The price is great, the food is great, the servers are rude. They are really quick though.

We came here at around 9 am for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The place were crowded but we were seated immediately. Our waiter Steve was awesome! He was friendly, polite and attentive. He provided our table with a full pot of hot, fresh coffee so we don’t have to keep getting up. The food was fresh and came out pretty fast. The Asiago bagel was delish! We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Today was very poor service. Complete rudeness by the one server and the cashier. 25 minutes to get any attention then she was rude, rude, rude! Took over an hour to get food and the order was wrong. I would normally rate this place a two star but today did it for us.

Very yummy pizza bagels. However, two reasons why I never eat here: — The location isn’t convenient. It’s a nightmare getting out of here and making your way further downtown. — The service usually isn’t great(even for a takeout). I’d stick to Einsten’s.

Our favorite local breakfast place. Any omelet is awesome. Bagels are alwaysfresh. Get here early to avoid the crowds. The staff knows our drink order and has always taken care of us promptly.

Bagels taste day old even on a busy Saturday morning. These DONOT compete with NYC bagel shops or even THB in Baltimore. Whoever wrote that is confused. A fresh bagel shouldn’t need to be toasted. The lox spread is lacking flavor. Bacon egg and cheese sandwich was better, but didn’t stand apart from Einstein down the street or grocery store bagels. Friendly enough place, but the food is NOT all that if you actually know the difference.

Great food but terrible service. Took over 20 min to be waited on and waitress never came back around to refill coffee, ask how the meal was or to bring the bill. The waitress was rude and they obviously needed more waiting staff. Waited a good while before giving up total hope that she was coming back to save the coffee situation or to give us the bill. Ended up going to the front to ask for it and waited another 10 min to get someone’s attention. My party and I agreed we would never be going back regardless of how good the food was. Unfortunately this wasn’t the first time this has happened there… but it was the last.

Great place for a quick bite. Everything is good and it’s all made to order. Bring the kids they are very kid friendly!

Gave them another shot on a sleepy Friday morning. Service was again poor. Espresso machine was non functional due to incomplete installation. My vote is to still avoid this place unless you are looking for average food and poor service/management.

These are really good bagels. Could compete with NYC bagel shops. Their veggie cream cheese is delicious. Cute place. Good service.

Awful. Took forever to get a simple bagel toasted with cream cheese and a coffee– over 15 mins. I could have went to the store bought coffee, bagels, and cream cheese went back to my house brewed a pot of coffee, toasted my bagel and ate it quicker than I got my food here. And to top it all off the parking lot for this place is a disaster. Never going back.

Definitely not the best bagel I had before. It’s not even fresh and not even toasted properly. Only saving grace is their Home fries.

I have grown up eating the delicious super cinnamon bagels at Bagel Works, so one day i decided to stop in and get a breakfast sandwich. Egads! I will never eat here again! The young guy making my breakfast sandwich was rubbing his nose and scratching his face and beard over my sandwich, then handling my food with the fingers that had just been all over his beard and nose! I have an iron stomach, but this was too much. It’s a shame. They have tasty food. I won’t be eating anything out of this kitchen again.

Meh. I’m from Jersey and their bagels that were voted best in Maryland aren’t much better then Costco bagels, if at all. I was so happy they had pork roll(Taylor ham) but when I ordered the breakfast pork roll egg and cheese sandwich, I got one thin slice of it which basically tasted non existent. It would have been better with at least two slices of meat but I don’t like restaurants that clearly cut corners. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

For a visitor to Harford County, this was a real treat to have such a place to share a bagel and tea with relatives — and people watch at the same time. As a cinnamon raisin bagel snob, the Bagel Works offering was a tiny disappointment; however, on subsequent visits, the Old Bay bagels with veggie cream cheese were a taste treat. During other visits, at varying times, business was brisk to very busy with short waits for seating. Parking was a bit of an annoyance, mainly due to the volume of customers and a small lot. Ambience, physical layout and décor were well thought out and executed in a pleasant, relaxed mode. Dine in and take out. Exceptional wait staff. A good many menu choices for breakfast and lunch. Pricing is a tad high, but one would have to work hard to spend over $ 10 per person. Really a pleasurable experience in total; well worth stopping by for either a quick bite or a leisurely breakfast or lunch. We will return here on future visits to Harford County.

This place is amazing! They have a great morning and lunch crowd that seems to be totally oblivious to the fact that the staff disregards some basic food safety rules. Example, the food preps don’t use the nitrile gloves provided for them and one day, I saw one picking skin off his hands, letting it drop on the cutting board. Harford health department has been in twice and given warnings, but to no avail. Yesterday, I saw the same thing happen and was told by the morning chef if I didn’t like it, not to come back. These people are in playing roulette with food safety, not to mention really bad customer relations. The food is really good, if you can stomach the handling.

Meh… bagels were ok, but nothing special. I found mold growing on my pound cake. would not recommend eating here.

Ok… so the wait was ridiculous and the crowd was annoying and the service was flustered and a little short-tempered, but the honey granola bagel with the sausage and cheese was phenomenal. The bagel itself wasn’t special. Nothing compared to Gregg’s in Belvedere Square, Baltimore. However, the surprise of double patties of sausage and the overflow of ooey gooey white american(?) cheese was heavenly. It definitely made the wait worth it. Good thing for them!

Great coffee, amazing omelets and the bagels aren’t bad for Maryland. Service is super friendly. The only disappointment might be the wait when they are busy, but it’s worth it.

Great breakfast location! Bagel Works can get very busy on the weekends, but it is worth waiting a few minutes for a table. They have a great menu with all of your typical breakfast items and they get you the food fast and fresh. We can generally get in and out in 30 minutes, and try to grab some bagels for the ride home. The asiago cheese and cinnamon bagels are great! I will admit that I really like Panera Bread, but this is a great alternative due to the ease of getting in and out quickly. The service has always been good and this place is worth a shot!
