Order the Shrimp fried rice with xtra shrimp. The shrimp toast is also awesome. You can’t go wrong

Bottom Line Up Front: The food is tasty and they’re one of the better Chinese restaurants in Bel Air. However, the wait for your food is ridiculous! I’ve never seen a Chinese restaurant that takes 35 minutes to prepare fried rice, soup and egg foo young. This has happened to many times when I’ve called to order and at this point I’m disgusted. With that said, I’m going to take my business to another Chinese restaurant in Bel Air that cooks just as good or even better with less of a wait. For example, the Orient downtown or Chopsticks in Forest Hills.

I got the steamed vegetables. There were so much broccoli in there I was surprised. Cooked perfectly. It was spicy and flavorful. They made it a lunch special, although it only showed on the dinner side, with rice and a drink. It was less than $ 8. Plenty for lunch. I will be going back again. Delicious.

Being from the west coast, we get super spoiled with two types of food: Mexican, and Chinese. I ordered the Kung Pao Beef, General Tso’s Chicken, and egg rolls. Downside: Bland, all of it, no flavor. Kung Pao is traditionally made with Szechwan peppers, and I could find no evidence of any spice of any kind. General Tso’s Chicken should have a medium to dark saucy appearance with a bit of kick as well, is deep-fried twice, and has pretty much always been served with broccoli. I do believe I got a jacked up Mandarin Chicken dish disguised as the General’s chicken. I’m just glad he’s not alive to experience this. Upside: There’s a ton of it, and I may be able to grab some ingredients from Wegmans and right this horrible wrong. …still waiting for the food gods to smile upon me(somewhere in Maryland).

Great place for Chinese. Lunch special has good price with a lot of food. No seating just take out is available.

The food here is great– much, much better than any of the other Asian take-out places in this area. My only complaint is that they never seem to have the Mei Fun. Almost every time I call to order it, they don’t have it, even though it’s on the menu. So I have to drive to Peking House in Perry Hall to get good Mei Fun, which is so disappointing because Kim Wah’s is better when they actually have it. Other than that, I love this place. Their food is excellent and the people are nice and friendly.

All I can say is wow! I had heard that this was the best chinese food in Bel Air and that was the truth! The food is very fresh and flavorful, the prices are good for the amount of food you get and the service is great. I would definitely recommend to call ahead though, this place seems to get quite busy, especially on the weekends. The wait can get up to over an hour, which further proves how popular this place is! I would definitely recommend Kim Wah to anyone in Bel Air looking for some carry out chinese food.

I’m beginning to think that more people post negative stuff here and don’t spread the positive. I don’t Unilocal much but I do when really bad and more so really good. Great food, great service. Simply put a great experience

Large portions. Good portion of meat in most dishes. All white meat General Tso is a good one. Mongolian beef is tender and tasty. I recommend!

Great food… But beware of the cost! They don’t put the prices on their menu or online. I was new to the neighborhood and decided to order for me and my boyfriend. Wonton soup, shrimp and broccoli and general tsos. Typical for dinner. Was expecting about 20 dollars… Was 34! Only thing that justified it was a TON of food and it was delish.

I have eaten(carry out only) many times. Food is good and they are consistent with their quality/quantity. Price is fair and Mae will get it right.

Alot of food with a little flavor. We ordered from Kim wah on NYE based on reviews from Unilocal. The shrimp lo mein had a ton of noodles that were dry, very little shrimp or veggies. The shrimp fried rice was dry. We were extremely disappointed.

For carry out in belair or forest hill this place is the best. Large portions, good taste, and timely service. Plus the price is reasonable. I will continue to order here as I’ve not had a bad meal in about 4 carry out orders. I’m not sure if you can eat in as it’s mainly take away orders but there is a few tables.

Twenty minutes for chicken fried rice take out? Too long. I canceled my order. No need to return here.

Best Chinese food in bel air, hands down. For the price you pay, you get more than enough food and it’s delicious on top of that. I’d recommend getting a lunch special, the portions are huge and you don’t even pay that much! If you live in bel air and are looking for Chinese, this is the place to go. Carry out only though.

Best Chinese food in Bel Air. It’s cheaper and has better portions than the big name places. I gladly drive a crossed town to get their food.

Placed an order for carry out on a Friday night. It was ready 10 minutes sooner than their estimate. We ordered chicken chow mein, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, Hunan chicken, and egg rolls… and the order was correct. Our only negative was the Hunan chicken was barely spicy, and that is according to our tastes which run to the spicier side. All the rest was well prepared with regard to taste, texture and seasoning. The portion sizes were large enough that 2 family meals were had for the price of one. Value, quality and quantity of food, order accuracy and fast service on a busy night were all exceptional! On the whole compared to other non-chain west coast, midwest and east coast Chinese restaurants, this restaurant rates 4 ½ stars because they have no dine-in capacity. Secondarily, it is an Americanized Chinese menu, albeit well executed. Kim Wah is not upscale like PF Chang; neither is it a divey or fast food chain restaurant like Panda Express or Happy Wok. It hits or exceeds the mark in just about every respect as to what Americans generally want for Chinese food.(See my reviews for Green Garden in Woodstock, IL and Golden Dragon in Grand Rapids, MI.)
