First off, it’s a little overpriced, or maybe it’s just in the wrong place. If I were, say, at the beach, I might be more inclined to drop $ 5 on a small gelato. And it IS small(unlike certain local ice cream places in Harford County). There are a lot of flavors and yummy looking treats but we weren’t impressed with the chocolate hazelnut gelato. The real complaint was that I specifically asked for my Americano to be six ounces, explaining that I like it strong. I got a twelve ounce cup filled to the brim and of course too hot. It cooled down and it was okay so I won’t knock the quality of the coffee, which is quite sparse in Harford County. Quality coffee that is.

I love their daily specials! Monday is my favorite with $ 3 Cannolis! My sister and I tried thier paninis for the first time and we were not disappointed. We both had the big boss and it was awesome. For under $ 9 you get a huge sandwich good for 2 meals, a soda, and a side. I had pasta salad which was good and my sister had the tortellini salad which she said was. She also only ate the white the tortellini, I thought they were all good. Thursday is $ 3 cake day so we had a choc cannoli slice abs choc hazelnut, but we’re great!

nice place to have a great Italian pastry and coffee when visiting the Inner Harbor. It can get crazy but it is worth the wait. table service can be inconsistent at times, but they are so nice and their recommendations are spot on.

Waste of time and money. Café latte didn’t have any taste(maybe the coffee bean is old), cream puff is gross and stale. Extremely disappointing. By the way, no brown or cane sugar… C’mon! What kind of coffee place is this?

No reviews on this location in 2014 yet, so I’m taking the time to SAVEYOU from wasting your own. Hubby and I had a hankering for coffee and a pastry Saturday afternoon after a quick lunch at Bonefish(2 – 3 stores down by Harford Mall). We Googled coffee shops and realized Vaccaros was just next door basically. Initially when entering I realized teenagers who don’t care about their jobs are running the place while they focus on figuring out where to plug their chargers in for their cell phones rather than greet /acknowledge customers. I asked if they had some type of frap or iced mocha coffee. Kid says they don’t have the equipment for anything but regular and iced/flavored coffee. So, I ordered an iced mocha coffee, and hubby got hot coffee. In the tiny corner between the counter and the fountain soda machine he went to work to make his coffee in a 5 «space while other people waited behind him to get soda, or make their own coffee. I asked what brand of coffee they use while hubby was rushing to make room for others, and the kid replies with „i dunno“. I pointed to the bag of coffee on the bottom rack and the boy asks the uninterested girl who is standing right next to the shelving unit housing the coffee“what brand coffee do we have?», and she snaps«I DONTKNOW!» and proceeds to glare a dirty look in my direction. Meanwhile I’m thinking«I pray my own kids learn better work ethics than this»! It doesnt matter anyway because we threw it out before we even got to the car. I can drink just about any coffee… except vaccaros. Bitter and dirty. I ordered an apple napoleon and hubby ordered an éclair. $ 20 total! He thought the éclair was so bad he threw it out. This from a man who will enjoy just about anything. He said the filling wasn’t right, and the outer shell too dry, the chocolate layer was over-the-top sweet without the«good» chocolate flavor. Apple Nap. was bad. Bad like… old. Two bites and I knew it was shelf sitting. Or low quality ingredients. Bland. Save your time and your money! We drove to Yia Yia’s the next day to start over.

Stopped in here to get cannolis. and they were as good now as they were years ago when I first tried them at the original store. Pricey? a little bit, BUT this is GOOD Italian pastry and the adage of you get what you pay for applies here. The girls working were friendly and quick to fill our orders and everything was fresh and delicious!

Bad Service Review Today after lunch, I took my grandson to Vaccaro’s for a cookie. My wife and I love their cookies, and I know that they are expensive, but they are usually worth it. Today I am not rating their cookies or their gelato, which are very superior products, but instead I am rating the service I received today. I hate to say I am downgrading my rating from 4-starts to 3-stars at this location because the service was terrible. When I first walked in there was only a young girl behind the counter, but it was obvious that she was talking to at least one other person in the kitchen. It wasn’t busy, just two people ahead of me, but the girl was carrying on and laughing up a storm. Finally a young guy walks out of the kitchen and starts to help the person in front of me… then I notice there is a third person in the kitchen who never appeared. The 20-something year old girl waiting on me acted put out that she needed to move. She did ask me what I would like and I told her I was going to get some cookies. I picked out 4 varieties and told her a «couple» of each, that should have been 8 cookies or about $ 7, instead she tells me $ 10.45 and I paid her. Then I noticed after we sat down that a couple to her was not the normal 2, but instead it meant 3. I wonder if she has problems with relationships when it comes to couples too? Instead of going to their Little Italy store, I just might quit going altogether. Bad service leaves just as bad a taste in your mouth as bad food!!!

