This is not a true Double T! The gyro meat is some kind of compressed goop. Double Ts always have real gyro meat. This is a poor attempt at recreating the double Ts on US40 and Belair Rd. I didn’t see a single Greek working in this place.

Before I start this, I want to complement our server Boris… He was great. That being said I have some problems with the other servers. So, when my mother-in-law visits from Canada she loves to come to this restaurant. Great food, great choices, and normally great service. But, this time. Wow… I left upset. Our 4 month old son was a little cranky, not crying uncontrollably, but crying none the less. My mom-in-law walked him around the restaurant while we ate. As she was walking we heard a waitress complaining about us… And she was standing at the booth next to us… Wow. I stayed quiet but I wanted to say something. As she walked away from her conversation she said«yea, kids are crazy». Then looked at us. I am sorry my 4 month old son’s only way of communication is crying, but hey… aw well. If it bugs you that much then don’t be a waitress. I want to thank the other families there who were understanding. I know I won’t be coming back… And I will tell other people about this… Like others have said… The stories are true about the service.

It’s a diner. With a huge menu. It was shortly before noon on a Monday, we were seated immediately. I opted for a lunch selection while my companion had something from the breakfast menu. Our waiter was personable and offered refills on the coffee several times. Meals arrived in short order and ended up being more than we could eat!

Eh so it’s okay food. The dessert case looks impressive but it really is hit or miss(usually miss). If you are looking for a cheap breakfast, this place does it just fine.

Always enjoy going here. Nothing fancy, just good diner food. We always get either sandwiches or breakfast and always enjoy it

STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. I would give this place zero stars if I could. THISPLACEISRIDICULOUSLYBAD. We went to this place on 8⁄7 around noon. We were a group of 4 and 2 people ordered spinach pies. We were served spinach pie that had lots of sand in it. When we requested our server that the food had contamination, he made a face like he was being bothered. He said he was going to call the manager. Some guy showed up and said«the manager is too busy and I can speak for the manager». We told him that the spinach pie was contaminated and he said would we like to replace our dish or would we prefer to take the dish back. So far so good. We said we would like them to take the dish away and we will not be paying for contaminated food. He said ok and got our check. The check had 10 dollars charge(5 dollars each for 2 people) for the spinach pie. So, we asked the manager to inquire about the charge. She informed us that the 5 dollars was for the salad that comes with the pie. Okaaaay! When we told her that the server took out salad away and did not let us eat the salad she suddenly became hostile. We requested her to speak to the owners and she said that she is also the owner of the establishment and asked to leave the premises immediately. When we asked her name and server’s name and tried to take a picture she physically charged us and said«get out of my face». Definitely calling the Harford county health department and suing the place. I WOULDNOTRECOMMENDPATRONIZINGTHISESTABLISHMENT.

This place is great. The food… I wasn’t expecting much. It’s a Diner. Friendly staff. Old school. Looks like a place that can claim generations in a family coming to this establishment. I had Belgium Waffle with two scoops of ice cream. The Mrs had the French Toast. OK first of all, you’re not ready for the French Toast. It’s like nothing I have ever had. It’s not normal bread. That’s something special. No big chain(#Ihop #Dennys) could duplicate that. What I tasted was love and time. My waffle was great, but I stayed on her Toast. Scrambled eggs looked microwaved, but tasted really good. I have nothing bad to same about them. We will Definitely go again. I will have the French Toast, Lol.

Management of the restaurant is on the cheap. Charges to split a meal. Doesn’t offer to refill water or coffee. Used to be a good place to hang out and talk. No more. Food is generally good and lots of it.

Saturday morning — Disappointing meal for myself but others in our group of 5 had meals that were ok. Theirs consisted of chocolate chip pancakes, chicken cordon bleu panini with shrimp bisque, philly cheese steak. Nothing special except the cheese steak was missing«hots» and had no sauce. As to my meal, ugh! I had the 2 egg special, added bacon, substituted applesauce for the American fries. Eggs were served on a cold plate, bacon was way overdone. Something I had never encountered before — the meat part of the bacon was so hard I was seriously afraid of chipping a tooth. It, obviously, had been way over cooked sometime earlier and wasn’t even warm. Toast, what toast? Guess they forgot it. There was just no excuse for this meal; it was a travesty, a sin against food and a crime to serve that crap to a customer! I’m pretty sure this was not indicative of their norm but, holy cow, my meal was at the very nadir of quality. On my future visits to this area, Double T Diner will be preemptively eliminated as a choice.

I have been eating here for years. Lately the service has become deplorable. The food portions are huge as always, but the taste and quality of anything other than breakfast food is not good. Several servers are very pleasant, but the management seems to feel that the sheer number of customers in the area make the restaurant immune of a bad reputation. I suggest skipping this place. That being said, if you want an omelette, it will likely get a passing grade. Stay away from the big meals such as pasta and definitely avoid any kind of steak.

