Papa Gino’s

I’m in complete opposition here. I always enjoyed the sauce and thin crust of Papa’s pizza. Frankly, it’s some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. The sauce has a zesty peppery taste I enjoy very much. Wow, it’s actually been a long time since I’ve had pizza at Papa Gino’s. I hope it still has that thin, soft crust with the same zesty peppery sauce and cheese flavor that I so foundly remember. I’m definitely hittin’ a PG’s as soon as I visit New Hampshire again. Hopefully it’ll be as I remember? It’d better be!
Of course it has a fast-​food vibe and attracts a lot of mall rats, which I prefer to do without, completely. And the service metered on the amateur I-​hate-​working-​here side.
Ahhh, the smell of PG’s pizza in the car as I would take it home to eat.
With the family, of course.

Be very careful about ordering here BEFORE you see a movie… you might not make it. Way, way, back when, they gave a group of us elementary aged homeschooled kids a nice tour/​make-​your-​own-​pizza time, letting us learn about how to make pizza. However, I do believe that manager left and the service went downhill from there. I do like their chicken-​garlic pizza quite a bit, and I can’t complain about the quality of any of the food I’ve eaten here. Like Ian W. noted however, it seems to take them forever, and I too have overheard none-​too-​pleasant exchanges.

I concur with Mandy P. on the service at the Bedford Mall location, which needs a lot of work. I was here a while back for lunch and they have a table service (not a good concept & the other locations don’t have it). I waited at the counter by myself for about 5 minutes just to place an order because the person running the counter was also in the dining area serving.
I ordered a Pasta Trio Plate (spaghetti, ravioli, penne alfredo & a cheese breadstick) and an order of chicken tenders and fries for carryout. The lunch crowd (10 people) started gradually arriving. I went next door to Staples for 10 minutes and came back to see if my food was ready (it wasn’t).
Other customers were also still waiting for their food, and one customer had to leave for work after waiting 15 minutes for a tuna sub. The counter staff and kitchen staff were bickering back and forth (very unprofessional). After 20 minutes of waiting (from the time of my order), I went over to the counter and asked about my food and they finally got around to making it. I had my small food order in 35 minutes total, which should have taken no longer than 15 minutes. Amazingly, the only good thing was the taste of the food.
I enjoy Papa Gino’s menu, but I will not visit the Bedford, NH location again. The Papa Gino’s in Natick, MA is my favorite location, with friendly people, good food, and fast service.

Absolutely nasty! The pizza lacked spices and the ravioli was actually dry and tasted totally disgusting, like they took cooked pasta that was laying out for a while and put a luke-​warm sauce over part of it! Service is less than stellar, teenage kids who don’t seem to care and when I asked what was in a certain sandwich none of them knew the ingredients. I wouldn’t waste my time or money on this place again! F–
How this ever got to be a chain is beyond me.
