This nice place is a gem! Fresh bakery treats are a must. Delicious large portions for your money.

I highly recommend the baked goods here. We really love the cranberry apple pie with crumb topping. Cookies and breads are also great. Breakfast is good but expect a wait on weekends.

BEST breakfast in the area. They fill up quickly on the weekends, but hey, that’s a good sign to me. I’d rather wait a bit for a good meal than be seated quickly for something mediocre. Great prices, tasty home made bread, creative specials, fresh ingredients, and great service. I’m a big fan of the pancakes, french toast, and seeded rye bread. The only thing keeping me from 5 stars was the coffee– I’m thinking I was just given a pot that had been sitting out for a bit.

This is a charming place to go out of your way for. Wonderful bake goods. If you are planning a meeting place with friends or if you are looking for a destination for that«let’s take a drive and see where we end up». this is the place. Enjoy!

The Mister and I stopped in this weekend for the first time, on our way to see family in western Mass. Kristina’s was a nice little surprise. The service was fast & friendly, the food was excellent, and the price was right! Oh, and, great coffee. We love breakfast any time of the day, so it was just the ticket. We recommend:)

My business associate insisted we stop here for a sandwich on our way home to north central-Mass from Springfield. We got there just before their 2PM closing time but they still served us. I had a KILLER reuben sandwich on their in-house-made whole wheat bread. It was soooooo good. I opted for sauerkraut over cole slaw and their was a hint of horseradish in there, too. The huge hunks of corned beef were pretty darn tasty! The house-made baked goods were beckoning from within their glass display case but I managed to exercise self-control. Will definitely be back to check out their breakfast and more lunches as Kristina’s is just a hop, skip and a jump from the intersection of routes 9 and 202 where I frequently through when I’m out motorcycling with chums. Very friendly proprietor. Cute, too! ;-)

LOVELOVELOVE this spot! My sister and her husband just moved to Belchertown and were introduced to Kristina’s while visiting them both. We went there twice while in town; once for take out and once for a sit down breakfast. The home made pastries and breads are to die for. I’m a big fan of their chocolate cheesecake muffin and their rye bread. I ended up ordering a loaf to take home to NY with us. Their breakfasts are delicious! I had an omelette, home fries, and rye bread. The omelette was fluffy, home fries were well seasoned and the rye bread is a must! They also have great iced tea and flavored coffees. The décor in this place is country and cute. The staff are very friendly, service is fast and with a smile! The only thing I can say is come early! They get crowded pretty quick. We got there early for breakfast, but noticed as people were piling in, there is no standing room to wait for tables. It’s easy to feel like you are in the way while waiting for a table. We need more of these good, friendly, home cooking joints around!

Great lunches. Terrific homemade baked goods although not enough whole wheat options. The owner is usually there and very attentive.

Living in town, I’ve only went there once. The food is mediocre and the service is awful. When I went there my first and last time, it took an absurd amount of time to cook an omelet that would be embarrassing to serve at any other restaurant. I asked for a refill and the waitress ignored me and served me warm water instead. I could hear the owner being extraordinarily rude to her employees in the back. I would not give them my business again, I would rather go to Dunkin or Kelly’s in Amherst.

We were very disappointed during our last visit. I am visiting my parents from out of town, and thought we’d have breakfast at Kristina’s. When we arrived we discovered that they stop serving breakfast at 11AM. Since it was 11:20AM, we decided to ask if they could make an exception. The answer was no, so we decided to move on since breakfast is really what makes this place good, and the lunch options weren’t that exciting.

My go-to breakfast place! Delicious homemade bread always available. Moderate prices, which is fair as everything is made from scratch. Very, very busy on Sundays!

Upon entering Kristina’s Kafe I was greeted by a sign that read move to the left of the rug to not block the entrance per order of Fire Marshal. What a welcoming sign to your breakfast place. Maybe the marshal just showed up and that’s why our waitress, who is the owner, was very rude towards us. I guess if you don’t order coffee at 10am at $ 3 a cup, that’s what you get. There was no «good morning folks, how are you today?» Their menu is very restricted if you go there for breakfast during the week for they only serve Eggs Benedict on Saturday and Sunday. There was no one in there and we waited 20 minutes for a couple eggs and another 20 for the owner to take our money. Upon seeing my mother’s credit card was unsigned the owner was very hesitant to slide it. Ya, we just stole this card and to celebrate we’re eating at a little mediocre breakfast joint in Belchertown, no shopping sprees for us. Can you hear my sarcasm? I then hear the owner yell out«who drives a blue Ford? A lady raises her hand and says«I do.» «You’re parked in a handicap spot.» «I know, I’m handicap.» «Oh, I didn’t see your sign.» The owner replies. Why is this owner so paranoid? The food was nothing special and way too expensive. Save your money and eat at home.

I have only been once this past week but I will be back!!! Breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was kind and helpful. The bread! omg the bread! I will be buying a full loaf, I believe they sell the homemade bread there. So happy I found this place!!!

I came across this little café as I was driving around looking for lunch. I thought it looked«home-y» and quaint. The inside is complete with the American flag décor(small wooden palets on the wall painted red white and blue and other items). This gave the café a very Americana feel to it. Being in western Mass, it had a small town feel as well. The atmosphere was great! I ordered a simple cheeseburger and a bowl of clam chowder. The meal itself was alright, nothing that special about it. Maybe those were the wrong items to order, though. They weren’t bad, but it was pretty standard. I would go back if I was in the area. Wasn’t that expensive.

