Came here on Black Friday. They had a awesome sale on shoes. But 1 get 1. I had a few questions regarding the shoes and there was no one in sight. After a while I seen one of the security guys and they helped me with the questions I had. Mainly which shoes were excluded in the sale really. The store is well stocked. But to only have a few employees working on Black Friday is a bad idea. A lot of customers were just wondering around everywhere trying to find employees to help them.

Purchased a Kenmore 1.7 Cu ft Over the Range Microwave Oven on 3÷22÷2013. Paid $ 275. Lasted just over 2 years and stopped working a week ago. Lat microwave lasted well over 10 years. Also bought a oven/stove which already started rusting. Poor quality.

Didn’t recall I wrote this review before I attempted to redeem the rebates for my mattress. Either the saleslady when I purchased misrepresented to me or misunderstood herself what rebates were applicable to my purchase. Went back here today(what prompted me to update my review) to pickup an online purchase. While the staff were friendly and helpful when assisting me, the Sears online ordering system is the most confounding process ever. So you order online, print out your receipt(all you need is a barcode). You go to the store, scan the barcode, swipe your card, and wait for an associate. Then the associate comes out, and you have to type in the last 4 digits of you card, let the associate verify your ID using your drivers license, and THEN you have to sign the receipt. I’ll just… never buy anything from Sears again, because I can’t easily get parts.

I chose Sears to purchase a water softener for my new home. The entire process was horrible from start to finish. The process began with a mid-week visit to Sears and an interaction with a middle aged male sales representative who made it very clear that he knew absolutely nothing about the line of water softeners that they offered and was obviously more interested in the middle aged couple behind me that was shopping for a refrigerator. I could only come to the conclusion that the refrigerators had a higher commission structure. On my next visit, I met an associate who knew the product and was willing to work with me. I purchased the water softener and she was clear in the order that it would be a new installation for their installers and that they would have to complete plumbing work between my well pump and the water softener. When the installer arrives(over an hour late on the scheduled day) he began to argue with me in broken english that he was only there to remove an old water softener and plug in the new one. I explained to him that I did not need a plumber to swap units and I could have saved $ 240 and performed the work myself. He refused to do the work stating that he drove 65 miles to my location and had other jobs to complete that day. Sears did accept the return of the product, but the process was a complete hassle from start to finish. I refuse to purchase another appliance from Sears. For my new home, I purchased my washer/dryer at Lowes and they offered next day delivery which Sears could not do. Sears only offered delivery to North East, MD on a single day per week. The Lowes product that compared to Sears was also $ 300 less for the pair, and charged no delivery/installation fee.
