I find so many cool things here. If vintage kitchen items are your thing, you will want check this place out. My most recent find was a set of four vintage Pyrex mixing bowls for $ 40. I also found a fun 1970’s era hot air popcorn popper that was unlike anything I’d ever seen before and it worked like a charm. They have a fairly decent book selection as well, if you’re still into actual paper. Clothing is hit or miss, although they seem to have more in these days than they have over the winter. The staff is friendly, but if you roll in after 5PM, they will start herding you towards the door around 5:45PM, so plan accordingly.

I looked at the women’s shirt selection first, and I felt pangs of disappointment that this place was all hype. HOWEVER, as I started wandering around the rest of the store, I noticed several things that restored my hope. The store is clean, well organized, and well labelled. Now the labeling is very important to me. One of my pet peeves is when items have no price and/or you can’t find a price anywhere. So that was great. The shoes are color coded, which is GENIUS. I have big feet and it was awesome to just glance over and see the choices in my size by looking at the stickers. I wish every store did that. It’s also nice that there are«blanket prices» for shoes, pants, etc. instead of a different price for each individual item. There are only 2 fitting rooms, but they are very spacious with a huge mirror. It felt luxurious compared to the typical thrift store fitting room. Downsides: women’s shirts(although duh, I know the selection changes based on donations) hard to navigate with a shopping cart(bumped into stuff several times) cannot use debit card for under $ 10(had to grab a random teacup to reach the minimum)

The clothing prices at the Coat of Many Colors has not changed in a very long time. Their Hours are 10 –6 Mon-Sat They are run by volunteers which is why they close promptly at 6:00. The prices have remained constant. All proceeds benefit Mission Central and supports local families. So when you buy something you not only make a purchase for you or your family but help someone in need. The volunteers do the best they can to price items. The main focus is affordable clothing for customers. Other non clothing items are priced accordingly and researched prior to being put in the store. Vintage and antique items are priced higher but still a bargain when compared to other shops. Something new will not be priced the same as a used item but always below normal retail.

Love this thrift store, old school cheap pricing & lots of great homewares… not a lot of clothing & tight space between racks. I got a chi straightener for $ 5! Stoked!

Very surprised at how much some things costs. Went looking for wall pictures and anything that was sized 12×15 and over was minimum 25.00! Outrageous for a re sale store. I was offended and left quickly.

I have been here about 3 times, 2 of them I had a very limited time frame so I didn’t find anything, but if you have enough time to dig you will find a treasure! Cheap compared to goodwill and other chain thrift shops. Also they have a lot of cutenew items that stores have donated. Favorite find was a homedics shiatsu massage chair for $ 10!

I’d have to agree with the other reviewers in that this place is a gem. It is very clean and their merchandise is in better condition than some other thrift stores. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are super friendly. The only drawback is that it is not a huge selection. I still managed to find a couple of things though! Definitely worth checking out.

I have only bought a book or two when making donation stops but I am impressed with the people that volunteer and keep this place going. I drop in from time to time when shopping next door at Half Price Books and just see how the are doing and what they may need. They truly are wonderful people doing a worthwhile thing. The prices they charge are very reasonable and help those in need. Drop by and see what I mean.

This is a great thrift shop. It’s a bit on the small side but it’s pretty packed with good finds. women’s/men’s/kids/baby clothes. shoes. household items. occasionally one or two pieces of large furniture. jewelry/hats/scarves/belts. books/magazines/crafts. I love buying scarves, belts and clothes here. and randomly household items like small dishes. You can get some clothes for $ 0.50! The other reviewer that mentioned bringing in cash; it’s true. They don’t have change for larger bills either.

This is one of my favorite hidden gems. I get a lot of socks and underwear here for our family of 7. The profits help other families in need. Most of the clothing is in very good shape. The best bargains are the underwear… men’s are .75 to $ 1 and men’s undershirts tanks $ 1.

People– I love this place. I have been going here for quite a while and almost hate to review it– I want to keep it a secret :) They have quite the selection of new and used items. I get most of my husband’s shirts from here(usually for 1.00 or less). They also have a huge selection of brand new socks and underwear(usually community action groups will send refugees and such here with vouchers to get items). They also have a lot of household items. Bring cash unless you plan to spend over $ 10… I always forget that until I am there to shop. I agree that they do close early(but I believe this is because they are staffed by volunteers.

Where to start about this place… I guess the first thing to talk about is the prices… Wow! They sell themselves as the«most inexpensive» resale shops in the metroplex and I’d have to agree(as far as I can tell). Most of the merchandise in this store is $ 7 and under. And to make things better, they have sections where clothing can go for as little as 50 cents. Yes, I wrote that correctly. 50 cents. So. you would think that the quality of the items would suffer(I mean, it’s almost too cheap, right?). Wrong. My girlfriend was looking through clothes that were in good to great condition and these items were selling for a dollar to a dollar fifty. And though the store can look a little messy in the merchandise area, overall the store is kept in terrific condition. BTW, all of the profits from this place go towards programs to help area families. Plus, the location of the store is awesome for bargain hunters since it’s located between a Tuesday Morning and Half Price Books. Fantastic! So what’s the catch? The size of the store(kind of small, but not too small), and the store hours(closed at 4:30PM during a weekday?). Anyways, we ended up doing our part by purchasing a glass vase that day(I think it was around a dollar), and I’m sure we’ll be back often in the future.