I wish that the rating of zero was available. Don’t go here as a group expecting to split the check. We rode in for Gettysburg Pa and the person in charge informed that our group, over 20 would have to be on one check. We additionally had reservations and were not informed of this policy. We go out to eat several times a month and have never encountered such a rude person ever. He finally agreed to two checks and they would slit it up at the register. The waitress was nice enough yo break it up to checks of 4 – 6 people. Well since she didn’t force us to two checks we could see the person that was rude to use was getting very upset with her and all she was trying to do was keep customers happy. We received our meals and they were adequate. Well when it was time to checkout the cashier informed us he couldn’t settle separately as we were informed and the entire check needed settling. This is not the first time our group went to this diner. They treated us as if we were not wanted. Take your business elsewhere. I know our bills were over $ 300 but our money isn’t any good here. Why they don’t want good customers. I guess as group of people ages 45+ are not welcome here.

Anyone that has eaten at a Double T would know that the portions are unnecessarily big, as is the menu. Actually the menu is more of a portfolio as its spiral bound and more than 3 pages long. This is usually worrysome as no place that is not attached to a market can possibly keep so many different foods fresh at all times. I used to come here with my parents as a kid and nothing has changed since. Now I only for breakfast with my girlfriend on occasion to split a large portion plate(even splitting there is still leftovers). While I feel uneasy coming here seeing all the signs of a bad place to eat, the bang for your buck is hard to ignore when your eating out on a budget.

A Ridiculous menu, ridiculous portion sizes, and subpar food – even for a diner. If you go, get diner food. I had some Greek entrees and ate less than half without taking a to-go box. I wish I would have had an omelet and a piece of pie. My food was borderline terrible and there was tons of it.

3.5 Stars for Double-T … as another reviewer states, you have to judge them on what they are — a Greek-style slightly divey diner. If you go there expecting a wonderful steak or seafood platter … well, first you need to get your head examined, and you’ll likely be disappointed. Honestly, I think places like the Double-T that offer vast menus and can’t execute everything to a solid consistency should just trim their menu down to the core items. But those core items can be quite good. We stopped in with the in-laws for lunch Sunday. As usual — and is the case with most brunch places in the Bel-Air area, the place was PACKED. But not so much that we had to wait and we were seated within a couple of minutes. Service isn’t the most cheery here — I can understand some of the reviews/complaints there — but it was generally efficient and polite. We started with soups … my wife’s panini came with the soup of the day, but she didn’t like the option(chicken noodle). My wife wanted the maryland Crab soup but the server said there were no substitutions, and adding the Maryland Crab would be full price. But my father-in-law said he’d take the chicken noodle soup, so no issues there. Both soups were pretty nice — definitely homemade stuff. The Maryland Crab did seem to be a bit heavy on the Old Bay and light on the crab, but tasty nonetheless. For my entrée, I debated on a few diner standards and settled on an old favorite — an open-faced hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes, and beets as my veggie. And it was great — the comfort food that I definitely was looking for. Mashed potatoes were homemade and very good, and the gravy was above par. My wife liked her tuna panini although I prefer my tuna salad to have some crunch into it — preferably with celery or pickles. She prefers her straight and thought it was good. The in-laws enjoyed their sandwiches, although my mother-in-law did feel they skimped on the sauerkraut on her«Cuban Reuben». We all thought that both the fries and the cole slaw were winners. I agree with the sentiment that service could be better. We waited a while to get our check while our server just stood at the front chatting with other servers. We were clearly finished and ready to go. We had some football to watch! But it wasn’t «bad» service by any means. This is only the second time I’ve eaten at any Double-T diner — my first was at their Pasadena location, and it wasn’t a pleasurable experience. This visit was good enough to have me wanting to come back again.

Anytime you see a menu with this many items on it — beware! The service was great and fast, but the food is terrible. Wife got a burger that was so so. The spaghetti with sauce was ordered by two in our party and both complained of an odd taste. I got the pastrami and was the worst I have ever had, and even the fries were poor. OK, there was a lot of desserts in the case, so we decide to see if it could save the visit. We were wrong, the cake my daughter got, definitely had an odd taste to the icing, and none of the other desserts were even worth eating. You could get better desserts at any grocery store in town.

This place has one of the largest menus I’ve ever seen. They are always busy and well staffed. As far as the food, it is diner food. It is above your dive diners but it is still a diner. So don’t go expecting the best food you’ve ever tasted. Go expecting huge portions of deliciously unhealthy food. It is Greek themed so the menu does have that twist to it. I think people need to remember it is a diner though, so avoid ordering seafood or big dinners thinking you’ll be happy. Stick to wraps, sandwiches, gyros, etc. The fries here are really good. I also really like their soups, especially their french onion. With that being said, I have had a couple of wraps and the gyro. I have no complaints about anything I’ve ordered here. I always leave full and I get what I expect. Service is quick and you can get in and out pretty quickly. It is very moderately priced too. Breakfast here is always packed, and for good reason. So much food so early. They serve it all day too. It is relatively inexpensive especially for what you get. Their pancakes are really good. Just remember it is busy and is set up to serve lots amounts of people, especially families. You’ll likely see tables of 12 or so people, usually with a bunch of kids, so don’t expect a quiet dinner. It is a cheap dinner option so it appeals to a lot of families who need to feed their kids. Personally, I like this place for lunch. And one last thing, try the desserts. They’re on display in the front and they’re delicious.