Kristina’s is certainly highly-ranked on here, and it’s in Belchertown so I can see why, but I came away with a three-star perspective. The atmosphere is lovely, a little breakfast place squirreled away beside the common. It’s homey and inviting and we loved just sitting there. The jist of the reviews I read was that the bread is wonderful, and I agree. My toast was easily the best thing on my plate. Warm, fresh, flavorful. As good as bread gets. Everything else, though, was kinda middling. The hash was from a can(which is okay, I like canned hash), the sausage seemed like it had been frozen, the home fries were just kinda there. The eggs were very fresh-tasting. The coffee took a while to be refilled and according to our receipt cost $ 2.10, which we found surprising. Otherwise the prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed our visit but we should have focused on their bread-based foods. I wish they’d put the same love into the rest of their food that the bread had, because that was kinda enchanting.

Kristina’s is a kozy(sorry) kafe(ugh) with a kountry(SORRY) vibe. We stopped in for breakfast one morning while house-sitting for my in-laws’ in Belchertown, and waited a somewhat long time to be seated, while the hostess cleaned every empty tabletop in the restaurant. I ordered an omelette, which was a little bland– it tasted as though neither the eggs themselves nor the ingredients had been seasoned. The home fries were just fine, and the homemade rye bread was delicious. Prices at Kristina’s are comparable to other breakfast/lunch restaurants in the area(although a bit lower than Roadhouse’s, but Roadhouse is local, organic, etc.), and other than the initial seating snafu, the service was fine for the remainder of our breakfast.

This is truly the quintessential ‘hole-in-the-wall’ breakfast nook; nothing horribly fancy and honestly, who wants fancy first thing in the morning?(or possibly late morning after a long night… but you get my drift). The food is precisely what it should be(based on the dishes I sampled), the coffee is quality, and the service fantastic. We ordered an omelet with cheddar and hash(the waitress subtly implied that this was strange or somehow lacking but I was going for clarity rather than my more typical overstuffed mess, but the pricing of additional items kept me honest) which came with toast. The omelet was perfectly cooked(very rare for this type of ‘joint’: more typical would be somewhat burnt rather than golden and glistening as this one arrived) and the hash was a nice salty contrast to the egg. The toast was a homemade rye sliced thick, certainly a highlight on the plate. I will be honest and state that I’m not a huge bread ‘nut’ but my girlfriend assured me that it was fantastic and it fit the role perfectly for me(i.e. provided a nice platform for butter and grape jelly). My girlfriend had something dubbed ‘Steve’s breakfast thing’ or similar(essentially some veggies etc. scrambled up with eggs) and this was very tasty and homey; my daughter got pancakes and bacon and, when asked how she felt about the ‘cakes, indicated with prototypical teenage indifference that they were ‘OK’. Coffee was above average for this type of setting and, as stated above, the service was enthusiastic, friendly, and quite speedy. If I had to complain about anything(and this is truly niggling at best) I would say I felt a little limited by having to pick individual ingredients to go into my omelet rather than having a selection of pre-styled omelets(I’m lazy when it comes to decision-making what can I say); and further, the prices of those ingredients felt a tad steep(.95 each for, say, onions…1.85 for my hash etc.). Overall a nice experience and recommended for a solid breakfast spot.

Finally made it to Kristina’s for breakfast this past weekend and I’m happy to report that it lived up to the accolades! The interior is comfortable, there is a private off-street parking lot around back, the staff was delightfully attentive and pleasant, and the food was solid. Ryan got a corned beef hash omelet with homemade rye toast, Britt got her usual stack of pancakes with a side of bacon, and I got a breakfast scramble with home fries and homemade whole grain cranberry toast. I thought mine was the best :) It had a catchy name which I now forget… something like«Steve’s Special Scramble»…three eggs with ham, bacon, onions, peppers and cheese. I would look up the name for you, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a menu for Kristina’s online. The home fries were pretty standard; well cooked, not greasy, plenty satisfying, but not particularly«wow.» I guess decades of weekend mornings at Sylvester’s in Northampton have trained me to prefer more aggressive, herbier seasoning on my home fries… but that’s just me. The whole grain cranberry toast was delish, and I think I’d have a hard time ordering anything different next time. There was a choice of three store-bought varieties of bread and half a dozen or so homemade. I went with our server’s recommendation and she did not steer me wrong! I also couldn’t resist trying the Blueberry Muffin flavored coffee that she recommended, which was similarly yummy. Pics of everything uploaded. Most of the breakfasts were in the $ 8-ish range(again, I would confirm this if I could find an online menu!) which is pretty standard for this area and quality comes at a price; however, I felt that the omelet was a *tad* expensive and I wished that it came with home fries. As I recall, the basic cheese was $ 5 or $ 6, and additional ingredients were I think in the $ 1.50-$ 2.00 range. Not a huge deal, but if you like a lot going on, then I would go with the scramble or be prepared to pay a premium ;) In my ideal world, a good but fairly standard home-cooked breakfast in a small town would come out at about $ 8 per person, and I think our bill for the three of us was somewhere in the low $ 30s…that pushes us up into Esselon territory, where we would eat locally sourced benedicts with sides of organic baby greens, or challah french toast with fresh berries and local maple syrup, all in a beautiful garden setting. Kristina’s is very good, but two of our three breakfasts were just a little too standard to push this place into the five-star range(see photos)…although, when I think of the whole grain cranberry toast, I’m tempted…
