First time visit was New Year’s Eve. Owner Darrin stopped by our table several times during the meal. Talked about the Chefs & their menu. Recent changes to the menu was the topic. He was excited about the changes. I had a salad of fresh greens w/honey mustard dressing. The beef tips & shrimp w/red potato mash. String beans fresh not frozen. Excellent meal. Rang in the New Year w/pork & sauerkraut. Thankx, Darrin & crew

As someone who sees himself as a foodie from an area that prides itself in farm fresh food(DC and Northern VA), this restaurant was a refreshing find. The modern atmosphere of concrete and steel mixed with local charm makes this place interesting from the first few steps. The manager/owner greeted us and even came over to ensure our meal was satisfactory. For a small place off the turnpike in Bedford, we were surprised to find quality farm fresh food and ingredients. We were told the chef is young and innovative, changing items on the menu based on how it is received or the change in seasons. It’s nice to see a family owned and operated restaurant surrounded by chains. We would definitely eat here again!(The steak and shrimp are amazing).

My husband and I had brunch here Sunday. This was our first time at the Twisted Trout. We were delighted when we walked through the door and saw a very updated, clean and attractive restaurant. Great«U» shaped bar was great for having a drink before brunch. We are into craft beer and they had a very good selection. The owners we so friendly and talked with us quite a bit and even gave us a tour of their facility. They were obviously proud of what they had done to the restaurant since acquiring it last year. And they have good reason to be proud. The place looks great. They had a very tight brunch menu and we were delighted by our choices. The food was so good! A bit of a twist on some brunch favorites. Very nice! We will try other items out next time. Good stuff! Our server was very engaged, friendly, knowledgeable and focused. We looked at the dinner menu and we will definitely be back to try that out. All in all, a very good choice for us! We were very glad to have gone the Twisted Trout. Such a good and friendly place.

If they could manage to service customers in a timely manner, make the dishes consistently, take the glass of wine out of the owner’s hand and learn how to make ANY drink that isn’t a martini… it might survive.
