Brilliant collection of furniture, collectibles, bric-à-brac, home décor and more. Found this place because I missed a turn and both the wife and I came away incredibly impressed. Truly a jewel box seemingly in the middle of nowhere and even the prices seemed very sharp. We will definitely be back — probably with a van to load up and the stuff here! Kudos to the owner/buyer for such a great mix of artisan American products. And wow, the store itself if just gorgeous.

We’ve been shoppers at Lamington General Store for better than a dozen years and it is always a stop when we’re visiting friends who still live in NJ and who are frequent buyers at LGS. I posted several photos to provide the proverbial thousand words about this unique place. Here are some reasons you should visit the Lamiington General Store too… …a vast selection of seasonal and holiday decorating items …antique furniture and high quality reproductions ;…top quality artisan work from handbags to wood items to pottery …home décor items like candlesticks and wall art and chandeliers …lovely setting … building itself is worth the beautiful drive through Tewkesbury to see The building was an operating general store from the late 1880’s into the 1960’s when it was the Anthony General Store. Mr. Anthony and his mother(Bertha I believe) lived next door to the store, just as the current owner — a delightful and sophisticated woman — does today. When she purchased the building in the mid ’80’s she kept all of original elements — wood ceilings and floors as example in tact. It is a step back in time to visit here. More merchandise, antique furniture in particular, is to be found up the steep staircase on the second floor in addition to what photos show here of first floor treasures.
