Really Good burgers in a very relaxed 50s style café. Good service and clean. We have been here twice and will be back. The prices are very reasonable. Grilled cheese for my grandaughter was excellent as well.

My boyfriend and I tried this place about a month after it had opened. It’s seat yourself which was kind of awkward because it’s a restaurant not a café or coffee place. The place was packed so we sat at the bar area seating. All of the waitstaff looks like they are barely 18 which is fine but they were acting pretty immature behind the counter. Arguing with each other, talking about their weekends and boyfriend issues. This was all being said right in front of us as we were waiting for one of them to notice us and take our orders. Our food was sub par, we ordered a bacon cheeseburger, shrimp po boy, fries and chocolate shake. the bun looked like it was bought at Walmart and the bacon on my burger was burnt. The hamburger patty was literally crumbling apart and was super thin. The prices are cheap but for a place that says, «hamburgers, shakes and fries», on their sign, none of those items were any good. The po’boy was actually the best meal besides the bun being soggy and not even toasted. Oh and what topped it all off was the nice comment,“hold on I’ll be right back, I have to use the restroom.“from our waitress before she brought us our food. I would honestly not waste your time going here, you can get a better burger at in n out, red robin, five guys, or twisted root! Or hell even make it yourself!

This burger and shake place has been open a few weeks. It’s in the Kroger shopping center at Harwood & Central in the space formerly occupied by Le Peep. I went for lunch on a Friday. The place was about ¾ full. It’s decorated minimally with a faux 50’s theme. Some vinyl records on the walls, pink and light blue upholstery and a little chrome. I ordered the Andy size cheeseburger with Swiss, onion, lettuce, tomato and jalapenos. I also had an order of regular fries and tea. Everything was average, good but nothing special. The burgers are served on a generic white burger bun. The hamburger patty was cooked past medium(I wasn’t asked how I wanted it cooked) with no grill marks or crisp edges. The toppings were fresh but again nothing special, the jalapenos were mild which is not why I ordered them. The fries are pretty good. They are thin cut, were piping hot and had some crispy bits and ends which I like. They were barely salted which is OK with me but I think most people would want to add salt. The bill was a little over $ 8 without tip. They also have shakes, floats and frozen custard. Probably a good place to take the kids. The place is similar to Steak ‘n Shake but with a more limited menu. I’m sure I’ll stop in again since it is convenient, fast and I often shop at the Kroger next door. I’ll probably try something other than a burger next time. If you are just looking for a burger, there are better ones right across the street at Twisted Root plus you can get an adult beverage there.

I like this place! I’d give it 5 stars if my food was a bit hotter. However, when the waiter offered me dessert and I said I couldn’t have any because I’m lactose intolerant, he offered me some gummy bears which was so sweet!
