Always happy with my hair(and color) and facials and waxing there. Decided to glam it up a bit and try eyelash extensions(they do hair extensions too). Lasts for a few weeks, no need for mascara, you wake up looking great. Oddly, no one has noticed and commented on them specifically, but I’ve been getting compliments like«you look great» or «your blonde hair makes your eyes pop.» So I’m a fan! I also like the range of prices for hair stylists, depending on their experience. I’ve never seen anyone leave there unhappy. It’s upscale, but not snobby.

I have been going to this salon salon for a long time. I was traveling over the past few months and could not get an appointment. I went to another salon and it was a disaster. H2O is the best salon I have been to in the past 20 years. They know what they are doing. The ultimate professionals. It is a great Salon!!!

STAYAWAYFROMTHISSALON The salon has no warmth, it reminds me of a budget salon. The stylist Kelly seemed to be just out of school. I received the worst haircut of my life. She was rough and kept pulling my hair. My hair was all uneven. She trimmed in some layering after it was dry. The cut was just terrible. I had to go have it fixed by stylist at my friends Salon. I would recommend you not go to this salon! I wish I could give no stars. I left there just about in tears.

I’m disappointed to see these poor reviews. I’ve always had great experiences with the whole team at H2O. They really care about making your hair look awesome, so try again and tell them«Brian said to try again». These guys love hair and really do put in the effort to make their customers happy.

H20 Salon Spa has been my «go to» hair salon since moving from NJ to NH almost ten years ago. Gretchen is my stylist; she’s wonderfully talented and she listens to what I want. In fact, I recently had my hair colored and decided to have chunkier highlights added. I liked what she did and, then, over the next few days, felt that the highlights could have been more«bright» or more«distributed» for the look that I was hoping to achieve. I called and Gretchen brought me back in to touch them up… no charge. This is a demonstration of her(and the salon’s) listening to the customer. They value loyalty and they work with their customers’ wishes. A home run in my opinion! One more example… I had a business trip coming up and really needed a trim. I called and Gretchen wasn’t working that day, so I met with Molly, someone new to me. Molly did a great job considering she and I hadn’t worked together prior to that day. Message… you’ll get great, talented service from all of H20’s stylists. If you are looking for a salon that employs stylists who are creative, up to date, and will work with your needs and wishes… go to H20 salon. You won’t be disappointed!

Never once left here happy with the color of my hair. Now I have«hot roots» — aka orange roots and an ugly orange-brown shade on the rest of my hair. Stay away.

This place is TERRIBLE. I have no idea how they convinced Elle that they were a halfway decent salon. I have been to several different stylists — always for a blowout — and I have NEVER left pleased. Which is incredible. No one in that salon can do a decent blowout? Even worse is that several stylists act put out when you ask them to flat iron, notwithstanding the fact that the flat iron is necessary due to their incompetence. Also, the staff turnover is remarkably high. Which is troubling. I’ve also been SO unimpressed with reception. They are flighty and rude and generally worthless, seemingly always overwhelmed. Do yourself a favor and skip this salon despite its claim that it is «best of» New Hampshire. It isn’t. It is a mediocre salon with lousy service.

Best haircut experience I’ve had in my life! Friendly service, focus on education, and excellent treatment for affordable prices.

The style and color I received was fine, but nothing special. Most importantly, I felt like I was *bothering* the staff by being there. It seemed as though they were overbooked or something, and I just felt like the staff was trying to move things along quickly without the personal attention. I had an appointment. The staff seemed grouchy and rushed, except when it came to people who were clearly their friends who had stopped by to eat food(smelly) and socialize. I did not care for the atmosphere. When I go to a salon, I go to feel like I am being pampered. I did not here.

I have gone to H20 Salon twice now, and I’m not going back. It’s hard to find a stylist and salon that you like, that gives you the right cut /color, and makes you feel that you’ve spent your money well. H20 Salon doesn’t make the cut even though they were voted the«Best Salon» by readers of New Hampshire magazine. I gave my stylist two tries to get it right. The first cut and semi-permanent color I got was fair, but nothing special. In fact, the color was dark, and I was conflicted as to whether I wanted to keep it or not. The cut was more a shaping than a cut. The receptionist /salon manager pushed a «special» discount if I came back within 6 weeks, so I booked another appointment to give it another go. The second cut was less than stellar. I asked specifically for a shape and cut that would make my face look less round and full. The stylist did the exact opposite – she cut it so it made my face look VERY round and full. The color… she thought it was«fine.» I still thought it was a bit dark, but I went with her advice. I decided to let my hair grow out and the color to go back to natural after that appointment. To my surprise, the color did NOT fade – even after three months. I asked specifically for a semi-permanent color that would fade in 6 to 8 weeks… it did not. I went to another salon for a consultation, and the owner /master stylist told me that I did NOT get a semi-permanent color; I in fact had a permanent color that would fade over a long time, but needed to be removed if I didn’t like it. I went back to H2O salon and discussed the problem with the manager. The owner(and finally the stylist) came over to talk to me. The owner asked the stylist what level of color(signifying permanence) that she gave me. She said a level DOUBLE the normal level for semi-permanent so it would«last longer.» The owner frowned at her, then turned to me and BLAMEDME for the permanence. She said that I «should have known» that when you color over color that it «becomes permanent.» Um, the stylist just admitted that she gave me a more permanent color than I asked and did so TWICE. Hello! Blaming the customer is NEVER a good way to ease tension and make things right. I told them that they needed to fix the problem, so the owner finally agreed to have the stylist remove the color. I went in a few days later, and she did just that. Grudgingly. And then she handed me a brush and her hair dryer so I could dry my own hair and walked away. I get that she was not happy to lose a customer and to have to fix the problem on her own time. That she was surly and continued to blame me(again, the«you should have known» argument) when I spoke to her about the issue was the final straw. I won’t be back. ***** In response to the owner’s comments: While I understand that you want to repair the negative comments regarding your salon, I clearly and distinctly remember how I was treated, including the SHEERANIMOSITY of the stylist as she was removing my color(she removed the color, handed me a brush and walked away without a word) and YOUR condescending attitude towards me. Nothing you claim will change that. The cut was bad, the color was not what I asked for, and the treatment I received when I returned to have the issues repaired were unacceptable. As I stated above, I won’t be back.
