This location is wonderful! The customer service is great and I didn’t even know about the point system until the cashier told me about it. I normally go to the location off Brodie, but got off work early and thought to try this location out. I am glad that I did. I went around 10am and so everyone was busy putting up new product and building displays; but once I had a question they were eager to help me. Also the Martha Stewart paints were buy one get one half off! score! I will be shopping here more often :)

The gentleman at the custom framing desk was exceedingly courteous and helped me choose and locate a frame and mat from their store stock. I really appreciated his helpful attitude and his time given that I wasn’t making a custom order.

Kudos to the framing department. They made a bad ass shadow box showcasing some war medals for me in the height of the holiday season and under the scrutiny of me checking on said medals several times during the week. This is something I wanted to make sure I would only have to do once and I couldn’t have been more pleased about the results. It made me look like a badass over the holidays. Thanks, Eric — but we need to talk about your adhesive work with war medals. — You do NOT stich through a ribbon. EVER … see you soooon

I hadn’t set foot in this store for quite a while since being treated extremely rudely by one of the employees some time back. I can’t remember her name. This experience, luckily, has been outweighed by the good ones once I decided to try again. I had almost given a one-star review over that past one, but thanks to the recent experiences, the employees I’ve encountered since have earned back quite a few of those stars. A few weeks ago I was in the store buying some toy gardening tools on clearance for my preschool gardening students. I needed just three or so more of a certain item so every student could have their own, so asked one of their cashiers, Leslie, if they had any more hidden anywhere. She sid she didn’t think so, then proceeded to call around the other Michael’s locations to find more for me! What a nice thing to do.(And she found them for me! Thank you, Leslie!) Also, I had broken down in front of this store another time and they were nothing but helpful. One of the employees even used her own car and jumper cables to help me(I’m sorry I can’t remember your name! I need to go back in and find that out. UPDATE: I went back and found it out ~ Heather is her name. Thanks again, Heather! Really. Reallyreallyreally.). Thanks, y’all! I really appreciate it.

This location is my favorite Michael’s in Austin. The inventory is amazing and well merchandised. Most of the staff go out of their way to be helpful. Some even remember my dog’s name! Prices are competitive and they accept competitor coupons too! It is easy to shop here and returns are hassle free.

Men — here’s everything you need to know: there’s a Best Buy across the street, and a bench inside Michaels(it’s at the back by the rest rooms). Restrooms are usually clean, and the staff leaves you alone if you sit at the bench, even if you sit for more than three hours. As for the actual content in the store, I can tell you two things. First, there is nothing here to interest men — even the models section is kind of bare. Second, my wife loves this place and can stay here in excess of three hours. Make sure your smartphone is fully charged before entering these doors.

Visited this Michaels location on the way home from work. I was hoping to pick up some supplies for a small project I am working on. The location is great, but they really didn’t have a great selection. I was looking for a few items that would typically be at any hobby store(various width masking tape, china markers, etc.) Unfortunately, neither I or the clerk could find what I needed. Hobby Lobby might be a better bet.
