Friendly café! Work brought my co-workers and I to Bedford. We live in Indianapolis, Chicago and Nashville, TN. This café could hold its own in any of these cities. What a gem! For soup and sandwiches and home baked cake and pie, this is the place to go. There is a wide selection of sandwiches and wraps and the homemade soup was delicious. The hummingbird cake was as good as what grandma would make! I would highly recommend this café! Can’t wait to come back the next time I am in town.

Had a lovely meal on Sat. They are open every other Sat evening. This was a four course meal with a choice of carrot soup or salad; lamb chops, lemon chicken or vegetable fettucini; and carrot cake or chocolate espresso cake. Our bottle of Pinot Grigio was well priced. The service was excellent. Dinner for two including wine was $ 60. We would definitely done here again.

While driving from West Virginia back to Los Angeles, we found ourselves hungry in Bedford, Indiana. Google showed us the«Olde Downtown Tavern» which ended up looking pretty dismal. Luckily, next door was the Limestone Café so we gave it a shot. Very glad we did. Lovely décor, really friendly staff(that appear to always be faithful), and damn good food. Heartily recommend if you’re in the area.

I saw an article in the local paper about this new restaurant opening up near the square in Bedford. The article mentioned that the menu included vegetarian items, which immediately caught my attention(there are very few options for vegetarians dining out in Lawrence County). The café was a little hard to find(they don’t have their outside sign up yet), but I finally got there — it’s located right next to the Olde Downtown Tavern. The inside is very nice and pretty much what you would expect for an upscale café. I chose the«Pick 2» lunch option and got a cup of their roasted red pepper and gouda soup, and a hummus wrap. Both were very good, with extra kudos going to the soup. The wrap was the only veg-friendly item on the sandwich menu, but the server said they would be adding more vegetarian options in the future. She also said that they would be happy to custom make a sandwich. On the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, the café plans to offer«Bistro Nights» from 5:30p-9p. These are 4-course meals with a heftier price tag than their normal menu. They’ve offered two so far. I’ve heard good reports, but I haven’t tried this out dinner option out myself yet. There is free WIFI in the café. During the summer, they plan to offer some limited outdoor seating on the sidewalk. This place could definitely become a regular spot for me!
