Now, I know that a special like that is going to be the last ditch effort to use up some leftovers and I’m OK with that — the server said it was wonderful. The«Jambalaya» was pretty bland — rice, BBQ sauce(weak sauce), leftover chicken and leftover meat, with what seemed like some chopped red bell pepper. Adding some spicy leftover sausage would have helped. It would seem FireBox have a food safety/handling issue as the meal gave me food poisoning. I was sick for a day and a half — and I have a cast-iron stomach, rarely affected by food that makes others sick. I was thinking I would go back and try something more in the heart of the menu, but after reading about another person who usually leaves with a stomach ache, I think I’ll just stay away.

Based on the listed reviews we were expecting the ribs to be fantastic. In the photos they looked to be fall off the bone yummy but they were not like that at all and they had some rub on them I didn’t care for. The French fries were the battered type and were good but not great. The bbq sauces were very runny & not very good and all. It was an okay meal but nothing to get excited about.

Dined here five times; I find it disappointingly mediocre. Chewy, odd-texture ribs — always end up with a stomach ache. The«buffalo» wings have a smoky taste, but they are breaded or something and lack actual Buffalo sauce. On that topic, good wings are SOEASY to make. Why not lose the breading, and either use real sauce(Franks Hot Sauce & margarine or butter) or real sauce doctored with other notes? Ugh. Back to my disappointment…

This place is awesome! I started going here when it was a «Know Fat Low Fat». Then 2 guys bought the place and opened«Fire Box». The food completely changed for the better. We frequented this place for a long time. Still visit when we want to switch up the atmosphere and are tired of crap fast food. The owners were almost immediately approved for a beer and wine license. They then awaited patiently on their liquor and live entertainment license. After they received that, they switched the whole place around and renovated. Adding a substantial bar when compared to the size of the spot. Awesome food, awesome drink. BBQ galore. Bedford needed a place like this. I love it. Everyone is friendly and the owners rock. They use local vendors for the majority of their menu ingredients and sodas too. Go here!

Good BBQ, some decent sauces and a good bock beer on tap. The bar tender was also in charge of all the tables. So the service was not the fastest but good enough for a quite evening meal. She was sweet and had a nice smile and some great ink. The BBQ is not what I am used to in Texas but I will be back. Good overall experience. Keep it up Y’ALL.

I ordered to go. But I def want to go back and sit in. The guy that took my order was suoer friendly. I had the meatloaf, mac and cheese, collard green and baked beans and it was so good. I typically don’t like mac and cheese from other places but theirs is delish. so worth going there. Oh and their hot sauce is very hot and I love hots.

Came here for lunch a couple of times, and I thought the regular bbq as just OK, the prices are on the high side, and the portions are small. Not a fan of the usual bbq. HOWEVER, we came here for an all-you-can-eat pig roast for $ 20, and that was EPIC. I ate *so* *much* *pig* — it was juicy and delicious, and included unlimited sides of cole slaw, beans, mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and PULLEDPORK. That’s right, I got a side of pork with my pork. Totally worth it.

Just dont understand why this place wasnt busy on a Saturday night at 6pm. The bbq is good. Let me tell about our experience though– might have some signs… We came in just about 6pm– the two cooks were sitting out in the dining area– eating(or chatting or both) A sign says’ please wait to be seated’. So we did. The cooks just kept looking at us and no one came to seat us for a few. When we were finally seated– they retreated to the back room(kitchen I am assuming) and the bartender sat us_She was very nice, admitted she had only worked there a week(?) andgave us menus. She was nice– but was handling drinks AND the dining room all alone– it got busier as we ate– so by 7pm — she had a few tables and was doing double duty. We had almost every BBq item they had– everything tasted good. The ribs tasted very smoky– not sure if it was an actual smoker that did the job or smoke flavoring but they tasted good and were juicy= not dry like some other local places for BBq– AND they were NOT fatty. The place is set up with a bar room like atmosphere(you basically eat in the bar area where there is also a bar with stools) Not as kid friendly as it should be for Bedford. Id go back– BUT Id suggest to the manager or owner that you get some more help for the later tome of evening for the bartender– let her do the job behind the bar OR wait on tables– not both. Your kitchen staff needs to learn how to eat out of sight AND to let patrons know whats going on(Mind you we walked in and NOONE else was in there) I got the feeling the place just went thru a staff overhaul– Am I correct?

Had the BBQ pulled pork sandwhich with their house sauce and fried Sweet Potato fries. The sandwhich was great and just the right sauce. The pork was tender and juicy. I must say the girl smoke ok this place is amazing. The fries were a little disappointing — they were just too oily for my taste. Overall I would definitely come back to try another dish.