Ok. So every Tuesday my co-workers and I have taken advantage of the«customer appreciation» latte/capp day at Vaccaro’s in Bel Air because we work near there. After our Tuesday meeting it is a nice treat to start the day! As of late this is not the case they have hired a curly headed kid and slapped a title on him as «manager», please! He is hardly a manager. The problem arose when they have introduced a new flavored latte for the fall, Pumpkin spice which is NOT part of the Tuesday deal for what ever reason. I don’t know if the powder vs. the milk that they put in that is more expensive or what. There is no sign to tell you that it is not part of the deal either until they make your drank and ring you up. Then you tell them I’m not paying that and they proceed to throw it right down the drain can’t cost them to much if they pour it down the drain, right? Hmmm… This actually happened to my co-worker last Tuesday she then called down to the store in Little Italy in B-more and they said they would handle it. Handle it they DIDN’T! Because when I went in there yesterday not only did I get ignored for 10 mins before the«manager» walked up and said«what do you need?» as though I was interrupting his day! I asked for 2 lattes and 1 capp, one of which was the dreadful Pumpkin Spice. Anyway he started to make them and asked the brown haired girl to ring me up. She added all three up and total came to 10 something. I said $ 10 dollars she said«Yes, the pumpkin spice is not included with the special on Tuesday. I said ok well I just got one last week from you, you made it and I paid 2.50. To which she responded again it is not part of the deal. I said ok whatever handed her my card and paid for the coffees. Then with a smirk she said«Have a nice day!» I looked at her and then she said«Or not!» turned her head and started watching Regis and Kelly on the TV in there. Now I was a child once to but I have never treated a customer in such a way! I have been in sales for the past 8 years and I would never represent a company they way that these kids do! This company was started in 1956 and after all these years and finally coming into a small community such as Bel Air where everyone knows everyone and letting these children ruin there reputation it really blows my mind! All that said it looks like Vaccaro’s needs to clean house and get some real workers in there instead of these high schoolers. Who only want to gossip behind the counter or do their homework at the tables and don’t even acknowledge your there. All in all Vaccaro’s has yummy treats and delicious coffees, but I refuse to be treated in the way that I was. They need to step it up with the customer service! But until that day comes I’m going back to Starbucks at least that’s worth the money!

Like the other reviews mentioned the place is staffed by high schoolers but the service was pretty fast. I ordered the apple napoleon and a medium latte with soy. The napoleon was decent at first but the frosting was too sweet on top. The puff pastry also wasn’t crunchy but I guess it was sitting in the refrigerator display case all day so I’m not surprised. After a few bites it made me feel a bit sick so I threw out the rest. The latte took a long time to make and it tasted wierd so I drank half and threw the rest down the drain. Also I’m pretty sure they didn’t use soy like I asked since it gave me stomach problems since I’m lactose intolerant. Next time I’ll go somewhere else for my desserts…

I agree with Amy G. The service is AWFUL. There are a bunch of high school girls SITTING at a table chatting and ignoring customers while some guy in the back does all of the work. Saying that, the food is SOOOO good. I love love love the paninis and muffallta and the desserts are good too.

I went to Vaccaro’s on Mother’s Day with my mom. I understand this is a Vaccaro’s location in the Harford Mall, so I had low expectations. However, the customer service was horrendous. A bunch of high school kids standing around chatting with their friends instead of waiting on the line of customers. The cashier had such attitude and took forever to give me my change because her friend came into the store and decided talking with her is more important. I finally said can I have my change back? The pastries were good but not great. Not worth it considering the poor customer service too. There are lots of better places to spend your time and money.
