Not a bad run but nothing special. Things it has going for it: — Adequate fencing — Dedicated parking — Port-a-Potty in parking lot — Poop bags provided Things it has against it: — No separate large and small dog runs — No shade — No water — Limited seating — Grass ground cover(gets muddy after a good rain) I have been to this park only once and I have to say this dog park could be a lot better. There is nothing much to this run compared to others. Add a separate small dog run and bring in water and this is a solid 3 star run. Also change the ground cover, add shade, more seating and better fences and gates and this could be a 4 star run in my opinion. Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:

The dog park is okay at best. It can get really muddy. There is no place to sit in the shade. It would be nice if there was a water trough for the dogs. It’s a very nice area but once in a while some questionable people come and park there for lunch. Maybe harmless but still creepy. Too bad they didn’t put a fence around the entire grass lot next to it. That would have been great. At least it’s something for the town. The dog bag receptacle is always empty and the garbage is always overflowing with garbage.

This is a great little park in Bedminster off of Burnt Mills Rd. There’s a small play set for kids(with a simulated rock wall for climbing!), a baseball diamond, lots of open grassland, and a small dog park(open from dawn ’til dusk). I mainly go there for the dog park, and I really like it. Of course, there will always be people who will NEVER pick up after their dogs, but I do, and I watch out for piles of doo doo. My dog enjoys running around for a few minutes. During the weekdays, it’s usually empty, but there are often people there at night and on weekends. It’s a great place for a young family.

An update on the dog park: I am still pleased with the majority of the dogs/owners who come to this park although a black Lab attacked my Pitbull and hospitalized him a couple of months ago which was obviously horrifying. Just be careful and keep an eye on other people who don’t know their dogs as well as they think they do. Also, a lot of kids whose parents aren’t watching them sneak into the dog park which can cause a ruckus and make dogs nervous. Please don’t bring your children here!

This park is a smaller park, about ½ Acre. The conditions range from OK, to mostly dirt, and tall grass. It really depends when you go. There are benches and waste bags, but there is no water here. If your dog likes tennis balls though, there seems to be an abundance of them left at this park. This park is easy to find, and parking is available right out front. It seems busiest during the weekdays around 6:30pm, but we’re talking usually 4 dogs when it’s «busy.» The people who generally come are friendly, as are the dogs. Of course, every now and then there will be that one exception. My biggest concern is that they recently put up a playground right next to the dog park. Kids being kids will often wander up to the fences, call out to the dogs, and on occasion throw things over. Depending on your dog and/or the kids, this may or may not be a concern. Overall, this had made me slightly uneasy though.
